Lost. The sales lady had no clue about product or how to work register. Bless her heart for trying. I called for a particular product and she said she didn't have it however, the store on the other side of town said that it showed that they did have the product so I came over here and Shernoff. They did have the product on the shelf and then when I asked her about a particular item I was looking for she said no they didn't have it however, I saw it on the shelf when I looked so I know that they had it and then when it came time to work the register she didn't know how to properly put in the tax amount and it kept changing. This GNC has always been my favorite supplement store. If your a local or someone new to the area, the manager/owner of this place gives great advise and will help you with whatever you need or looking for. I used to go to this GNC often and the women were fairly pleasant, and I think shopping in a brick and mortar store helps to keep people employed. But last time I was there, one of the ladies kept stalking me while I was looking at the keto snacks. She kept coming back over and over and over, or she would walk at the end of the aisle and watch me like a hawk. With a tone in her voice she finally said "are you going to buy those?" And I did actually buy them because the price was right, but I was so put off by her following me all over the store. She would deny it, but I know a microaggression when I experience it. Anyways, I haven't been back and I won't be back. I just guy everything on Amazon, which is much easier, especially with free shipping. I like supporting brick and mortar businesses, but this is exactly why Amazon is winning. read more

Absolutely HATE, HATE HATE going to this location. The woman name Sherry, is the most unhelpful, lazy, unpleasant, condescending, purposely takes long to ring me up, never ever greet me when I come in, she has absolutely no personality for customer service! Her behavior appears like she hates her job, seems unhappy..... In my opinion, she appears racist to me every time I shop there!!! I don't know if she hates people that look Persian or Hispanic or Indian, but she would never help or even greet me! I really can't be spending my money for this kind of horrible service from this location! When I can, I drive over the bridge, pay the toll to shop at the GNC there. Better service In Vallejo! One time, I opened the Refrigerator that keeps the Preworkout drinks cold and was taking out the ones I wanted to purchase, I grabbed one and it was opened and I was puzzled and told her this one was opened, ..... she said it's hers. UGH! My hand had touched the top of it! I was so upset! She didn't even apologize or give me something to wipe my hand. So gross! Clearly she wasn't following the Covid Requirements and had her opened drink together with drinks that is for customers to purchase! UGH! Disgusting! GNC needs to train their workers on customer service, because this gal has NONE!! Vitamins. Yay! I like this GNC location. The store was very clean, the two female workers were friendly and very patient with me, and it's super close to Target. Yesss!! What more do you need? I came in for vitamins & ended up purchasing a 7-day Detox pack and their GNC Total Lean shake (Vanilla Bean). It's so great that they have their Buy One Get One 50% Off deal. As I peruse the aisles and write this review, the cashier still hasn't acknowledged my existence. All these healthy things I'm putting into my body must have the added power of invisibility...yesss, bonus!! Granted, she's helping someone but we did share a moment of eye contact when the cow bell rang as I walked in the door. Other than my annoyance of the cashier not noticing me and my bright pink dri-fit shirt, the store isn't too bad. It has all that you need from a nutrition store. I would have loved to talk about great customer service but I really didn't get any. I only got a "hello"when I was ready to make my purchase. Luckily for this store, I needed some things right away, otherwise I would've taken my business elsewhere. The lady working was hella rude! I walked in at 8pm and the whole time she was rushing me. I apologized because apparently I was a problem for her and she said, "yes I'm trying to get out of here on time, that's why." Terrible customer service and I left at 820pm. This store is clean and updated. Even thought it's small it's well organized. Massage chair sampling available. Free samples of calcium caramels at the register. Attentive staff. A word to the wise... if you buy niacin from here or anywhere heed the "flush" warnings... hot damn I swear I thought I had been bitten by fire ants!!!!! read more

This place is a small hole in the wall GNC. I went in and the place was a mess. I don't know if they had just gotten a delivery, but there were vitamin and protein powders all over the floor. The cashier at the time was really rude when I asked him about their womens vitamins. He said he had to look for them, as they were not on the shelf. He got angry and because I said I was willing to wait for him to look in the back. Apparently he did not want to go back there. Instead I ended up buying some protein bars, but lo and behold they were EXPIRED when I got home. I went the next day and talked to the manager, a middle aged Filipina. She was very curt and said I did not buy them there even though the same cashier was standing right there and KNEW I was there. Do not shop here as you will be sorely disappointed. I never even got a refund or credit for the bars. This place sucks. read more

Offering a great selection of health options.

I usually buy what i need there before. I was so at ease for a couple of months. I thought they are all nice and friendly until one day, I went there to return something I didn't open and another one that I would like to exchange for another flavor. Cheryl, the cashier's name started to be unkind and unfriendly. She told me that her "computer" cannot do returns. What ?!?! ...she is also a liar! The moment she started being B!+(hY, I told myself that I won't go back there anymore. So, no returns was done but for the other one she allowed me to have an exchange of flavor. I didn't even smile at her nor say thank you because she is so rude. She marked my old receipt that I exchanged flavors but I saw in the new receipt she gave for an exchange that I don't have a receipt. ( But she just marked my old receipt ) To cut the long story, Cheryl is just nice to customers who will be buying something. She is just friendly for a potential upsell. She just likes to sell and sell but be rude if you will be returning something. I'd rather go to GNC Hilltop Mall. The Lady named Brenda there is so Nice to me even though I will just return something I bought online. If ever I can't go to Hilltop, I will never enter GNC Pinole if Cheryl is the Cashier on duty. Great place to buy essential oils and must haves like apple cider vinegar, coconut oil and thayers skin toner. They also carry hard to find items like African black soap (not organic unfortunately). I love how close this is to the nearby Target, another shop I frequently shop at. I signed up for their Gold Membership ($20 for 2 years) since their member prices are great (better than Amazon on most items). There's one worker here who is really nice and helpful. Her name is Rachel and she helped me find a good toner for my face and vitamin supplement for hair growth (biotin). She didn't try to push me to buy more products unlike this other lady who works here whose name I can't remember. This lady was trying to get me to buy some vitamin pack and I had to tell her more than once that I wasn't interested. She's the only reason why I'm not giving this place 5 stars. But I would definitely recommend this place because of its convenient location and selection of products (only thing they're missing is more variety of Dr. Bronner's soap). read more
