Typically, when I come to this CVS, I have a pretty good experience. I know there can be a lot going on at this particular location, but personally, I've never really had any major issues here. This time, I stopped by to pick up a few things and also get some photos printed. Everything was pretty quick and easy. The line wasn't long, and the employee helping me provided good customer service. She even helped me use the computer inside the store to get my photos developed, which I really appreciated. I believe this is the only CVS in Vallejo, so it's definitely a convenient location for me. Thankfully, most of my experiences here have been positive. Whether I'm picking up a few things or getting photos printed, I'm usually able to get what I need without any problems. Overall, another good experience, and I'll continue coming back whenever I need something from CVS. read more

This CVS in Vallejo is possibly the scariest one I've been in. The huge shopping plaza areas around CVS look ok. The parking lot is good. While I understand the need for stores to keep certain items under lock and key, entering this store I was freaked out by almost every aisle under plastic locked security doors. Instead of feeling safer, it made me feel like I was going to get robbed walking the aisles. You need to find a CVS clerk to basically be your personal shopper. Good luck. This is not conducive for honest shoppers. It's not a wonder online has become preferable. I left without even finding for what I came to buy. read more

Recently the CVS Pharmacy we have used closed. All accounts were transferred to this location on Admiral Callaghan. My first experience with them was absolutely horrible. After a routine doctors appointment my medication's were sent to this pharmacy. Keep in mind, these are medications I must take daily. One day prior to refill. I called to confirm the medication is in stock and was assured that I could be picked up the following day. The following day, I called again because I did not get a text message like I typically do when meds are ready for pick up. I was informed they had no record of refill from my doctor. I called the doctor and let them know and the prescription was resent. It's now Friday morning and I'm wondering when I will be able to pick up my meds. I call again and leave a voice message. A clerk calls me back to tell me my meds cannot be filled because the doctor is not registered or licensed. I promptly call and wait to speak with a pharmacist and explain ~ "this can't be the case". They resend a request for a new prescription. I called the doctor's office and it looks like everything's going to be cleared up. We are three hours from CVS closing and I'm trying to follow up... "When I can pick up the meds?" I call again and speak to a clerk. I am told they are out of stock. I can't even believe this is happening. We're going into a weekend and I have to wait till Monday??? This is not possible. They tell me they will transfer the prescription to another pharmacy in another city. I call the pharmacist of that CVS location and they tell me the system will not allow the transfer. Fast forward to Monday. It's 6:40 PM... I'm finally picking up my prescription ~ now 4 days late & they close at 7PM.. Ironically, the lady in front of me was picking up depression, meds, and the same thing happened to her AT THE PICK-UP COUNTER! They told her they did not have time to run payment through insurance so she would have to come back the following day. Lastly, there were 9 people still in line that were told to come back the following day because, " WE ARE NOW CLOSING" Something is seriously wrong with this pharmacy. Aside from pharmacist Kaley, the front staff was uncommonly RUDE. I will TRANSFER my meds to another pharmacy ~ NOT CVS BRAND! WHAT CAN CVS DO BETTER? Corporate should look into AI for medication fulfillment. I'm not one for technology to override employment of humans, but obviously CVS is struggling and doesn't have the ability to hire sufficient and trained staff. Bring in good pharmacist for QC and let AI do the rest. When possible, run deliveries through the mail. read more

