I came here pre and post covid and both experiences have been pleasant. I made an appointment two days in advance and was taken care of immediately upon arrival. I got a gel manicure ($35) and showed them a picture of what design I wanted (+$15) and they were able to replicate it pretty spot on. Everything about the salon seemed clean and there was enough distancing between each client for me to feel fully relaxed while getting my pamper. The appointment took a little bit over an hour and I left with a smile on my face! Will definitely be back for the prompt, friendly service and affordable mani!
This is a long due review . I found this place since it is closer to my home and closes late at 8:00pm. The owner Annie happens to be someone I used to get my nails done from another nail salon . What a small world ! I love Annie and she is always very nice and patient. She's good with nail design so make sure you ask for her. The price for gel manicure is reasonable ($25) . Since the wait sometimes is crazy , I would highly suggest make an appointment before you go .
I had my nails done for my wedding- they're perfectly colored and really cute! I had a gel manicure done and they were able to do the nail art I had suggested online without any questions asked, and even modified it to my liming. I also had a spa pedicure (the Marilyn Monroe) and they recommended a very nice gel nail color to match my skin tone. They do a really good job and their gentle touch definitely makes a difference.
Paid $45 for a spa pedicure but it was a waste of money. Might as well have gotten a cheap pedi on Francis Lewis for $20. Toes were sloppy, not buffed, my skin was standing up on end. Plus the paint was messy. Got a new pedicurist or she was rushing because they were busy. If they were $20 I wouldn't complain but at $45 plus, because I was taught to be a good tipper I left $10... so with tax I paid almost $60 for a messy pedicure. Back to Flushing I go. Plus I'm Korean and I understand all their tonality and nuances of what they are whispering... fake nice. I guess instead of leaving quietly and posting, maybe I should have asked for a redo. Not sure what would have been better.
Ask for Jin, 10/10, ask and you shall receive ! They also give you a punch card! My nails from before lasted me a month and a half and did not budge. They're so hospital too and if you bring cash you get a ten minute free massage the next time you come around !

I had to find a new nail place because mine was getting careless and not doing a good job anymore so of course I went on Yelp to find a new place. I chose this place because of the good reviews and it was open on Monday while other places were closed. So glad other places were closed because I could have missed this place all together and that would have been a tragedy. I've been getting my nails done for 30 yrs and I don't remember ever being this satisfied with my results. The pedicure is so relaxing with the massage and hot stone rubbed all over my legs and feet, just wonderful. This being my first time here I watched all the other women's nails to see who was the best manicurist and everyone's nails looked beautiful so I wasn't uneasy at all about getting the next up tech without choosing her myself. Jin was precise and details and really took her time to understand what I wanted and make sure I received exactly that. My son also came and had a mani pedi and loved the experience so I made an appointment for my husband too. I won't be going anywhere else from now on.
I did gel once at my friends house (she has the blue light and everything) and just hated how long it took for the gel to come off. So today, I walked in for the regular manicure which only sets you back by $8! I used to play the piano (no nail colors allowed) and played a lot of sports so I never really found interest in getting my nails done at a salon. So for first experience... not bad! For me, the highlight was hot stone hand massage + hot towel + lavender essential oil. I didn't think I'd need this in my life but omg I can now see why people get their monthly appointments! So the friend who dragged me to go with today got a gel mani for $25 + $5 for gemstones. She also raved about the hot towel/hot stone/massage!

First they told me to come in at 12:30. Had me waiting for 25 minutes. I said I could go and come another time but they told me to wait. So I did and someone put the foil on my nails. Left me sitting for over 30 minutes. When it started to burn I told the first woman that was doing the scheduling. She heard me and walked in the back and proceeded to take care of someone else. I had to take everything off myself. And I'm still sitting here waiting. I've expressed my anger multiple times and they are doing nothing about it. They just keep passing me off to someone else who is "almost done". I will never return here. And you shouldn't either! But I heard Angel Tips in Whitestone shopping center is great. Took almost three hours to get what I didn't even want. She messed up the nails by filing them after the color powder was already on them. It's hard to see in the pictures but there are rough and sharp edges. And she wanted me to stay longer for her to fix it. In addition because I chose a different color on each nail which is no extra work for them. It's all a powder she wanted to charge me extra! Are you kidding?! First time in my life I walked right out of a place.
Annie did a great job on my new nail! I made appointment in the morning and was told to come in at 11:15 the same day. The design was not identical to what I wanted, but I still love it very much! They also give cute Christmas gift for free! Total came out at $85 not including tip, which is fair for nail extensions with design. I will def be back!

