This was my first time ever going here. So I enjoyed how nice the place was. It was very clean. When I walked in I was treated very kindly and I did not have to wait for a long time. I'm a very picky person when it comes to my nails . The picture that I wanted, they were not able to do it , so I just went with all red with a couple jewelry. The only problem I had was once I left some part of my nails was not painted and it seemed they charged me for the length because the color is free and I got 2 little diamonds on my thumbs and middle finger. I will be going back to my original nail place to have them redone in 1 week. I like the shapes but I wouldn't go back because I'm very picky. Just because I'm nice and talkative and may seem that I'm not paying attention to every details I am. I will show what I wanted compared to what I received. I would recommend this place to someone who just wants their nails painted and shaped and their feet done but not someone who wants fancy's nails like you see on TikTok or instagram. I did appreciate the techs wore gloves and the pedicure chairs I saw did have the tub liners. AWFUL. I went in for a pedicure and specifically said NOT to cut my nails short-that I wanted them square and flush with the tops of my toes. This guy didn't even use nail clippers, he used cuticle cutters and cut my ENTIRE nail off all the way to where the nail bed and skin meet and cut along that line making them super round and misshaped, so short he couldn't even file them. He cut them so short they burn and putting my socks on is complete torture. I got a regular pedi with gel polish that was supposed to be $60, he charged me $75 and said he gave me a $15 discount?!?!!! so he was trying to charge me $90 after he literally destroyed my toe nails and put me in actual pain. Volare is nestled in a strip mall near Easton and is really cute and clean inside. The color selection is fantastic - I'm a big fan of bright neon colors for my toes and they have plenty of options to choose from here. The owner lady was super nice and she got the water for my pedi started right away and walked me to my chair. Me and a coworker were able to come here on our lunch break (with an appointment) and each get gel manicures quick enough to return back to work. We called 3 other places that either couldn't get us in, or their prices were too high. I called here and the cost for a gel manicure was the most affordable, so we decided on this place. They used two gel drying machines at once to make the process go quicker. I was worried that because the lady was doing so much so quickly that it would be messy, but she did an amazing job! The shop is set up really nice and super clean. They also have extra cleaning and safety measures in place for Covid which was nice. They were fairly busy but I didn't have to wait long. This was the most disappointing nail experience I have had in my entire life and I've been getting acrylics for over 30 years at salons all over the country. DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE INSULTED, OVERCHARGED, DISAPPOINTED, UPSET AND HAVE ALL OF YOUR CONCERNS AND REQUESTS IGNORED. I needed a full set and a pedicure after a long-distance move here, so I made an appointment and took a chance on Volare. After I arrived, I sat in the massage chair and had my pedicure first, and it was actually very good. A little pricey for a simple pedicure, but I was willing to splurge and pamper myself after a very long drive. HOWEVER, the acrylic nails were a complete disaster and a serious disappointment. JIMMY did my nails and this man was supposedly one of the OWNERS. Jimmy was rough, rude, abrupt, rushed and insulting. To begin with, Jimmy insulted me directly to my face. About midway through the application of the acrylics, Jimmy says to me, "Oh, you play Basketball?" WTF?? I realized that he was referring to the fact that I have somewhat large hands (which is why I wear nails in the first damn place). But I am also a very petite woman (5'2, 105), so OBVIOUSLY I don't play basketball, and a smart comment like that was only made to insult me. It very rude, careless and insensitive. I laughed it off to avoid causing a scene, but I was VERY, VERY INSULTED AND ANGRY. Whatever, Jimmy. Next, they didn't have any colors remotely resembling the light pink translucent color they advertise. And this was after I showed him at least 10 pictures of the exact color and shape I wanted. It's a widely used choice. The color is Bubble Bath by OPI with a "squoval" shape. Common and popular, right? I never told him the name of the polish, but I heard him say to a nearby colleague "Bubble Bath," and he said it in English, so I KNOW he knew what I wanted. I would have been perfectly okay with anything close to that, but all they had were a lot of garish, bright and tacky SOLID pink colors available. Unfortunately, I didn't realize this until AFTER I washed my hands. At that point, I was kinda stuck. But if I had known how ugly any of them would look, I would have left that place WITHOUT POLISH and just done it myself at home. I also asked him to make them thin. Nope. They're thick as HORSE HOOVES. The shape ended up a blunt, sharp, square shape with a tacky bubblegum polish on top, and nails so thick you could have probably done another full set with the extra acrylic he carelessly slapped on. The worst part is that I had to wait a week before removing these ugly things because MY CUTICLES WERE TORN UP AND BLEEDING from his CARELESS and RUSHED application. I had to let that heal first before I could get any other chemicals anywhere near my nails. I wished that I'd remembered to take a picture of that hot mess immediately afterward, but I was going out later that night and I had to hurry and try and make them presentable. However, later, I DID remember to take a picture of the thickness of the nails after I clipped them down before I soaked them off. See my picture and note the uneven thickness of the nails, especially on my middle finger. It should also be noted that Jimmy also messed up part of my pedicure by stepping on my feet repeatedly while he was doing my nails. He never apologized for that, either. I truly wish an honest review would have been available before I COMPLETELY WASTED $75 (+ tip). I see that there are many positive reviews here, but my experience at Volare Salon was a HUGE disappointment and a waste of money and time. The one positive thing I can say is that the spa was very clean and the pedicure tools had all been sterilized and sealed before they were used on me. Also, the place was empty, so there was no double booking and long waits going on. But now I know why it was empty. Anyway, you've been warned. read more

I've been trying to find a nail spa that is both friendly and quality and have really been struggling. I came here and was assigned to Jimmy and he did such an amazing job! He was friendly, sweet, and very thorough. My dip nails are even and smooth and he covered my entire nails :) I usually have problems at other salons with gaps between the dip and the sides of my nails but I didn't have that issue at Volare. I have such mixed emotions over this experience. Yes. My toes are polished and they look pretty...however, this was the FASTEST pedicure I have ever in my life had. The longest parts were trying to find a color and then sitting in the chair after it was over. The technician was rough and I had to hold my foot in a way that it kept cramping up...The massage was good but not long enough. I was not given choices of pedicure services so I am not sure what I paid $37 and change (including tax) for. I will say that my toes are polished and look pretty but I missed the sugar/salt scrub and spa part of the experience that I associate with having a pedicure. This was my first time here and will not be returning. I will add that I did call and I scheduled the appointment. They were ready for me when I arrived and were helpful with finding a color...the bottles of polish on the shelves were hard to see and many were empty and funky looking. I'm so happy I found this nail salon! I used to go to Lacquer on 3rd Ave, but after 3 sub-par visits in a row (out of 5 total), I quickly realized I needed to jump ship. I wanted to get my nails done before flying out to a music festival in New York, and Volare is decently close to the airport. I almost missed it at first because it's hidden in the Giant Eagle plaza on Stelzer, so be careful about that. My first visit for a simple manicure had about a 20-minute wait because they were super busy, so I scheduled my second visit for a pedicure and had no wait at all. The techs are incredibly fast and good at their job, and you even get a free hand/foot massage! My nails looked absolutely perfect, and they always know exactly what I'm looking for.
