I called this salon beforehand and was given the price for chrome/cat-eye nails, but I was never told about the additional $5 nail-shape charge per hand. From the beginning, the lady in the attached pictures was rude, but I kept giving her the benefit of the doubt. I showed her the style I wanted and picked my own colors because she said she couldn't provide suggestions. After multiple changes between technicians, I eventually asked her to do my nails because I was tired of repeating the colors and design. While she was doing my nails, she made comments in Chinese that I couldn't understand. At one point, I accidentally touched one nail against the UV lamp and politely asked if it looked okay. Instead of answering normally, she became extremely angry and started yelling, "WHY YOU ASKING ME?" and "TELL ME YOU WANNA DO OR NOT." She then grabbed/pulled my hand and attempted to cut my nail while the top coat was still wet. Her behavior became aggressive enough that I started recording and seriously considered calling 911. She later walked away and left my nails unfinished. When I tried to leave, she came over, closed the door, and prevented me from leaving until the other technician agreed to finish my nails. By then, my nails were damaged, as shown in the pictures. The final bill was also higher than what I was told on the phone. I was charged $20 for cat-eye when I was told $15, plus additional nail-shape charges that were never disclosed beforehand. My total was $131 plus tax ($136), and I separately tipped the technician $5. This wasn't simply a bad manicure. The unexpected charges were frustrating, but the aggressive behavior, grabbing my hand, yelling at me, leaving my service unfinished, and preventing me from leaving were completely unacceptable.

When I arrived, I noticed they had pedicure chairs, so I asked if a pedicure was available. She said yes, but while setting up the chair, she told me to get my nails done first. I agreed because the person who was supposed to do my pedicure was busy, and she told me that she personally doesn't do pedicures. I showed her the nail style I wanted, but she said she couldn't give me suggestions or help me choose the colors. That's fair -- I picked the colors myself. After she prepared my nails and applied the acrylic, she then asked me to get my pedicure in between. I agreed again because another customer was waiting to get her nails done after her pedicure. Once my pedicure was finished, she asked the other technician to do my nails. Since I had already explained the colors and style to her, I now had to explain everything again to the other technician. There was also a communication barrier because he didn't understand English well, so he kept checking with her about what I wanted. I eventually asked her if she could do my nails herself. This is where the situation became extremely uncomfortable. She had been rude to me from the beginning, but I kept giving her the benefit of the doubt. When I asked her to do my nails, she became visibly upset. While working on my nails, she was also making comments in Chinese. I couldn't understand what she was saying at the time, but I was able to translate some of it afterward. At one point, I accidentally touched one of my fingers against the wall of the UV lamp while putting my hand inside. I immediately apologized and politely asked her if the nail still looked okay because I wanted her professional opinion. Instead of simply telling me whether it was fine or needed to be fixed, she became extremely angry and started yelling: "WHY YOU ASKING ME?" "TELL ME YOU WANNA DO OR NOT." I was genuinely asking for her professional opinion and was not being disrespectful to her. She then took a nail cutter, grabbed/pulled my hand toward her, and attempted to cut my nail even though the top coat had not even dried yet. Her behavior became aggressive and, in my opinion, crossed the line into physically intimidating behavior. At that point, I started recording because I was genuinely concerned about the situation and was very close to calling 911. I normally would not take things that far, but I felt extremely uncomfortable and unsafe. They should have it in their cameras too. She then walked away and started working on another customer's nails, leaving my nails unfinished. I asked the other technician if he could finish them, but initially he didn't respond or move. When I tried to leave, she came running over, closed the door, and blocked me from leaving. Eventually, the other technician told me he would finish my nails. By that point, my nails were already damaged/ruined, as shown in the attached pictures. I honestly just wanted to leave. The billing was another issue. As you can see from the receipt, I was charged $15 more than I expected. She claimed that she had told me there was a $10 nail-shape charge and another $5 charge for cat-eye. However, when I originally called, I was told the price for the chrome/cat-eye service, but I was never told about the additional nail-shape charge. I was charged $20 for the cat-eye service even though I was originally told it would be $15. My total came to $131 plus tax, $136, and I paid the other technician a $5 tip because he asked me to.