I did not have an appointment but luckily enough, I was seen immediately. They have several selections of spa pedicures, and I decided to go for a milk and honey spa pedicure ($35). The technician who worked on my pedicure, Maria, must have been new because she did not even know what kinds of spa pedicures there were, and had to be guided on what to do every step of the way. She was pretty careless when it came to cutting cuticles, and kept accidentally clipping the skin surrounding my toes. As for my gel manicure, I had Frida as my technician. She was pretty meticulous initially, but then when it got to applying polish, her technique was very disappointing. The top coat was not smooth because she kept painting the nail over and over without reapplying more polish, leaving a permanently brush stroke on the top coat of all my nails. The poor polishing caused one of my nails to chip that same exact day. The following day, another nail chipped..it's only been two days! The only good things about this salon is how sanitary they are. They use disposable items such as nail filer, nail buff, callous remover and pedicure cover. They also have a great gel color selection. I wish they would improve on their mani/pedi techniques. I'm sure there are great nail technicians here, but I did not encounter any of the experienced technicians, which is a shame considering it was my first time here. It left a pretty poor first impression. If I return, I'll be sure to not ask for the two technicians from my first visit.

I've been going here for the past year for my gel manicures and they never disappoint. I moved out of the area a few months ago and still trek back. It's $45 for a gel manicure with design. All the nail technicians are very friendly and accommodating. Their attention to detail and willingness to try to do any design I show them is what keeps me coming back. Everything seems pretty sanitary too. read more

Felt pushed into getting a gel manicure I did not want or intend to get. I went for a regular mani pedi and was pressured into getting a gel mani, which I mentioned I didn't like because of the process and heavy feel. I wondered if the fact that a gel mani is 5x the price of a regular one has anything to do with the push. All would have been okay if the gel turned it nicely, but it did not. It was lumpy and rough, looked a hot mess but I would have even let that go, as the customer, if it had stayed on for longer than one shower. By the next day, all 10 nails were lifting from the cuticles. All in all, this place gets the 1/5 because they are not good at what they do and they are not honest. A bad job is a bad job and it happens, there are ways to make it up, but they let that boat sail. read more

I just got my nails done for my wedding and Annie took such great care in making sure they were perfect! I had told her that shape was the most important thing to me and she and another woman (I sadly didn't get her name) checked and double-checked that the shape looked perfect! Annie suggested adding the little bit of sparkle to my chrome nails and I'm glad she did because they looked even better after she added it! I'm very picky about my nails and Annie truly made them perfect for my special day! read more

I have finally found my "go to" nail salon. In the past I have always been disappointed with the outcome of the services I had received. To the point I stopped getting my nails done altogether. After moving to Bayside, I came upon this cozy nail shop on Yelp after searching for a local salon that offers nail art. After reviewing and comparing a few salons nearby I had decided to make an appointment here. Unlike other shops i had contacted previously, Love Nails sounded extremely pleasant over the phone and was able to have me come in at a later hour after work. I'm so glad I had met Jin and Sarah at my 1st appointment. After showing them a few designs of the style I wanted, they immediately understood and Jin was able apply her talent to my nails. It's been about 3 months since I first got my nails done here and already have been back twice. Their service and professionalism remained the same for my following visits. All the ladies here are so talented. I don't know that whole staff yet, but I always see such good work being performed by everyone. Definitely looking forward to my next visit. read more

I came here with my sister today and we are excited to have found a nice nail salon close by! All of the staff is so friendly and interactive and we immediately felt taken care of. We both got our nails done by Frida. I got a gel marble design and my sister got her ombre done right after. We are both very happy with the results and are looking forward to coming back to try some other cute styles soon! It does get busy so definitely make an appointment beforehand. read more

The staff and quality of the service makes this place the best nail salon I've been to thus far. I can count on this place to always capture my vision of a design I would like to try out and I appreciate their professional input when I do have some reservations of trying new things! All the staff are highly trained and it shows in their craftsmanship! Love them so much! read more

