ZERO STARS. The absolute worst nail experience of my life! It's hard to believe that they could let me walk out the door with my nails in this condition after their service and think that this was a good job! The application was terrible and this was for a wedding :((( the experience was rushed and I could tell they had no desire to fix the paint and terrible filing job, etc. YIKES - I will not being going back. Had a great experience here. The owner, Phong, is extremely kind and it was lovely talking to him while getting my nails done. I've rarely had that experience at other nail salons. I got a full set of acrylics with gel polish, they turned out great. I used to drive over the hill to get my nails done because I didn't like any of the places on the coast, so I'm glad to have tried this place out. read more

Horrible job. The photos below are 4 days after I got them done... Shape? I asked for coffin. I paid a total of $120 for my friend and I for crooked nails... and a pedi. I told the guy before he advanced on the job that at least 4/5 nails were crooked and uneven and bumpy, he got kinda mad and pushed my hand away with his hand in the air, like saying don't worry it's okay or like don't complain... I could tell by his face expressions. Also the lady didn't even scrub my feet for a minute everything was rushed. Wasn't worth $120 at all ! So I was in HMB and in dire need of a pedicure. Pulled up my handy dandy yelp app and started calling around for an appointment for me and my friend. Nail Elegant was the only one who could take us - mind you HMB is tiny so there's really only like 3 options. Admittedly, when we first got there we weren't too impressed. It's a tiny space with like 4 chairs and well, looks very cluttered. Even so we decided to give it a try and were so glad we didn't let first impressions dissuade us! The staff and owner are the NICEST people as were the other clients. Turns out this is a locals place and people had nothing but nice things to say. We also got some great dinner recommendations from the locals too. My pedicure turned out awesome and we had a nice time. I would DEF go back next time I am in HMB and highly recommend. read more

This is a really small but professional and exceptional shop owned by the nicest family with equally nice and efficient staff that have been winning best nail salon consistently over the past 10 years! Scheduling is best over the phone and almost always works out for a same day appointment request. Manicures and pedicures along with acrylic tips and gels are great and the owner has a wonderful loyal following including myself! Some small requests...Wish they would get more pink nail polish options, foot towels to rest clean feet on, or flip flops to walk around in, supply pedicure dryers while getting a manicure and maybe wifi would be a great perk! read more

I've grown up in HMB and tried almost all of the nail salons in and around town. This one is by far my favorite when it comes to getting acrylics done. Every time I go, I end up having a man named Phun do my acrylics (can't remember his full name but a friend called him Phun when he came in plus it was one of the names on his certificate). Phun has this way of doing acrylics that ACTUALLY LOOK like your real nail. But, be warned: I think because they're thinner than other acrylics, hard trauma to these nails can make them come off. It sucks. Last year I was working as a busser and chipped off my pinky acrylic only 7 days after I had it done! I went to the only salon open on Monday's once the pain subsided (this place was closed) and the replacement nail looked bulbous and stupid compared to the original set Phun had done for me... I couldn't be more happy with what Phun did for my nails this time. I wanted to get out of my comfort zone and try something edgy. I wasn't ready for a 100% stiletto set, so I showed him pictures of some stiletto and some almond sets and told him I wanted something in between. He shaped them so well and created a perfect amount of "point". I think next time I'll have him do something even more sharp though :) read more

This place looked decent from outside,that's why my friend and I went.. Staff was okay, but the manicure was terrible. It's been 5 days and it is already looking terrible/ chipping. My friend has the same complain about her manicure....Plus the guy cut my cuticle and it was bleeding and then he put some antiseptic and now my finger looks really ugly. He did not know what he was doing... I would not recommend this place. I would give it a zero star if possible. read more

The name of this place is actually 'Nail Elegance', but whatever. I'm a red-blooded hetero male, and I get a mani pedi here every other week and I love this place. The girls are chatty and friendly. After a conversation about pho soup, one of the girls subsequently went out and bought me all the ingredients I needed to make my own! I came here to get a mani pedi and they charged us $30, I thought it was $27? Well whole thing became a $40 service after tips. They did a good job on the painting of my feet, my hands were a little streaky and a small piece chipped off same day :( The people working there were VERY nice good service. I rate alot on massages, um the leg massage was eh. the arms massage, that lady was good! Made appointments for three but they didn't have 3 folks there to provide service. It was the fastest pedicure of my life... 12 minutes.... and probably 7 of that was soaking my feet. I've NEVER felt the need to write a bad review on yelp until this morning when I went to Nail Elegant to get a pedicure. The pedicure was so bad that I walked out without even letting them finish (another first for me today). The man giving me the pedicure cut my toenails so short that I left with an open wound on my toe and jagged toenails because they were too short to file down. I came home and had to disinfect my feet with peroxide because I was worried they would become infected. This was by far the absolute worst pedicure I've ever had. read more

Okay, this is not the fancy, hot wax kind of place...I found the nail technicians very nice and while rather quiet, very friendly and anxious to please. Seriously, it is one of the most long lasting manicures/pedicures I have ever had. I have been twice now and would travel farther to go there. It is a small place - easy to park, not too expensive and FAST!!! It is always crowded and appears to be many local clients from the surrounding beach towns. I would highly recommend Nail Elegant!!! I haven't had a pedi in years but my husbands Xmas party and a new pair of open toe pumps made one necessary. Very small, 3 chair shop, hidden in the back of a mall on Main St. Was in and out in 30 mins, very fast and friendly service. Price was great, $20 for pedi, $3 extra for a design on my big toe. I did have to use a qtip and polish remover when I got home to remove some stray polish around a few of my cuticles but overall for the price this place can't be beat! read more

Went here for a pedicure with my friend, and we had a good time. They were able to seat both of us even though we just walked in, and they had a good selection of colors. This review comes with a heavy heart because I am in the beauty business, I am a hairdresser and salon owner myself and I like the owner. When I first came into the salon about six months ago, I had a full set done. I was pretty happy with the job considering what I paid for it, i had no lifting and they seem to be professional. However the last two appointments that I made in advance for fills, I had to wait 40+ minutes as he took a walk-in right before my appointment time. I know this particularly because he was just gluing on the Tips when I came in for my appointment. I am a regular client, I show up on time, and I tip well. Unfortunately , they just lost a very good client. I hope the walk-in was worth it and turns out to be just as good of a client as I was. I will never go back there Nor well I refer any of my clients to that nail salon. As a fellow small business person, I wish this business well I just wish they would respect people's time as that is also part of professionalism. read more
