3.75. I saw this place years ago on Diners, Drive-in's and Dives and have wanted to try it ever since. For some reason we just never went despite many visits to the South Side. One night recently when undecided of where to have dinner my wife said hey we've been wanting to try Nadine's so let's go. When we pulled up it lived up I was pleased to see they had their own parking lot. First impression of outside and inside was that it was definitely a dive bar, but that's not a bad thing. It's a tiny little place, long and narrow. It seemed like most of the patrons were local regulars. The menu was bigger than I expected and was surprised to see that they even offer breakfast service. We sat at the bar and we were quickly greeted. I decided to try the soup of the day which was lasagna soup. It wasn't bad, but not amazing. It could have had a little more seasoning. I then ordered a Reuben and my wife had a cheesesteak. The food was cooked right in front of us on a tiny little griddle behind the bar. It didn't take long for the food to arrive. It was all pretty solid. My wife seemed to enjoy her sandwich as did I. I should have asked for more Russian dressing for my Reuben but it was good.

I was able to return to Nadine's after a five year absence. I was in the area and decided to stop for breakfast. I arrived around 7:40 AM on a Friday morning. Parking is still free, most seating is at the bar and there are a few tables. I had two eggs over medium, sausage, with home fries. All food was served pretty quickly. Nadine's is very clean and everyone was friendly. This is a quality stop in the Southside. I'm glad I popped back in. It was missed.

This is definitely a no frills kind of spot, but with friendly bar staff who can cook. We stopped in on a Saturday evening and sat down at the bar. There looked to be a few tables towards the back, but the place is small and its majority bar seating. We ordered two blue moons at $4.50 each, a cheeseburger with fries, and the roast beef sandwich with fries and gravy. I was surprised to see that the grill is located right at the bar. We watched as our food was prepared by the same bartender serving our drinks! The food was decent. Exactly what was expected. The burger was a good size patty and they stuck two pieces of cheese on there with the lettuce and tomato I asked for. The roast beef sandwich and fries were smothered with a thick, flavorful gravy. Everything is served on paper plates. It definitely gives off a family bbq vibe!

Nadine's is a great spot In southside! Has been on diners drive ins and dives - for good reason! A casual hole in the wall that's a Pittsburgh staple! Great food and spot!

Great little bar! Finally had the pleasure of checking this place out on New Year's Day. It was packed and so fun. We all got breakfast food to sop up our hangovers. The bartender/waitress was super friendly and efficient. We were served in a timely manner and enjoyed our breakfast. We sat right by the Guy Fieri posters so it was cool to read the history of the restaurant and their Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives write up. Will definitely return!

    So much delicious cheeeeeese!

When it's lunchtime, it's always one of the hot sandwiches from my childhood....hot turkey, beef, or meatloaf on bread, usually with fries and gravy over everything. The thing I always liked was that the turkey was always real.....as in real sliced turkey. I was there last week for a late lunch, early dinner and I saw that one of the specials was a turkey dinner. That was all I had to see. I chose a salad as my side. That was my first big mistake. When I told my friends, they all said. Ewwww, you should NEVER order a salad there and I found out for myself, why. The lettuce was all brown edged, looked over chilled and somewhat mushy with two sliced of cucumber. The cucumber was fresh which made the lettuce look even worse. Then came the entree. All I saw was a sea of gravy, which is fine. I started to get into the meal and went for the dressing/stuffing. It was a gray/beige color, very wet and it looked like someone put bread in water and wrang it out by squeezing their hand. The fries were fries. No problem there. Then I saw it. The turkey was round, all the same thickness and all the same shape. I crashed big time. Decades of my life were slapped in the face and I felt betrayed. When the server came to the table she asked, "Aren't you hungry?" I said, "Uhh not really." And she replied, "I understand." I'm hesitant to go back, even for breakfast and especially not for a hot turkey sandwich. If I saw round turkey on that, I don't know what I'd do! So, if you're looking for breakfast...fine. Anything else....you're on your own. Thanks for the memories, at least.

Luckily there were only a few people ahead of us and this place doesn't really good job of keeping people on a steady flow in and out. They do require that you have all of your party ready to sit before they'll sit you down. We waited perhaps 5 minutes to get a table for four. Among us we ordered the eggs benedict, biscuits and gravy, and their classic breakfast sandwich. Across the board it was all very tasty. The biscuits and gravy I think use a sweet or sausage that I'm used to, but it was still very good. One of the best things about the eggs benedict is that it didn't taste just like the sauce, which is common. Instead you got the full medley of flavors from the egg and all the fixings. We also got their classic Italian bread french toast which is so buttery by itself you really almost don't need syrup. Served by very friendly but very efficient waitresses. The only downside, which this restaurant can't really control, is that parking is a pain and is expensive. But that's just a nature of the way the Strip District has grown. We didn't have any other sandwiches but they look like they would be delicious and this would be a good place for a brunch or lunch as well.

Our favorite was the homemade home fries with onions and green peppers--they were perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and some of the best we've had. We stopped by this location of Pamela's and instantly, I felt like I was transported into a retro 50s/60s diner. The multi-colored walls are decorated heavily with old-school board games. There's a veil of grease in the air that screamed the classic diner experience. SAUSAGE & CHEESE OMELETTE + Lyonnaise potatoes (side) + whole wheat bread (toast) The sausage & cheese (we asked for Swiss instead of American) omelette itself wasn't anything worth raving about as it was pretty typical. However, the Lyonnaise potatoes were phenomenal. It's that in between "hash and mash" texture, and it was seasoned incredibly well. The potatoes were definitely the highlight here, and the omelette was good protein, I guess. Definitely forgot about the whole wheat bread. BLUEBERRY HOTCAKES Soft, crepe-like wrap (a bit thicker than crepe but thiner than pancake) wrapped around blueberries and whipped cream. This was not too sweet and quire savory. They're known for their hotcakes at Pamela's and I can see why. I don't remember the individual pricing for each, but both were under $25 total. Definitely great tasting food for a phenomenal price. I highly recommend!