Update: After 1 week, my nails are as good as they were once I left the salon, with a bit of regrowth. I work in a pharmacy so I use my hands ALL the time. For this reason, I'm really happy that my nails have survived a countless amount of bumping into shelves and grabbing baskets as well as endless typing and counting. So far, there are no chips or cracks on my nails and I'm positive that they are going to stay that way for a really long time. Update #2: I got these nails done in mid-August and they lasted for 5 weeks before they started to peel off. I'm super happy to have found this place and will be going back soon! Update #3: I've been here 5 times and this place does not disappoint! Everyone knows what they're doing and for me, my nails lasted at least 2 weeks each time I've visited~ read more

It was my first time coming here today and I loved it! I didn't have an appointment this morning at around 11 am, but they still were able to take me a soon as I walked in. I got a gel manicure and regular pedicure and loved how precise and how much time and effort my nail technician put into my nails. She didn't rush at all and made sure that my nails looked amazing. I asked her for her name but she said that everyone there is good ...so I guess you can switch your nail tech even though I like to stick to one person. This is probably the best manicure and pedicure I've gotten in Bayside and I've lived here my whole life. It is a little bit more pricier than the nail salons on Francis Lewis Boulevard that everyone goes to, but it is definitely in my opinion worth it because you basically get what you pay for. I'm upset that I will be moving to California in a few weeks and just found the most amazing nail salon, but I will definitely come back One more time before I leave! The gel manicure was $25 and the pedicure was $18 plus the lines that I got with an extra $5.. $48$ plus a nice tip for my amazing nail tech! Thank you New love nail! read more

First time coming here and glad I came! Got gel French mani done by Judy. She was super sweet and was very thorough with her work. I didn't feel rushed at all since she took her time with my nails and made sure everything was perfect before I left. I also got an Aloe pedicure (but by another girl, didn't catch her name) overall the aloe pedicure was nice and relaxing but got nipped by the cuticle cutters by the other girl. Over the moon for these nails! Can't wait to come back. If you want great service, ask for Judy!!!!! read more

I got recommended by a friend and I absolutely love this place. The most friendliest most thorough mani/pedi experience I've had this far. Will definitely be coming back when I'm in the area. It was my first time at New Love Nails and it was a wonderful experience! The ladies were all very sweet and recommended colors and designs after I showed them a few photos of what I was looking for. Carol introduced me to a type of gel called "cat eye" which is a glitter that can be used to make 3D patterns using a magnet. The photo does not do it justice. The glitter shimmers differently at different angles! It is so pretty! Highly recommend Carol and New Love Nails! read more

Came here twice in the last 6 weeks. The first time i came i was extremely upset by my usual nail lady who i would drive 35-45 mins to in Jackson heights. The woman is a meticulous artist and works very hard. But the last time i went to her for a mani pedi she had me wait an hour as she finished someone else and then told me she didn't have time for a pedicure, just a mani. Long story short i told her I needed the pedi more than the mani. She rushed thru my pedi and cut me several times from rushing. I left almost in tears and exhausted from a full day or work plus not having eaten i was looking forward to something relaxing. Fast forward to finding NEW LOVE NAIL.... i found this place close to my house. I walked in upset but the girls here quickly took good care of me. I had Jaime give me a GORGEOUS manicure with special color gel that made my natural nails super strong. That mani lasted me over a month and i came back today to another girl named Jin. She did a beautiful SCG with an ombré French design with some silver sparkle. I AM IN LOVE!! My new favorite place!! No more driving an hour and a half round trip to someone who can't be bothered!! Came here because of reviews on yelp and gotta say I am pretty impressed with the quality and service!! Since it was my first time the lady I had (sorry didn't get her name) was super nice and took the time to make sure my nails were prepped nicely. I asked for a simple gold strip across my finger but she went above and beyond and did her own twist, which I ended up loving. The nails are super smooth and there aren't any bubbles or uncovered edges so hopefully these won't lift. I will definitely come here more often now that I know it's so close to where I live. My total came out to be $25 which is the regular gel nail price without designs!! Also got a little hot stone massage on my hands after which was a plus. read more