Everything is locked up including the toilet paper and travel sized products. I pressed the button 3 times for assistance and no one came so I left. The pharmacy hours are not the same as the store hours. Monday through Friday: 9 AM to 7 PM. Saturday: 10 AM to 6 PM Sunday: 11 AM to 5 PM. Well finally! I managed to link my Extracare account with my main CVS account! CVS without the extra care program is nearly useless. You get some coupons every time you fill your prescription, but that is a very limited reward program. However, once you link it to extra care, CVS becomes much more interesting. All the extra care sales come to play and you get a coupon which stacks on top of the sale. As far as I can tell all the prices in the store have been adjusted for the dollar coupon you receive every time at the pharmacy. Which makes every item in the store more expensive than their rivals. But once you add the coupon to whatever extra care specials are available, the prices become much more attractive. However, their inventory is still pretty limited compared to a big box store. It seems to me that your best bet is the coupon play. Generally, this means you're picking off a few items where the coupons, the loyalty program, and the specials all stack. I noticed the specials sell out quickly. so the specials are even more limited than you can imagine. Well, with the reward program, they've enticed me into buying one item per trip. If it sounds like I'm not enthused, you're right. At the present time I feel no need to go to CVS unless I have a prescription I wanna pick up. Pharmacy hours are not the same as the store hours. The pharmacy is still a five star experience. The store has risen from a zero star experience all the way to a two star experience. read more

I went to this stupid place I purchased baby oil for my kid by the time I got home and we opened up baby oil. It was no seals. It was open, so I decided to return it. I don't want to take a chance, so the next day I went to return the baby oil. I told the lady about the purchase yesterday. It was no seal; she said, "Show me," and I opened it for her. There is no seal. She said, "Oh no, it comes like this." I said, "Well, prove it to me; show me." She said, "No, I don't have to show you; she said, 'Show me the receipt.'" I said, "I paid cash, and I don't have the receipt, but you can feel free to look on the camera. " And I told her you are the same person you sold me the baby ail yesterday, so her manager showed up with his name, George. He said, "Go ahead and return it for him." She told him no, and I don't know what kind of power she has to tell her manager no, then I told him it's ok "You can have it." I didn't need the money back then; the manager, George. Nothing against him. I like this guy; he's nice, and he was professional. He was doing the right things. And he said to me, "Don't worry about it; get it done for you." he was going to refund complete amount then she give him the ugly look, then He refunded only four dollars; the cashier I believe, her same Dorothy. She told him, "No, don't do it." He said, "OK, I'm going to do it for him," and she gave him another bad she acting like she owned the place. I don't know what kind of relationship they have, but I never see a cashier telling her boss what to do, especially if his doing the right things. I came into this CVS today because an item I needed showed as available at this exact location online. When I arrived, I checked the aisles carefully first, but couldn't find it. I then asked the cashier (her name was Pie) if they might have it behind the counter (which is typically where they keep it). She immediately said no. I explained that the website showed it as available, but she still didn't offer to check further. I left to my car, but it bothered me that she didn't even attempt to check the back. I went back in and asked again. This time involving the store manager. The manager explained that it's not always accurate and just because something shows "in stock" online doesn't necessarily mean they actually have it in the store. This was very disappointing. The least they could have done was check their inventory system or the stockroom instead of giving me a quick "no" based only on what was visible on the shelves. Photo ordering specifically- CVS headquarters needs to fix their system so the local store has to confirm that they've finished the photo product before sending the customer an email saying the product is ready for pickup! This is the second time I have ordered a photo product online, and received a confirmation saying "Order ready for pickup" so I went to the store for pickup and my order was not ready. I've had to make a second trip to get it each time. Now this time they didn't have the item that it was supposed to be printed on, so my second trip was pointless as well! It defeats the purpose of same-day. I actually haven't had this problem at other CVS photo pickup locations so I'm not sure why this store in particular can't keep things in order, but don't order your photo products here if you can avoid it. read more

Although the CVS nearer to me is newer, this store is about the same as all the other CVSs in the area. Parking is easy, the store is clean, and it seems well-stocked. I wanted the latest COVID vaccine and this store had appointments available. The pharmacist who administered the shot was friendly. The staff is incredibly irresponsible. I went to the pharmacy to order my pain medication and pick up some other prescriptions. I was told the pain meds would be ready by November 24th. However, when I called today to confirm the pickup, I was informed that they are still not ready. I'm out of my pain medication, and the only response I got from the pharmacist was to go elsewhere to get my meds because they don't have them. This is very unprofessional, and they really need to reconsider their staff. read more

