Came to pick up meds on Sunday. Had 3 alerts this am to pick up Meds. Arrived just before 2p. Drive thru posted closed, back from lunch 2:20p . Went inside, posted closed back from lunch 2:20. I had figured lunch 12-1, 1-2. Nope. Don't want to take away anyone's lunch, but come on! Post when closed for lunch so we don't waste our time driving out here. So I moved everything to Safeway. Walgreens was always late getting me my Nurtec ODT for my migraines. I'd order a week in advance and they'd still not get it on time telling me they didn't get it in their order even though they ordered it. So that's total and utter bullshit. I went to Safeway and asked when they could get it for me and they said they could have it the next day. And guess what! They did! I literally ordered it on a Monday (I'd taken my last dose on Sunday and I take it every other day) and they got it to me the next day, Tuesday, just in time. So what do I think is actually happening at Walgreens? I think they're not doing their job and actually ordering shit when they say they are. I think they lie to their customers. I think they have extremely long lines to wait in because they don't care about their customers' time. I will never go there again. Fuck that place so hard. The amount of times I missed doses of my Nurtec and ended up with full blown migraines over the last 6 months? Fuck them. read more

It's unfortunate that the manager at this location isn't friendly toward customers. With Walgreens locations closing all around, you'd hope the customer service here would stand out in a positive way -- but that hasn't been my experience. I never come to walgreens to pick up prescriptions but the one time i did for an urgent issue, The pharmacist was very rude to me and was very unwilling to help me as she sends me to the next pharmacist to get help. I was unable to get her name but she was a middle aged lady with a swollen eye and She tried to charge me $70 COPAY for a medication that my insurance covers for only a $10 co pay. and everytime i asked why she said " im not sure your insurance says you need to pay full" so i got my medication transferred to the nearest CVS and as luck would have it my Co pay was $10! Almost paid out of pocket $70 because a woman at the Walgreens on American Canyon road couldn't do her job correctly!m. watch your pockets at this pharmacy and be wary of rude "pharmacists". read more

Staff named Mei/Mai is rude/disrespectful to me. I called for my mom's Rx refill, 2 times, and 2 times she hang up on me and did not let me finished what I was about to say. I know she might be busy or going through something, but she still need to treat her customer properly with respect. I've been getting my parents meds for more than a decade from this branch but now I think it's time to let go. I am a nurse, and I don't talk to my patient of family members this way. read more

The drive thru is horrible. Today I've arrived and there was 3 cars in front of me. I waited for 35 minutes in my car and we did not move at all. When I exited my vehicle and approached on foot the window, the driver of the car st the window was on his phone (probably been there for hours) and pharmacy staff was picking his nose and talking to each other. 12:30 pm. Great location and well stocked store. But the customer service over the phone needs attention fast. Lacking great service especially over the phone forces customer to switch to another pharmacy. I've called a half dozen times and it's hit and miss getting a person to talk to. I called the store on August 21st, the phone recording sends me to hold as no one would answer for the call. Several minutes later the employee answered and super quickly said, " please hold" and put me back on hold. This went on 2-3 more times with the same procedure. A super quick "Please hold" and I was back on hold. This went on for a total hold time of 20 minutes with absolutely no help. I'd go in but I live a long ways from the store. The employees should not pick up a call on hold and put it back on hold many times with no service. Either you need more people to answer phones or create a platform to get a call back or leave a recording. So after talking to the pharmacist that picked up this call I asked her for the manager to explain my frustration. She or he wasn't available but she said she should call me within an hour. 4:00pm no call. So I called and talked to possibly a manager and I tried to explain to him my complaint along about the phones and a minute into it the line went dead. Not sure what happened but I've given up on this pharmacy as far as expecting service. I think pharmacy mail order may be the way to go since I never got any humans help with my calls. read more

