Walgreens isn't my pharmacy anymore. it was interesting. some bargains. many miscommunications. i.e. whenever i order medicine. system says pick up at such a time. show up. no medicine. computer has no idea what each location has in inventory. not much micro beers here either, snacks not cheap, chocolates too generic, not enough cocoa. brew: merlot wine or riesling (5) -whichever california wine is on sale. -parking's never an issue. read more

I will be changing pharmacies. On the website and on the automated phone service it said that the pharmacy is closed from 1:30pm to 2pm. This is false information! I walked in at 1:00pm and all the staff were walking out and the pharmacy was closed. I thought lunch breaks were 30 mins long with two 15 min breaks? I asked the staff and she said that they are closed from 1pm to 2pm. Now I'm sitting here waiting an hour for my dad's medication. read more

This place is gross! It just is. I placed an order and unfortunately it was sent to this store. I got it. OK. But the exterior! Please show some care. All of the places in the area don't look like this. So the only reason they got two stars is because the person delivered my online order to me. It wasn't complete and my order wasn't corrected, but I was glad to get something that I can't find in stores, so the extra "tax" was worth it. The pharmacy is always temporarily closed because of staffing issues. I can't get my medication when I need it because of that. They say when they are open they close at 6 pm but most of the time they close earlier than that. I may have to switch to CVS. They stay open until 9pm. read more

This Walgreens is located on Laurie and San Pablo in San Pablo California. I am in Chicago. I needed to fill some heart medicine for my daughters dog. My daughter was in the hospital with Covid. The veterinarian pharmacy waited on hold for 30 minutes to place the refill and finally hung up after no one came back to the phone. I called and said I was calling from Chicago and the vet couldn't get through. They could not call the vet or give me a fax number even though they had been unresponsive. Finally when the prescription was filled, there was no notification that it was ready for pick up. read more

Walgreens has officially taken rein as the one and only drug store. The new store is in the up and coming College Center Plaza. The brand new Walgreens opened in August and comes with all its bells and whistles. The store is next door to a new Auto Zone and both stores compliment one another with similar architecture and aesthetics. I was in the area and needed a FastTrak transponder and I remember seeing a sign that Walgreens carries them. As soon as I walked in, a nicely dressed staff member (maybe manager) greeted me and asked how he could help. He said they didn't carry FastTrak but they do have the Clipper Card. A few seconds later, an employee corrected him and I had my transponder in my hands. The process was pretty effortless, but the manager needs to be better aware of specialty products they carry. read more

Be very wary of this pharmacy. They took two days to fill my mother's heart medicine, neglected to call her when it was ready and when we attempted to call, we were on hold for ten minutes. Subsequent phone calls went on unanswered. I had to drive down and demand the prescription be filled. Turns out, the team there admitted they were understaffed because CORPORATE was demanding they keep labor costs down so that their profits and contributions to 401ks would maximize. So this is walgreens commitment to health care. Understaff, delay filling prescriptions, don't communicate as promised so that a patient does not get her heart medicine and begins to relapse. Do not trust this location for prescriptions. None of the staff understand the computer system, and you'll get a different answer to your question depending on who you ask. Their system routinely loses faxs from Drs. I've had to have my doctor refax to them several times. You constantly get emails from them saying they could not fill your prescription because of an error in your insurance, or because you are out of refills. Sometimes you call and they tell you it was a mistake and everything is OK. Sometimes you have to go there in person and one person can't help but another finds the error. They have submitted to the wrong insurance many times, and when you tell them in person eventually they'll find the error - they did something wrong. They run out of medicine that is extremely common and life-threatening to be without and tell you it will be days before the distributor gets it in. My latest situation is that my doctor faxed a refill two months ago, I went and picked it up and have 2 refills left... two days after I picked it up, their system told me that they couldn't refill the Rx I had already picked up! I called to ask what was up, and due to a misplaced fax on their end my DR had faxed a 2nd time... but the 1st was found and put through. So when the second came, it generated that error email. I was told that it was OK, that would be stored in the computer for next time. Now I have two pills left and two refills on the bottle and am told that because the system had FIVE refills in it (presumably because of the duplicate) that the refills are cancelled and I have to get my Dr. to send ANOTHER fax. This is the weekend, I have two pills. Walgreens makes the errors, and ever time they tell you it's YOUR job to fix it. I have a medicine that is only taken as needed, Walgreens somehow put it on auto-refill, which I don't need because it's only taken as needed, doesn't get used up. I have been trying for over TWO YEARS to have them take that prescription off auto-refill - on the phone, in person, and am continually assured they have fixed it... but every month they still auto-refill it. And then some of the pharmacists give you major attitude when you ask for clarification - the pharmacy employees act like you, the customer, are an annoyance they'd rather ignore. Family members have had to call Walgreens Corporate several times to complain about lcommonly-used ife-saving medication being out of stock. Corporate says they defer to the pharmacist at each store and those pharmacists have final say, so calling corporate is pointless. I have lived in many areas and used many pharmacies and have never had issues with any other place. With Walgreens, every single time you have a refill you hold your breath because you know there's an even chance that they'll screw it up yet again and cause you to have to scramble making duplicate phone calls with two or three pills left... and you can't call in a refill if you have more than seven pills. I've literally had to spend two days on the phone several times just to get a refill. DO NOT get your prescriptions here. They are notorious for messing things up. The regular store staff, on the other hand, are great and helpful. So if you want to buy a lawn chair, this pharmacy is OK. If you want a pharmacy, this pharmacy is a bad choice. read more

