I asked to switch colors since the first one looked different than I expected, which she did not agree with. The new color was attempted to be put on over the original, but I wasn't really happy with how it looked and asked if the first color could be removed. The situation felt a little awkward after that as I could tell the tech was annoyed at me, so I didn't push it further. Honestly, it was just really upsetting to pay that much money and leave with streaky nails. Especially since the reviews were great so I was really looking forward to trying this place. I don't know if I would be back or if I would recommend to others unfortunately.

In a nutshell, the quality of the work done by the nail techs just isn't up to par. It seems as though they are hiring very green techs and they aren't receiving any training, therefore the quality hasn't stayed satisfactory. This last time the work was really bad. It took two hours for a basic gel mani and then I still didn't receive the full service. I was too shy to say anything or make a scene while I was there, so I waited until after I left. I emailed in to try and get them fixed and even then it then took almost a week of going back and forth, trying to book a new appointment... and they eventually ended up refunding me because they didn't have availability. That then meant that I had to figure out how to get them fixed elsewhere. This happened to my cousin the same exact week but at another location so I have a feeling it's across the board. Not sure if they are growing too fast or what, but it's a bummer. I've been going to either this or other locations for 3+ years, but now it's time to move on. I hope they're able to work it out.

I had a friend in town and we decided to get pedicures together. After a quick browse on Yelp, I came across Thyme in Grandview. They are fairly new, only opened about a year and half ago, and you can find them in the new development right off of 670 on Dublin Rd. I gave them a call and they were able to fit us both in a few hours later... mind you this was a Friday morning. When we got there we were totally taken back by how big and gorgeous the salon is. Everything is pristine! From the chandeliers and the blue lighting on the ceiling to the massage chairs and nail display, they couldn't have done a better job. We both got just your basic pedicure, but with gel. It came out to about $70 for each of us, not too bad. I love how big their color selection is, way more than what was available at my previous spot. The staff was also very accommodating and did a lovely job. I have no doubt I'll be back!

It was super easy and they had availability just a few days later, which was great because I tend to wait until the last minute. I arrived right on time and they were there waiting for me. I was getting a dip manicure with nail art and I also needed the dip that was already on my nails removed. When I showed them my nail art inspiration they were happy to figure it out.