The other people stares at you through the window even when they see 8-10 lined up in the store and yet, they won't help the poor woman working the cashier and drive through window! Do not go here for invitations or photos. I ordered some invites and they had huge lines going through them. Lines that should have been noticed before selling them to me. I'm glad I checked before I left the store. Their machines are really old, even the girl helping me said so, and the customer service is horrible, especially the manager. I have been a long time customer of the pharmacy of this Walgreens in American Canyon. I booked again this year to get my flu shot and the same person male clerk was in the counter to assist me. He again made me wait for 15 min although my appt was at 1pm after two attempts of asking him if they were ready he snapped at me and said I shd just wait the papers are still being processed?? Tuesday March 24 we went here because this was the only location that had what i needed so i drove all the way here to purchase it.. I was able to get what i needed and as i was in line, this 2nd cash register opened all of a sudden when i was in line on the FIRST reg..he was on the left side and the open reg was on the right... He caught my attention that he was open so i immediatelt went there but he was such rude unpleasant front line cashier.. Look, if you dont wanna serve customers just be a driver or work at the back where you dont need to face people.. Rudeness at this time is not necessary.. I am young and i wonder how you treat old people!!!! change that attitude of yours, you dont deserve to work at a health related stores... I came to pick up my items through store pickup/curbside. My first time doing this as an item I had purchased elsewhere was out of stock I found here. Directions were to go to the photo counter to pick up order. I proceed to do so as I wait and see the manager, the cashier and a fedex delivery guy taking care of a matter. I notice the manager pickup a bag which I assume is my order. I wait and finally the lady says I'll take care of it. Whoever she is her tone was well off rude. I did not care for it as her manager (or whoever his role is) says her order is right there. Then her tone changes as she looked and scans it. Have a bit of a better attitude just because things weren't going right with whatever you guys were doing back there. Thank you to the other guy who noticed I was waiting and had it ready before she decided to step in. Never do I really write reviews but this just didn't sit well with me in regards to the lady. I will come back if I have no other choice. Normally service and attitude have been great but as of today... yeah we will see. Have a great day. read more

I preface this review by saying that I frequent this location as I live in the Vintage Ranch neighborhood and have never encountered anything but friendly service from every cashier I've been assisted by over the years. That is of-course with the exception of today's visit and the racist encounter I just experienced. I came here when traffic seemed to be relatively slow and it took less than 2 minutes to grab the items I needed before heading to the counter. The cashier was helping another Walgreens associate at the register when I realized I forgot to pick up an item in the beauty section. I quickly ran to get it, came back to the register and proceeded to get rang up. After I closed the transaction and all my items were bagged, the manager, Janine walks up and asks if I want her to put back my nail items. Genuinely confused, I politely asked "excuse me?" to which she repeated, "do you want me to put those away?" I asked "put what away?" as I scanned the counter to make sure there wasn't anything the cashier forgot to ring up. She persisted "I can put those away if you don't want to buy them." Totally unnerved by the ordeal, the cashier simply turns and says to her "I've already bagged them" as he hands me my receipt. Then she made some comment about go-backs and staying on top of them as I walked towards the door, shaking my head. It hadn't registered completely that I was being accused of stealing until I got to my car. The cashier who rang me up came out of the store to bring a bottle of water I'd left behind and to apologize for his manager. I'd leave another .5 star if I could, only because I really appreciated the sincerity of the cashier's apology. From his tone, I suspect that this is something that occurs pretty frequently. As I replay the 5 minute scenario in my head, I can't pinpoint a single thing that I did that would make her feel that I stole something that cost less than $10. As I mentioned before, all my items were already paid for and bagged before she made her way to the register, assuming that I didn't pay for the higher priced items (and by high, I mean a literal $8.99). I'm pretty sure that being a young black woman carrying a large Book Tote handbag was all that was needed to look suspicious to her. It's unfortunate; I come here, willingly paying a premium for things I can get much cheaper nearby, merely because of the convenience that this store provides. I'm not a Walmart fan but I'd rather stand in those long lines than be racially profiled and accused of shoplifting. Walgreens, Janine definitely just lost your company a customer. read more

