    I love Sam! She listened and gave excellent feedback to the shorter hairstyle I wanted to achieve. I'm so glad I found a gem! She's a sweetheart and so is her little puppers! This salon made me feel welcomed even before I stepped foot in it and that says A LOT about a business. I can't wait to go back for my trims and my other hair needs. I'm so glad they are local and I don't have to venture too far. Let's begin with the initial phone call... I was in desperate need of a haircut! My hair was literally going down my spine to my tail! Lol. It was getting everywhere! It was time to say "let's part". However, it's a pandemic out there! We were still shut down and these poor folks, along with me of course, are silently suffering. I had no choice, I had to try to find a way out of this propaganda. So I did it, I called in the hopes that there was life on the other end... ....and there was! A nice young lady answered my call. I spewed out my dilemma and she kindly listened. Whether it was luck or fate, she said there is a wait list for appointments and we would be called when business was allowed to return to normal again. A week later the news broke... stay at home mandates have been lifted. We could carry on with life again!! Woo hoo! They called, I booked and the rest is history. Sam was a pleasure to work with from the moment I stepped inside. She's warm, friendly and listens without being pretentious. I love this establishment. They also welcome fur babies! Be still my heart! The cut was quick, easy and it felt like a treat without a lot of frills. Simple and pleasant. Everything I love. It's hard to find a good stylist you can trust and I think I just found my new go to Yay! Yay! Yay!

    Carla is a life saver! I received a poor balayage at a different salon and was desperate for a fix. I went to Mizu and was greeted so kindly by Sam who took me over to Carla for a consult. Carla squeezed me in after a cancelation and I cannot be more grateful. She did an amazing job, especially considering what she had to work with (attached picture is before and after Carla!). She took every detail about my hair into consideration to provide the best service and retain the health of my hair (as it was just bleached a few days prior). Everyone was so kind and professional. I will definitely be going back!

    Let me start by saying that I've never felt strongly enough to write a Yelp review, but after being left in this hair drying chair for 30 minutes today while "my" hairdresser cut AND styled somebody else's hair, I am livid. Not only am I BACK in this salon because my hairdresser didn't give me what I wanted the first time (AND overcharged me for that-- who knew getting my freakin less than shoulder length bob highlighted could cost $200), but I have stomped my feet to get the attention of any one of the 4 people somehow floating around the cash register to no avail. Before my hairdresser put me in this hair drying prison, she kept repeating (with no prompting from me) the phrase "oh this shouldn't take long at all," so I felt comfortable not mentioning the fact that I had to meet somebody an hour after my appointment. Once I finally got somebody to pay attention to me (15 minutes after my first attempt) I asked to get help from anybody because I really had to go at this point. I would have rather had anybody than my original hairdresser, who at this point was steaming annoyance that she was no longer getting giggles and adoration from her regular customer that she had left me for. I left as quickly as I could only to find that this woman had STRIPED ME. STRIPED, as in freakin platinum blonde thrown in lines over brown hair. I couldn't believe it. I honestly bet this hairdresser (I won't say her name for the sake of her business) must be expecting this bad review with how bad she did. I repeatedly told my boyfriend before I returned to the salon for the correction that I was scared that the lady would revenge color me for not liking her original work and she went right ahead and did that. I cried for so long after getting home-- who wants to feel ugly after getting their hair done? Even with my awful hair that I have to get fixed AGAIN today at another salon and AGAIN pay an obscene amount for, the thing I'm the most angry about is the service of the entire salon. I got to sit for 2 separate visits and watch how differently these people treat their regulars versus the poor souls like me that have the misfortune of finding themselves here looking for a decent hair styling. I barely got talked to while my hairdresser was both gabbing and flirting (ugh) with her other clients. I, on the other hand, got consulted about my coloring as quickly as humanly possible and was promptly ignored after that. As for the second visit-- it may make sense to cut another client's hair while coloring another, but NOT at the expense of my time and my respect. She saw me getting pissed off since she was denying what I told her. I said fine. I will record everything. She got scared when I said that. She brought in the manager, Carlos. She acted like she knew everything infront of us. I told him, she had no idea at all. She was making out I was being a difficult costumer. I told him. She never said that to us. I shut her down and made myself very clear. That lady backed out and stayed away to let him handle it.. He gave us our copies for free. He mentioned their printing system isn't up to date. If we wanted free printing, we have to download the app. When we were making the photos, it said coupon submit and the cashier can adjust it for you at the counter. I gave an extra star for Carlos. I would want to give it a 1 for that lady.

I mentioned that I had received a call yesterday saying my medicine would be ready by the end of the day and that I was hoping to get an update. His response was something along the lines of, "So you're here for a pickup?" in a tone that felt unnecessarily rude. I tried to brush it off and continue, but things only got worse. George told me I had already picked up the medication, which I had not. When I clarified, he said I must be referring to another prescription I'd previously picked up. I explained that this was for a completely different medication, but he insisted they were the same, which they were not. It felt like he either didn't want to listen or didn't care enough to check. Then he repeatedly insisted that I needed to show my physical insurance card, even though I'm a regular customer and my information has always been on file. I eventually drove home to get the card, only to return and be told that I now needed to call my insurance company because my information "didn't match." After calling my insurance company while another pharmacist assisted him, we discovered that George had been entering my health plan ID number into the RX ID field, which was causing the issue. Finally, after all of that, he told me to come back in 30 minutes when my medication would be ready. I understand that mistakes happen, we're all human, but what made this experience so unpleasant was the complete lack of grace, courtesy, or accountability. The entire interaction felt as though I was being blamed for errors that weren't mine, and even after it became clear the mistake was on his end, there was no apology or acknowledgment. Mind you, I was ironically correct to have started the interaction with a request for an update as it turned out my medication what not in fact ready for pickup. This experience left me feeling disrespected and exhausted. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously, as kindness and good communication go a long way, especially in healthcare.
