I've been coming to J&V nail studio for 2 years. I've had really great experience from start to finish. They always remember my name, the space is clean, well-organized, with a relaxing atmosphere that immediately makes me feel comfortable. The staff is warm and attentive without being overwhelming. Every nail technician at this nail salon makes sure everything is done carefully and exactly how I wanted. I appreciate how detail-oriented they were, especially with shaping and polish application--no rushing, no shortcuts. The final result always looks amazing! Another thing I noticed was how hygienic everything was. Tools appeared properly sanitized, and the stations were kept clean throughout the service, which is always important to me. Overall, I would definitely recommend J&V Nail Studio to anyone looking for quality service, a welcoming environment, and great results. I'll definitely keep coming back! read more

I initially visited this salon for a pedicure. Impressed by the quality of the work, I scheduled an appointment for GelX the following day. While paying, I shared an inspiration picture with the owner, who quoted me around $90. However, when I arrived for my GelX appointment, they informed me that they didn't have the desired charms and would have to create them using gel. I expressed my preference for charms because it's less prone to getting dirty quickly. During the appointment, I showed Candy another design. She requested the owner's presence to finalize the total price. The owner quoted me $10 for the length and $5 for the shape, which seemed unusual since there was no filing done to the tip. When I inquired about the $5 charge for the shape, even though the extension comes pre-shaped, the owner changed the price to $15 for the length. When I questioned the owner about this discrepancy, she claimed that since it was my second time and we're all Chinese, she wouldn't charge me. I asked her for a total price and she told me $100. Upon paying, The owner (Jae I think) informed me that the nails would cost $175. The $100 she had initially quoted me was only for the style. I was required to pay an additional $60 for the GelX and $15 for the length, even though she had previously stated that she wouldn't charge for the shape. I was so bewildered that I couldn't even argue with her. On Saturday, I received beautiful Gel-X extensions. Unfortunately, by Thursday (the second day of my vacation), two of the nails had already lifted. While Candy's work was indeed beautiful, it unfortunately didn't last. Despite my preference for Gel-X extensions, which are longer and last at least three weeks, I kept being persuaded to switch to Gel extensions. It's unfortunate because I work on the same street and have had numerous customers ask me where I get my nails done. I must warn them to be cautious of price changes at the last minute while paying. read more

I've been to J&V a few times and their services are fairly consistent. Perks It is super easy to make an appointment and generally there isn't a long wait if you are a walk in client. They have a lot of polish options. They seem clean and they do a relatively good job for the cost of the services. Cons Some technicians are better than others. Sometimes it can feel a bit rushed if you go at the end of the day. Overall A solid spot to get your nails done. read more

I've been to multiple nail salons and so far this place is the most hygienic and great price for service! The ladies were very attentive and nice. The foot massage with the pedicure was AMAZING, my calves and feet have never felt so relaxed after a 10min massage (5min per foot). They even have a section where you can sit and blow air onto to dry your pedicure in a separate area for those who just get the pedicure (not gel). If I lived nearby I would definitely become a regular, but my mother in law is a regular already so whenever I come visit, I'll definitely be coming back for a mani-pedi! read more

They are just the best. Everyone is so nice and accommodating. I have NEVER had a bad experience and I have been here over 30 times.

Very nice, friendly, clean and pretty salon. However, I wonder how many of the nail technicians are licensed. I have been getting dip powder gel manicures at J&V on Bell Blvd for a year. The technician over-filed my nails. Both middle finger nails are now paper thin, and the nail bed is pink, shiny and tender. When I felt the pain I told the technician but she continued using the same electric file grit. I don't think she was licensed. I won't be going back until my nail grows out and isn't tender from her over filing. read more

My first time visiting this nail salon was when they first opened and were running a grand opening promo. Ever since then, J&V has been my go-to nail salon. Everyone is super nice and always does an amazing job. It's super easy to make an appointment. The salon is modern, spacious, and clean. They have a wide variety of colors and designs to choose from, and each technician takes their time and never rushes. They also have free parking. Highly recommend! read more