2 hours before walking into the store, I ordered 100 pictures. When I arrived at the store, I was not welcomed by any of the workers there. I told the workers that I was ready to pick up the photos that I purchased and they didn't even start printing them yet! I ended up waiting an extra 2 hours for the photos. The worker there told me "sorry, we were really busy" but when I arrived at the store there were only like 5 other customers there! Despite the poor customer service, the place seemed filthy. The lighting was dull and the floor was dusty. I think I even saw a mouse scurry behind the garbage can! Overall, I wouldn't recommend this Walgreens to anyone. My daughter check online for some batters for my blood sugar meter 2032 is the type I needed. We go to that store. We looked all over the store, couldn't find any. Go over to the Photo section ask a young lady, she didn't have the time or day to help us. This Walgreen's is enormous, plus it has more variety than the Napa one. They have exotic snacks like dried shrimp&mango, not the typical ones. In terms of food&seasonal products, they had much more variety than expected. On the other hand, when it came to skin care products, it was a bit of a disappointment. Even the 24 hour CVS/Rite Aid has better selection. It's not as if the shelves had been picked clean, but they didn't offer that much choice. Checkout was slightly more complicated, since they seemed slightly over- and under-staffed, simultaneously. It's an OK place. The air conditioning was pleasant. Not that bad, not that great. read more

The pharmacy at this location has the worst customer service. The pharmacist is rude. I signed up for vaccine appointments for my son and I and left work early to get there on time. The windows were closed. I waved my vaccine card to show them I had an appointment. The pharmacist came out and I told her we have 7 & 7:15 appointments. She rudely said "We are closed" and "We made calls so we can't help you right now." I didn't get a call. No heads up nothing. She also was the same pharmacist who denied a booster vaccine to my man and was so horrible to him. It was embarrassing for him. It's really important for health care workers to have some humanity. I say this as a healthcare worker myself. I believe her name is Cathy. She epitomizes that mean Filipino Tita/Auntie vibe (IYKYK). She really needs her attitude checked. It's probably best that I didn't get vaccinated by her anyway. I will never go to this pharmacy again and advise people to change their pharmacies to Safeway down the street or to another one in Vallejo. read more

1st bad experience: Our veterinarian faxed a perscription for our cat. We call and Walgreens adamantly denies receiving it. Call the veterinarian and get upset at them. They reassure me it was sent days ago. Suddenly not one minute later, I'm getting a automated msg saying it's ready for pickup. Really? Clearly it was misplaced by Walgreens and whomever I spoke with didn't even look for it until after our conversation! 2nd bad experience: My doctor electronically sent a perscription to Walgreens for me. After receiving several automated phone calls letting me know it would be delayed, I called for a status. Was informed that they ran the perscription thru my insurance and it was not covered and that it would cost $300+ and that my doctor should have given me the pharmacuetical coupon. After much discussion and double checking that they were certain about this, I call my insurance. Turns out, Walgreens had not even attempted to run the perscription and it would only be a $50 co-pay. I call back very irritated and they now deny everything. So clearly they are not great on customer service all the time, especially if its a new medicine. On the plus side is that they offer a drive thru and they are pretty good at getting our regular perscriptions filled and done correctly. They are the only pharmacy in town besides Walmart so options are limited. I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt but it's definitely 3 strikes and they are out, so one more chance. Hoping they can improve and I won't need to switch to another pharmacy that's less convenient . read more

Check your prescriptions!!! A couple of weeks ago I picked up a refill of a new prescription. (Prescription I have been taking for years just needed a new prescription as it was a year old.) Luckily before I took any, I happened to look at the bottle. It was the correct medication but the wrong dosage. I would have had to have taken 8 pills to equal the correct dosage. I checked with the doctor and she had written the correct prescription. I called Walgreens and explained it to them and they checked. They told me to bring back the wrong one and they would give me the right one. They had dispensed the wrong dosage. read more

Needed a few items on vacation, and this Walgreens had everything. Even a good selection of ice cold beer! We found a few souvenir items, all the misc snacks and drinks we needed and Maui brewing company beer to boot!! Easy to find, tons of free parking and no long lines. read more

This location shows up as a FedEx drop off location but it's not really. There's a tiny FedEx sign near the back and the employees act confused when you try to drop something off to be mailed. Really terrible, slow, unhelpful employees. Just go somewhere else if you need to mail something through FedEx. read more