It's a bummer that CVS has gone bankrupt, but honestly I'm not surprised since it's been extremely clear to me that their operations have been on a downward slope for at least the last 6 years. Nonetheless, CVS is what I've known so I continue to get my medication filled there. Multiple locations that I've frequented in the last couple years have cut store hours heavily which is extremely inconvenient for those of us that work until 5PM during the week. This was my first time at this location since I just moved and they told me their hours are getting cut too. Ugh. Since the bar for CVS is low considering what I mentioned above, the 3/5 stars is solely based on my experience today. My biggest issue was that the manager took out the register before they even closed, and they literally CLOSED their windows with me standing at the pick up counter. I'll also add that I had literally spoken to them on the phone 10 minutes prior (while in my car on the way) since they were having a hard time figuring out how to transfer my prescription from another location. On that call I told them I'd arrive in 10 minutes. So knowing that someone's coming, WHY WOULD YOU CLOSE UP EARLY? Thank god I don't have a copay since it was the only reason I got them to give me my medication. So to the manager at the pharmacy... what are you doing?!!! You're the MANAGER for Christs sake. Dropped in to "quickly" grab a couple energy drinks for my drive home. Found the store to be clean but the shelves in the refrigerated section were in disarray (to be fair, it's New Years Day, so they probably got raided the night before). My real issue is I got in what I thought was the line (in plain view of the cashier) and stood there while she helped another customer. I don't know what the issue was, maybe a problem with a return or something, but it was taking forever. In the meantime, another employee came up front, saw me standing there, and instead of checking me out real quick, just left. Then, I was told I wasn't in the correct line (would've been good to know 10 minutes prior) and at that point the customer she was helping was nice enough to let me check out. Got an e-mail saying it was complete and ready for pick up. Oh geez, looks like CVS Vallejo was hit by a theft gang. The shelves were empty and the employees seemed traumatized. These are nice folks. When I entered all I saw were looming 8in. X 10ft. Irrigation poles attached to the shopping carts. A manager said the poles were placed to prevent people from running, out of the store with the carts. Another novel CVS experience. Did the manager consider an absent minded customer ramming into the exit and actually causing injury? I get the theft prevention, but this invention is reactionary. Pass a photo by a personal injury lawyer and it is likely the person will tell you this is a liability. Not to mention..awareness about persons with disabilities who need to use a cart to ferry purchases to their vehicle. At least post a sign inviting Pw/Ds to ask for your help. I'm confused by the bad reviews, I actively seek out this pharmacy because the people here are so nice, the space is big and is clean. I always get my prescriptions sent here. The pharmacist (don't know her name but she has blonde hair and wears glasses!) is always nice and explains things to me if I ask. The pharm tech is so sweet too! The pharmacy holds your prescription for awhile too which is so nice and sends you texts. I have picked up lotions, creams and beauty products here. It is always organized well. read more

