I recently moved to a new neighborhood and have been on the lookout for a new nail salon, preferably one close enough for me to walk to. I found Vinci on Yelp and just so happen to know a few people that have left them great reviews. After confirming they offered the service I like, I made an appointment on their website. It was super easy and they had availability just a few days later, which was great because I tend to wait until the last minute. I arrived right on time and they were there waiting for me. I was getting a dip manicure with nail art and I also needed the dip that was already on my nails removed. When I showed them my nail art inspiration they were happy to figure it out. While that meant trying a new technique for them, they were all for it. I'm pleased to share that the results looked amazing and I'm super happy with them. I'll totally go back. I'm in dire need of a pedicure so I'm sure it won't be long before I return. A few things to know before you go... There's a parking lot out front with more parking on the street. They are happy to serve you alcoholic beverages if you'd like. It's rather large with plenty of chairs. They have another location in Upper Arlington. While the technician was removing my cuticle on my big toe it started bleeding because she cut too deep but the technician continued to file my cuticle despite the injury. I'm confused as to why she continued to use the dremel on my cuticle knowing it was bleeding. I decided to get my nails done for the first time in a year and after hearing great things about Vinci I was so excited! I booked a Dip manicure with extensions and a special shaping add on. This should have taken an hour to hour and a half. Macie took 40 minutes. It seemed that she booked another client at 11am, my appointment was at 10:00am, Macie grabbed me and took me back at 10:15am. The entire appointment felt rushed towards the end! The beginning was great but as soon as her next client came in (10:45) she started rushing through the rest of my nails. I asked for some shaping adjustments and for her to fix some things but it was very clear she was going to do the bare minimum in order to get me out of her chair. I have never had such a horrible customer service experience. bad from the start when they said my appointment wasn't until 6pm and i booked it for 5:20pm and had a confirmation. i was patient. never have gotten my nails done so poorly before. like many others whom have left poor reviews, they didn't look AS BAD until i left the salon and stepped out into the natural light. my nail tech kept touching them to see if they were dry and left fingerprints every time and just said "oops!" , there are many spots that are drilled down to the base powder, super uneven and thick, multiple cuts, and 2 nails are completely different colors because she put gel on top of dip (not the same color). i reached out with my experience and got completely gaslit saying it's my fault i left when they were wet and i made all the marks (she told me i was good to leave after i sat there patiently forever, and they looked the exact same walking out as they do in these photos). they refuse to give me a refund and i paid $85+ for THIS!!!!! absolutely horrible experience. do not recommend. read more

Definitely will try out again. Was in town for the holidays and they kindly fit me in last minute the morning of what I can only imagine was long to be a very busy day. My nail technician was super nice. Did toes first and let me add on the extra scrub and stuff. They do prefer to use the dremmel to remove gel which I cannot stand. Be sure to tell them early if you prefer gel removed the old school way. Everyone was super nice and the salon itself was clean, modern and had a good vibe. And they have booze! The salon was nice and clean and the check-in process was quick. I got dip with tips and the nail tech, Sonny, did an excellent job. Went to Vinci for the first time and had a good experience. The workers are all very friendly and the space is cute. I was worried about parking but they have a parking lot out front. There's a variety of pedicure services to choose from and my technician took his time. The one thing I thought was odd was they asked me if I wanted wanted water. I said yes, and was then charged $1. I have never been charged for water at a nail salon before while paying for two services for people. Wasn't upset about the price but thought it was a little rude to the customers. read more

