My nails were quite literally ripped off. The owners acted as though they had never removed a set of nails before. In my 15 years of having acrylic, dip, and gel nails, I have never had a set removed without soaking in acetone first. During the service, the mother was recording me from her pedicure chair after I noticed her repeatedly texting the daughter about me. As a result of improper removal, two of my nails now have exposed raw skin (see attached photo). She used a piece from a new set to pry off my old acrylics, severely damaging my natural nails. The experience was painful to the point that I was crying -- and I was still charged. read more

I've been to this salon several times and I love it. I haven't been in months because I cut my nails and wasn't getting polish. Now they are long and I wanted a dip and went back to VN nails. I walked in and he said, are you getting dip?" You have no idea how happy it makes me when someone remembers me! They don't have a large staff and you might have to wait a little but I don't mind because I really like them. They do great work, are friendly and have great conversation if you feel like talking, and if you don't, that is okay too. I don't like places that are crowded and have a lot of people so I don't mind driving 20 minutes to this salon. They listen to good music, have a cool fish tank and it is relaxing. read more

I rather leave one star reviews and I'm really hesitant about leaving this one but here it goes. I chose to come here because the place that I get my nails done does not do eyebrows. So this location is 1 mile away from the location that I generally get my nails done. So it's about 12 PM and there are no customers at all. This was a surprise for trying something new out! I get so nervous with me nail and hair salons. This salon took good care of me, it was very slow so I can vouch for the crunch times! I have never never had a better shop nail! I get the stiletto shape and they always end up crooked or off, this person took her time and did it right, I wish I asked her name. I have been coming here regularly for about 6 months. Tonight, my friend and I got pedicures and she requested the color attached(12). This is a chrome color, where you have to start black, and add powder to get it to the proper shade. I decided to come here to get my nails done based on some good reviews I saw. I will say, the staff is efficient and quick and doing nails. However, they quoted me the wrong price. Also, they made my nails way too short. I asked for a dip manicure, and the dip is so thick each nail looks like a mountain. It's honestly ridiculous. When I tell you this is the BEST nail salon in Columbus - it is true! I started going to VN Nails many years ago on a whim when I very first moved to the Dublin area. I have since moved around the Columbus area to various sides of town (Hilliard, East side Columbus, and now New Albany) and I have yet to find anywhere else that number one will deliver the high quality of service they do here and number two, their prices are beyond fair for what you get (if not a deal because of how good they are) and they don't try to nickel and dime you like some other nail salons do for different length, shape, etc. In addition to all of that, Inna (one half of the owners) does an amazing job on acrylics and has never ceased to amaze me when I show her the design I want and she nails it every single time. I have tried other shops so I wouldn't have to drive as far but every time every other place I have tried always disappoints (either will charge you an arm and a leg or look terrible or both). Worst pedicure of my life! Fortunately I did not have to pay for it. The manager did not charge me due to my complaint. I have been here once before and the pedicure was ok, not amazing but worth the low price of $30. I used this location instead of my regular spot because I was in the area. Plus there was a 20% off on Yelp. Big mistake. I came in at 3:30pm & it was not busy. I believe my nail tech was new as she often seemed confused and the other staff was helping her. She also spoke very limited english. She was extremely rough & it often hurt. My terrible pedicure took nearly 2 hours! (It was a basic pedicure & only supposed to take an hour or less.) Most of this time was spend shredding my cuticles. Very little time was spent on callous removal & my heels do not feel soft like they normally do after a pedicure. The tech cut my left big toenail at a huge angle. The manager later told me that it was because the nail was ingrown. I have never had this problem before and it has never been cut this way elsewhere. If it was in fact ingrown, someone should have discussed it with me. Now my toe hurts & looks ridiculous (see first pic). After an hour & a half of getting butchered the manager came over to paint my toes. I mentioned that it was taking so long. He seemed to not really care, although he was polite. He did a terrible job painting the white color and spent no time cleaning up any mistakes he made. Honestly my 8 year old could have done a better job. Further, he did not put on my open toed sandals, so once he pained they could not be put on with out ruining the paint. He gave me the cheap disposable flip flops instead, which I did not want. He put me under the dryer for 2 minutes. After 2 minutes I was told it was fine. I put my sandals on & smudged the paint. A lady came over at the dryer & quickly put a new coat on top, which only made it worse. My regular salon would have removed it & replaced the polish. When I complained that it was the worst pedicure of my life, they said no charge. No one apologised or tried to make my mess of a pedicure right. I left at 5:20pm. A 2 hour painful & sloppy pedicure that put me behind for the rest of my day. I will never return. My regular salon may be more expensive but it's worth every penny!!! read more