Update: Came in for a UV gel fill on 12/3/2024. The work is very inconsistent. Let me explain: - I told Winnie (the nail tech) that the UV gel on my right pinky was too thick, she attempted to file it down more and it was still too thick (I tried to explain to her where to file but she just didn't understand)... so for the rest of the nails, some were left thick, some were filed down too much at the tip that my nails actually look UGLY... I walked out of the salon holding back tears. - she cut me twice with the E-file... ON THE SAME FINGER... it is not red and swollen. - she was rushing my set to accommodate another customer that she did not clean up the excess polish left on my fingers. And she put waaayyyy too much polish on some nails that it looks patchy. The work is visibly rushed and messy.. it looks like a 5 year old did it. - even though I hated the work, I still tipped her 10% and as I was walking out I heard her complain to her coworkers about the tip. (I can understand Chinese but they did not know that). Overall, this negative experience was traumatizing and a waste of money. I will not come back here. Pics of work included. read more

So I keep trying to give this place a chance. And the last few times I've walked out so frustrated that as a professional they thought my nails and toenails came out nice. Please see the pictures I attached. I cant even decide what shape my nails are. I literally refilled them as soon as I got into the car to make some sense out of the shape. They came out thick . The nail polish on the pedicure was literally blopped on. I really tired given them another chance but I think that was the last time I will go read more

I've been going to J & V Nail Studio for pedicures since they first opened, and I wouldn't go anywhere else! They offer so many different pedicure options, so there's something for everyone. I went during opening month and had a great experience. I made an apt ahead of time and was seen right away. I loved how clean everything was and the abundance of colors to choose from. However, I decided to go back again today and made an apt ahead of time. I showed up and Jae seated me in the pedicure seat for 30 minutes with the water running. I noticed she took care of those who opted for the pedicure spa package instead of my measly regular pedicure. What is the point of making an appointment? It didn't seem like they cared much when I got up and left. read more

Got my nails done in October and received 40% off because of their grand opening promo. Their November promo is 30% off and I'm def going back! It's not just the price that is good but the way they do my nails. Tony was the one that did my nails. Super friendly and super detailed! He noticed that my nails were too fragile to shave off the old gel so he applied something to soften the gel before removing it. He was so careful with it! He also cleaned my cuticles really well, the prep work was phenomenal! The only downside is they charge $5 if you want a shape that is not square. Place is clean and spacious as well! read more

I've been going to J&V for several months now, and it is always a pleasant experience. The place is exceptionally clean, and the staff is friendly and courteous. I generally get pedicures, and these are always done very well, with a great foot/calf massage. Their spa pedicures are great, and I've also gotten good neck & back massages there. I've had several different women, and I've been pleased with all of them. There are many different polishes to choose from. J&V is my new nail place - I stopped going to my previous nail salon because I prefer J&V. If you haven't tried it, you really should. read more

Unfortunately after trying to be a loyal customer the last two times my appointments were not honored - today being specifically bad. I was told it will be a short wait while I'm watching the technician I'm waiting for only 15 minutes into a detailed powder manicure with another client so it was clearly a lie. 30 minutes later someone else gave me a pedicure and I'm basically seeing the owner and other staff jumping in with various appointments to keep things going but they need a better system in place. I will not be returning. read more

My nail technician (Winnie) was very rough with my nails and did a poor job. I was barely moving and she kept scoffing and sighing at me. My cuticles are in horrible shape and my acrylic tips are all chunky and uneven. The French tip design does not looking great either, it's very uneven and some areas are missing color. When I asked if she can paint my nails a solid color instead because I wasn't happy with the result, she said she would still charge me extra since she did the French already. Overall, I left very unhappy and frustrated and would not recommend. read more

Went during their opening week. The studio is beautiful with tons of powder gel choices. Here is the issue- I went in with my nails shaped as rounded. When being charged, the price was $5 more. I saw on the menu that there was a $5 charge for any shape besides square. I have never experienced this before. Considering the powder gel is $40, I think it's ridiculous to charge an extra $5 considering my nails were already shaped. Will not be returning. ** There was a 40% off promotion for one service during the opening, so the price of $40 was prior to the promotion. read more