Ok, the vibe and people were lovely. We walked out with our first gel x looking "nice". We did have some nail art but nothing super intricate. We were in and out in under an hour. However, they started to lift within days for my daughter and came off in under two weeks. There were several mis-sized and all were pretty far from my nail bed. It looked like I had nearly a week of nail growth but they seemed nice enough and I thought I could make it work. Mine were lifting in slightly over a week and then every single one had long strands of hair inside at the removal (elsewhere). Lovely place, bar you can purchase mixed drinks and nice atmosphere. For paying $100 (for two) more than quoted despite being clear about our simple nail art was a $250 lesson. As for calling them to repair, they said a hard week guarantee and between work and having to go out of town, we went into day 8-9 before I could even make an appointment. Came here for the first time. You're greeted by large bottles of alcohol right at the front desk so you know it'll be a good time. Nail techs were friendly but I think they have some new people so felt like the logistics of things were slightly off. Everything is new and each station has a clean divider. Very disappointed in the lack of respect that the employees offer their customers. I made an appointment looking to extend my nails with a different product other than gel x. On the phone, I asked the gentleman if there was anything other than gel x that offered me this service, while also allowing my natural nails to grow. He suggested that I try structure gel, so I booked an appointment with this salon while also looking to do a design at 5 p.m. I arrived 25 minutes prior to my appointment excited to treat myself. I was informed that the nail artist, Flynn, needed 20 minutes until she was ready, in which case I waited patiently. Since I booked my appointment with my friend, we both sat down at the same time we were booked for, which was 5 p.m. As my friend started her services, I was left waiting another 20 minutes for Flynn to show up. When she sat down, I showed her the design and explained that I was happy to find a product that would extend my nails without harming my natural ones. To which she quickly explained that the structure gel cannot extend the nails without extensions and they only offer gel x if you're looking to extend your nails. Confused, I explained what the man on the phone told me and she said, "well, he doesn't know what he's saying because that's not right." Unsure about what service I wanted to do, I asked if the dip powder is able to extend your nail, to which she responded, "girl, no." Caught off guard by the rude remark, I was conflicted on what service I wanted. Flynn then got up and she said, "I'll give you some time," and walked away for 5 minutes. When she finally came back, I said that I would do the gel x because I was so eager to treat myself. She said that there wasn't enough time for the services and told me to pick a solid color. I explained that I was looking forward to my design and she said, "sorry, you didn't understand what you wanted." In that given moment, I should've walked away but it was something that I was looking forward to all week, and I haven't done my nails in months. So instead of giving her the same energy, I went quiet and collected myself. I decided to not let her rudeness define how I would react to her and engage in friendly conversation. When she finished the gel x and putting on a nude polish. She said that she would ask if there was more time to do my desired design, so she explained that she can only do polka dots, to which I agreed. When I showed her the pictures she said that the circles were all different sizes when they weren't and decided to rush the design. Utterly disgusting and disappointed. I left paying $90 for dinosaur egg nails. The next day, I called back because I refuse to have ugly nails for the next two weeks, I explained everything that happened to the gentleman on the phone. In which he was the same gentleman I booked with that the nail artists said they don't know what he's talking about. I made an appointment and I had to have Flynn again because it was her work and no one else was able to work on me because they don't know what she did. I got my desired design without the attitude, however, I had to pay another $15 for my nails in which the shape on one finger is terrible. Never going here again. read more

The first time I went to Vinci Nail Salon, I had made an appointment for a specific time. Two customers were taken back before me, and when I asked why the front desk said someone made their appointments wrong and they were getting them worked in. Fast forward to my second appointment as I made my it for today because I'm moving to St Louis Friday for work, and they refused to squeeze me in even though they made the mistake and put my it for next Monday when I'll be gone!! Would give this place 0 stars if I could. Terrible customer service and terrible service in general. Kylie seemed disinterested and rushed the entire time she was doing my nails. Not to mention they changed my appointment time without asking me at 10pm the night before my appointment. Her service was so rushed that she literally would dip my finger into the dip powder for less than a second. After she finished and I paid ($70 for dip with a tip lol), I went outside in natural sunlight and couldn't believe how bad my nails actually were. My old nail polish was still showing and the dip wasn't to the edge of the nail for EVERY nail. When I went back in to show them how bad and ask for a refund, they were not willing to work with me at all. I've been to this salon a couple of times over my usual one and each time has been a mid experience.. although this time I was needing my nails done for a wedding I was attending this weekend. I came in with a picture of what I wanted and was told that they would do their best to recreate it.. needless to say, they did not come out exactly how I wanted.. I would've rather just been told that they couldn't do it because now I'm going to my usual salon to get them redone. Initially I would've given a 5 star review, as I loved my nails when I left, but it's only been 2 days since I got them done and they've already chipped. The chrome powder took max 1 min to apply as it was just rubbed in and they counted it as full design and charged me 15 dollars ???? On the website, a design is services such as colored French tips , marble , and ombré. I understand adding a fee for the chrome but maybe max 5 dollars for something as easy as chrome. This did not take the amount of time that any of the design services would have. The website states a gel manicure costs 40. Not to mention I did not get tips. I understand nails are expensive but this was just absurd. To add to it, my nails peeled days after. Last time, the owner didn't even charge me because they looked so bad and told me to come back and get them redone which I did not have time to do. This time my nails are coming off not even two weeks later and the girl had nicked all of my cuticles with the drill, all of my fingers were bleeding. I did schedule beforehand which I recommend because I image it gets pretty busy!