Okay first off, I use to like this Walgreens a lot years ago cause it was new and the Costumer service was outstanding! But like always all good things have to come to an end and things turned to its worst! It's a good store if your just coming in and out to grab something quick and you don't make contact with Any worker other then the cashier.. But if your like me and you like to shop and actually buy things and need things you can't find, that's when this store tune HORRIBLE! Starting off with the fact that ever time I ask a worker if they have any of something that I'm looking for in stock, they (and when I mean they, I mean all the same people that work there) always tell me straight up no. They don't even try or pretend to even go look in the back or say let me check to see. Or another thing, when I ask a worker I can't find something in the store, they either point over somewhere or they tell me it should be by where these other things are at?.. How am i suppose to know where these other things are at? It I'm not a worker!! And lastly , this happened to me twice last month, it's bad enough this exact Walgreens closes the earliest in my whole area, I have to sometime run real quick where it's most convenient, so I'm they 15 minutes before they close And right as soon as I walk in , the harassing start, and they constant tell me that they are about to close, and in like I think I know that? Point is, the reason for my visit was to place a picture order, so obviously that's gonna take a while but not too long, so as soon as I sit down and I'm trying to rush and place the order and all the workers start telling me it's time to go, when I still have like 10 minutes left!! So I just ignore them, rushing through everything, keeping track of time , and then a security comes and stands next to me and tells me it's time to go and really starts trying to kick me out and then starts putting up these bunch of excuses saying that our registers close automatically at 10 and all this bunch of bull , so I just start giving an attitude back since they have all at his point been rude to me, and at the end I get so fed up, and I just unplug my phone and storm out. 5 minutes before the store closes... Never in my life has this ever happened to me before... And I've been places after hours and they just warn me once it's time to go so I make my way to the front, not harass me he whole time and follow me around? Do your self a favor and just go somewhere less if your are trying to shop for a lot of things. It's a good store if your just in and out, but be aware of the workers there.. Was here earlier tonight. I normally shop at the Walgreens on Church lane but thought I would swing by this one as it is closer to my home. I needed milk. However, they were completely out of whole milk, 2%, & 1% in every single size. Not just the gallon, but no milk in the quart and pint size either. Since I was there, I thought I would buy a tooth brush. Checked the sales paper and picked up a tooth brush which comes with a Register Reward. I pay but no reward prints out. This Walgreens is nice and clean with a friendly staff. There's always some sort of makeup sale so those items go fast ~__~. I like to come here and check out the new nail polishes and what candies they have. Recently, i've picked up a deLISH Dark and Sinful pear and almond dark chocolate and it was delicious, you can really taste the pear! This is a review for John the pharmacist. His polite, positive, and friendly manner sets the tone for the other employees in his area. He pays close attention to whatever he's doing too. You want a pharmacist to focus when he's dealing with medications. If a customer is grumpy John doesn't take it personally. (How very different it is to relate to this pharmacist compared to Paul at the new CVS on telegraph --across from Berkeley Family Practice--please see my review of that scary situation). Walgreens is a good store, but recently I have been having problems with the store. In the weekly ad, it said there was a sale on the headphones and no matter which Walgreens I went to, they all said they ran out. But then, I got a rain-check and when I went to Walgreens again and tried to use the rain-check, they said that the headphones were NEVER on sale (even though I had a rain check to prove they were on sale) and they acted like I was a liar and they refused to give me back my rain-check. Also, there was a sale on the Foster-Grant sunglasses and all of a sudden when I went to the store to buy one, all the sunglasses were gone. Even though there were a ton that WASN'T foster grant sunglasses, those were gone too. Then they said they ran out. To be honest, I think they are just hiding those stuff in the store that are on sale into the stocking room, and telling that it's sold out. That way, they could show ads with stuff on sale to make customers come to the store and buy OTHER stuff when they had just come for the stuff on sale, While the employees hide the stuff on sale into the stocking so that, that way, when the customers are told that the stuff are sold out, the customers would be like "oh, now that we came to the store, let's buy stuff so that we didn't come for NOTHING." They are just attracting customers to the store to buy stuff by saying stuff that are on sale in the weekly ad. This is a misleading. read more
