I've never experienced such care and personal attention from a pharmacist as I have with Dr. Metu. We met one Saturday during the Farmers' Market and I had my Special Needs sister with me whom he has since then referred to as "My Friend". He's accessible for discussions regarding changes in her medications and dosages. I've run into him in the neighborhood several times and tell him I feel like we're a part of Mayberry RFD (or Cheers!) as we smile and wave and "everyone knows your name" ! :D I wish there were more businesses like Capital City! The service is amazing! While traveling to visit my grandkids, I suddenly lost my sense of taste. I felt perfectly fine, but I decided I better test for Covid. I was passing through Vallejo and Capital City pharmacy was closest. Once inside ( you need to ring the bell) I loved the atmosphere; homey and safe. I transferred all my medications to this Pharmacy and they're never filled on time. Either I'll go in and have to wait or I'll have to call prior to picking them up and then they'll say oh we'll have them ready in an hour or so, or we have to order it won't be here till tomorrow on medications that was ordered a date prior to me calling that I actually needed that day, but did not order until I called in a day later to see was it filled. read more

Just moved all my prescriptions over from cvs and Safeway to this pharmacy and I could not be happier. A small town feel and very personalized service. The staff is super nice and the pharmacist is such a knowledgeable and fun guy! Parking can be a pain because it is down town but I'll deal with that for top notch service. I hate to rate a small business with anything less than 5 stars but their wait times are seriously long! This is my second time coming here to pick up a prescription. I received a call saying that it was ready for pick up. Both times I came here it was and hour wait. The first time the card system was having errors. The second time they were saying there was a problem with my insurance. They sorted it out but it took forever. I will not be back unfortunately. read more

Patience, the pharmacy tech who administered my shot was very calming and reassuring when I told her I have a fear of needles. This seems like a great neighborhood pharmacy. Love my neighborhood Capital City Pharmacy! I always make it a point to come in here and by my eucerin lotion and allergy medications and anything else I might need... Why pay all those exorbitant prices at CVS, WG, and RA??? Why not keep it local? Mr Arthur brought this business here to help our community and I see him all the time going to cars and opening doors for folks who have walkers so he can open the door for them and make sure they get into the space all right. I hear him ask people all the time "how is your mom doing"... "how is your grandfather doing"... He knows everyone by name! Who does that anymore? Mr. Arthur and his staff, that's who. Just got all my Father's day and graduation greeting cards there. Think about giving this family-owned business your business. It's fun to come downtown... there's plenty of parking, good food and wonderful community. But unfortunately now that some of the big art galleries are gone the foot traffic is almost 0. Please, change your prescriptions now to Capital City Pharmacy. No more Walgreens or CVS waiting in line, no more being one of the herd. This new pharmacist in Vallejo talks to me like he cares about me personally! He has told me things about the medications I take that I have never heard before. When I went in, his assistant was very helpful and was able to transfer all my meds over to his office with ease. When I have problems getting my doctors to answer the phone for refills, he helps me, and gets things done. When I left my glasses on the counter, he CALLED me! Can you believe it? And the best part: everything costs less than I was paying at Walgreens: my prescriptions are less, my over the counter drugs are less, everything is less. I had a prescription discount plan at Walgreens, and I still get charged less by Capital City. This is because this is a small, old fashioned pharmacy instead of a huge chain with distributor costs, etc. OH, and a lot of the OTC products are old fashioned remedies like Epsom Salts, which work better, are less toxic, and cost less than highly marketed garbage with unnecessary packaging and additives. Also, you can have your prescriptions delivered. If I lived within 30 miles of this pharmacy, I would change. Luckily, I live in beautiful downtown Vallejo, so it was even easier for me to change. If you don't live here, it is worth it. Our new downtown is quite beautiful, especially on Saturday mornings during our year long Farmers' Market. read more

My insurance company is sending me messages encouraging me to switch to home delivery for prescriptions for "the convenience" and there's no way that will ever happen. I love Capital City Pharmacy. They are unfailingly responsive, professional, and kind. They make you feel like your prescription, and your health, is just as important to them as it is to you. There is nothing more "convenient" than that. (I switched to Capital City after Rite Aid sold me an almost-expired asthma inhaler with no propellant and the worker told me there were no returns and I would just have to buy a new one.) read more

Going to this pharmacy feels like a trip back in time to when your neighborhood pharmacist was personable, friendly, and completely dedicated to his work. The owners care deeply about helping their community through providing the best possible service at their business. Although the place is small and fairly new, whenever I have not found what I needed here, Arthur the pharmacist has ordered it for me, and it arrived the next day! I even got a phone call to say that it was waiting for me! We now bring some of our Kaiser prescriptions here as well (on paper), because the over-the-counter price here turns out to be lower than our co-pay at Kaiser (go figure). It is also very gratifying to have a pharmacy right downtown. Stopping in here on Farmer's Market days is handy, and on other days there is often parking right in front or on the same block. read more

He also filled my prescription right then and there (I don't think he was too busy).