I go here for my prescriptions, and occasionally some schlock, but I'm not sure why. Most of the employees are friendly but they seem bored. The shelves are full...y disheveled. It's like the Ross of drugstores. I like it and yet, at the same time, I don't. As I spent hours perusing their aisles, I wondered why. It was like i was in some sort of time lapse, where the longer I was there the more things stayed the same. It was a little spooky, really. Terrible rude service by female Pharmacist. I scheduled a Vivid test for 12:30. I got in drive through line at 12:05 with 4 cars ahead of me. Line didn't move at art for 40 min. First car did do a COVID test, but 40 minute wait for her to move. Anyhow I call d pharmacy and told them I had an appointment at 12:30 and had been waiting for 40 min. DO NOT USE THIS CVS FOR ANY PHOTO gifts, pictures or anything photo related!! I did an online order through CVS photo center for your 1193 admiral Callahan Lane vallejo ca, location for my photo order. I made two photo mugs !. I received an email that evening.... My order was ready for pick up and had tracking. I waited till the following day / evening after work this was Tuesday evening. I went to pick up my order nothing was even started!. The manager looked all over and couldn't find them and no notes or anything just says finished! No one started it, or edited it or emailed me to say sorry that email was sent in error maybe a phone call, or just cancel my order! He claims that is a glitch from the website ... the photo website sends it out automatically. Well that really makes sense so your order hasn't been finished touched or started, but you're gonna get an email saying that it's completed here's the tracking and you can come pick up your order. I have no words... anyways this manager told me to come back Wednesday in the morning and they will prioritize my order first thing and get it done free of charge. I come back Wednesday evening around 7 PM and guess what there's still no order. No one touched it. No one did it. I asked him who was supposed to do this. ?!! He said the manager Nick I said well what happened? Well, I guess he didn't have time to get to it... his words... not kidding ! So here I am day two.. no order again! when I already received an email confirmation that my order was ready. No one cared to even call or email or anything and let me know that. Typical CVS, overpriced goods and low staff...and that's fine. BUT the Pharmacist was Clueless about a COVID drug That I was prescribed, that I was told she was going to explain. I wasn't even asking in-depth questions about the drug's origins or chemical breakdown or anything like that. I simply just asked "have you heard any feedback on this drug?because it hasn't been out for a long time and I was just wondering if you've heard anything back that was negative or adverse about the symptoms?" She blankly stared and ask well "what do you want to know about it? It keeps you from going into the hospital with more severe symptoms.." HUH!?...and then informed me that they come with pamphlets. This is the most disgusting, ridiculous CVS I've ever seen. Right upon walking in, I could see trash and debris all over the floors on just about every isle. The bathrooms were gross, and good luck if you need to change your baby in there, as the changing table seems to be where they store the extra toilet seat covers, a random scented spray with a rusty bottom, and other random garbage. I grabbed a couple of drinks and some beef jerky, but then I noticed one of my favorite vodkas was on sale, $19.99 each or two for $29.99. Normally $29.99 each, plus the novelty of being able to buy booze from CVS (in Oregon we can only buy it in bars or state-sanctioned liquor stores) I was like SCORE! Only, when I went to pay the cashier only gave me the $19.99 each price. I mentioned the sale and she acted like she didn't believe me. I get it, working in retail sucks and people will tell you the price is wrong but when they go back to the shelf, the workers are right. Well, they sent someone over to the shelf where I picked mine up and she couldn't find the sale tag. I walked over with her and pointed to the tag. She said "that's for Chopin vodka" and I said "yes, that's what I grabbed." Maybe she still didn't believe me, but she and the other women working there acted as if I was really putting them out. So we walk back over to the checkout, and after three women behind the counter mumbled and grumbled and realized I was correct, I then I got the response "well I can't override the price of alcohol." Okay... but the sale sign says that price and right there on the credit card reader it says "if any item is priced incorrectly you'll get a $4 coupon." So at this point I feel like I should get 2 $4 and $10 off the price of the booze. The best they could do was $12 in coupon credits and NO apology or sorry for wasting your time or being so rude.... NOTHING. I don't live near this CVS, but this whole experience makes me want to never go back to ANY CVS. And seriously, with a WalGreens or RiteAid on just about every corner these days, there really isn't a need to! It's too bad, too. I have fond memories of going to CVS as a kid with my mom, where the employees knew us by name, and she would let me pick out a few candies from the candy bins. I called the day before regarding my insurance informations were not on file and told them i will call back , they say its fine. The next day a diffrent staff pick up the phone telling just come in pick up the your medications you have nothing to pay show your insurance card , will just bill your insurance ( whoever's on the phone doesn't know anything about what she is talking about). I was recently released from the hospital. My recovery requires pain medication. My doctor prescribed enough to last two weeks. The pharmacy made me pay out of pocket for half even though I have insurance. The whole experience was very disappointing. The woman on the phone could use compassion training. Nice location for a cvs right off the freeway. The parking lot isn't very crowded even though it's shared with a chipotle and chick fil a. The layout of the store is very organized.