I have been going to another nail salon in Fresh Meadows for the past year for my dip powder fillings but I was so upset with the wait times and lack of respect and decided to change my usual place. That's where Yelp saved the day and has to check this place out with all the 5 star reviews I called yesterday to make an appointment for my friend and I, and to ask for prices. They were very quick and super friendly on the phone! I brought my friend with me who usually gets her nails done in Boston or another place in Fresh Meadows when she comes back to town. We were greeted right away with smiles and they remembered our names and made it a point to get to know them. I was impressed considering my past salon couldn't care about me even though I was a regular customer - plus my name isn't the easiest. I also noticed every customer that walked in, even without an appointment, was addressed by name and the workers remembered who they were. My friend and I loved that about this place right away. I had the pleasure of being assisted by Sarah, while someone else assisted my friend for her gel manicure. There were so many colors to choose from, unlike other salons in the area. Everything was super clean! They even had a cool looking vacuum thing that catches the dust from the drilling that's done on tips, which makes a mess! My other location didn't have this and it was so dirty. All the tools were clean and fresh! I never felt rushed, which is my pet peeve at salons. I will say that the shaping of my nails was a little rough and irritating but I didn't mind. At one point, the employees were talking in their own language, which of course I didn't mind at all. But it was so nice of Sarah to say "sorry, we are talking about how busy fourth or July weekend will be" without me asking. This was surprising that she felt the need to explain to me what they were talking about, but it was nice! Sometimes customers can feel like the employees are talking about them, but I didn't get that vibe here at all and didn't feel self conscious. At that moment, I really realized how friendly and considerate these women really are! Sarah helped me pick out my color, and even recommended throwing in another color in the mix to create a color scheme for Fourth of July. The shaking of one nail came out a little crooked but again, it didn't bother me and the job still looked great. I asked for a pedicure with a callus removal, and Sarah recommended the sangria spa pedicure ($35) which included a 10 min massage with a hot stone, paraffin treatment, callus removal, and a mud mask on my calves. The pedicure had actual sangria - Sarah even let my friend and I smell it haha. The massage chairs actually worked too, unlike other salons. It was cute that they brought all the pedicure materials in a little tray with a candle. My friend is picky, and could not stop talking about how much she loved her gel manicure! She kept repeating how much she loved it to everyone and myself, and said it's the best one she ever had. We bought our other friend a gift certificate since we loved the gold ribbon fancy packaging when someone else got one. I asked Sarah when is usually the best time to come, and she said between 12-3pm in weekdays. Our appointment was for 3. Around 4:30, it got very busy so I would recommend coming much much earlier. Sarah gave my friend and I a $5 coupon for next time since it was our first time, and a loyalty card. I ended up paying $35 for powder filling with gel color, $5 for a tip replacement, and $35 for the sangria spa pedicure. At my old place, prices were much cheaper, sometimes by half, but the quality of work and friendly atmosphere make this place well worth it. Another amazing job done by Sarah! I made an appointment for 6 but arrived a bit early and they took me right away. It seems most people make appointments, as it does get pretty busy. I started with the aloe spa pedicure; they use fresh aloe plant which feels so nice on the skin, and the paraffin made my heels nice and soft. I also got a regular gel manicure; they have a variety of colors and there's an assortment that say "perfect match," meaning there's the same color in regular polish for your pedicure. I love this feature, because it always irks me if my toes don't match my hands. Sarah saw that my nails were weak, so she suggested a special base coat to harden my nails. The base coat did indeed make my nails a lot stronger! She spent a lot of time on my nails to ensure that every centimeter was coated with polish; the application is flawless! Two of my nails were broken, which Sarah fixed as well; it seems that when anybody wants a nail fix or nail art, she's the one that knows how to do it best. read more

I came in a year ago during the opening. It's sad I didn't return due to timing and tons of mommy and student duties. Today, Annie shaped my nails almond shape and one of the other ladies recommended a color for me. Annie even remembered me from last year as I stayed in shock. I love everything they did. Annie is meticulous with shaping which is very important to me. They were all very kind and the salon was exquisitely clean. This will be my new nail salon. Thanks, Ladies!!! Brought my daughter to get her Mani/Pedi done before prom. She decided to get the marble look and was very pleased with the results. While she was getting serviced, I chose to get the Lavender Spa Pedicure and was blessed with Lucy. Lucy did a GREAT job and literally put me to sleep during the 10 minute chair massage which is included in that spa package. That woman has to have gone through some massage course(s) because she was beyond fantastic. I highly recommend you try out a spa pedicure next time you are getting your feet pampered. How much are regular manicures and pedicures?
Pedicure ranges from $18 express to several spa type ranging from $25-45 not sure of a basic manicure
How much is it for a gel manicure?
$25 but if you want designs, they range from $5-$15.
How much are acrylics here?
They dont do acrylic that is why not on the price menu. They do UV gel instead which I love!
Do they do gel overlay on natural nails? If so how much?
Pretty sure they do. I have not had it done, dont know how much.
How much is regular manicure and pedicure?
