    Steak dish, supplemental cost
    Coryn M.

We had dinner for two people with two drinks each and with tip it came out to about $400. With that in mind, food needs to be excellent and service really needs to be spot on. Unfortunately, that's just not the experience we had. I will say the food was solid, but the only things that really jumped out as great was actually our amuse and my dessert. I had the s'mores dessert and it was unbelievable. All of our other dishes, the mushrooms, dumplings, chicken, and steak, were good but nothing that absolutely wowed us. For example, the chicken was beautiful and moist, but nothing that made me go "Oh my God this is memorable." Our server was nice, chatty, and very pleasant, but we had a few hiccups with service for this price point. Plates being dropped at the wrong seat and not being able to find him when we were trying to order a drink for quite a while. We ended up having to ask a hostess to go get him for us. I was able to overhear a neighboring server who was giving great explanations of the dishes, even why they delivered the check in a book and about the meal highlighted inside. We didn't get any of that. That was disappointing and took away from our overall experience. Again, he was very nice and for a normal meal out at a regular price point. I would've been more than happy. Overall though for this much money, we probably won't be back. I would've been thrilled with the meal for half the price but for a $400 dinner for two people it just didn't hit our expectations. If this had been a $200-250 meal, it would have been five stars.

Bite sized treat we were given to go

Second visit to Nadair and it was for a special reason- to celebrate the first heavenly birthday of our sweet friend. We had an early reservation and it was empty but as time went by it filled up. Our server Aaron was helpful with suggestions and every person we encountered there was so kind and helpful. We did the three course menu. We each got a cocktail and small onion tart as the amuse that we had caviar added on to begin. We got the cheese dumplings and fried oysters for the appetizer course. Next we had a small bread service with smoked butter. For the entrees we gad the chicken thighs and rainbow trout. For dessert we had the early season peach dessert and the blueberry trifle. We ended with a small trio of treats and a small box with a bite sized little bite. All so delicious. We had a lovely evening in a lovely space with a variety music. The menu changes based on the season so you never know what you're gonna get. Well, you know one thing- a fantastic meal!

Chef Gillespie is my hubby's fave celebrity chef. We have dined here a couple of times and every experience has been unforgettable. The staff are exceptional, the food is exceptional, the cocktails are exceptional, and the sommelier's wine pairings are ... exceptional. The dining room is beautiful but best of all comfortable - you are made to feel like you are having dinner at a friend's house. We love the dining experience Chef Gillespie and his amazing team have created at Nadair.

The food was excellent, with the poached halibut being the best I've had in my life. The service was also very good. That said, I found the portions to be somewhat small. Additionally, the cuisine felt more broadly European than distinctly Scottish.

Scottish-Southern (American) fusion? My curiosity was piqued, and I'll try anything once. But let me tell you, I was floored by the incredible flavor combinations and the elegantly presented courses. We ordered the three-course dinner followed by a couple of courses of dessert ... every single bite was memorable. For instance, I had the Fried Oysters "Tikka Masala" for the appetizer. I have had tikka masala gravy in many places, and I love fried oysters. What made this special was that each oyster was perfectly seasoned and lightly fried, the small cucumber pieces in the salad were packed full of flavor, and tikka masala sauce, outstandingly creamy with just the right spiciness. Our server not only described the chef's inspiration behind each dish but also shared the fascinating sources of its primary ingredients. We dined with friends who've been raving about Nadair, and now we completely understand why they couldn't wait to share it with us. My wife and I are already planning our next visit, eager to bring more friends to experience this. Atlanta is incredibly fortunate to have gems like Nadair and chefs like Chef Gillespie. Do yourself a favor take advantage of these gems while it is still relatively easy to get a reservation.

Good meal! Honestly a huge fan of the chef's work years ago on Top Chef-respected the chef's onscreen personality and food from the show. Visited both Revival and Gunshow a few times when they opened but was not a fan of either places. Nadair however, is worth it. First of all- the tasting menu is appropriately priced. You won't feel like you got scammed...unlike some ATL tasting menus. And the food is good...seriously. The amuse is an onion cheese tart that hits the spot. Warm, cozy, onion-y welcome to the start of the meal. The vegetarian Haggis is good. Husband said the lamb was fine. The sorbet/ice cream flight was ok individually, but weird to eat as a flight. The watermelon sorbet is a good palate cleanser but odd with the fall-ish pumpkin ice cream... I really like the menu because there were other items I want to return to try, and also since the menu changes, look very forward to other dishes from this kitchen. Love when restaurants change menus because it means it won't be boring on return visits. Nadair is a good neighborhood restaurant, I would totally come weekly to check out the menu. Oh and I have been complaining about bread baskets in restaurants lately...I wish Nadair had a bread basket! Their bread/roll is sooooo good (ordered a second piece of bread because it was so good! But the banana part of the butter is odd for dinner, maybe for brunch...but too sweet for dinner). Bar makes a lovely cocktail with tomato oil...very strong. Bar is cute, but the layout with the front entrance feels a bit awkward. Staff is very knowledgeable of spirits. Was having a cocktail before dinner and discussing whiskey with a service team member. He was very knowledgeable about whiskeys. Totally recommend for the food and service. Service team is nice and friendly, although I think the table service needs to be a bit tighter. This is a good spot to celebrate something, but I think it's just a good place to get dinner/food. Pre-fixe menu is great value and good quality food!

One of the top dining experiences we've had in a long time and we will return! The meal totaled to almost $200 pp so not an everyday restaurant, note we ordered items with an upcharge and had three drinks. The creative flair to the food was excellent and all the flavors melded together beautifully. For starters e had the mushrooms and the white Gazpacho. The gazpacho was outstanding. Loved the mushrooms very much altho they were a bit salty. Bread service was delicious dinner roll served with house-made butter with a banana butter on top, really added a special touch. The table next to us had the gazpacho for dessert and said it was a perfect palate cleanser. Entrees were Smoked Lobster and Pork Shoulder, both excellent although I think the lobster had a bit too much sauce (but it was delicious). Desserts, yummy. Good sommelier. Loved that the restaurant was not overwhelmingly loud, not loud at all. The booth was very comfortable. Definitely not for children.

Let me tell you this If you would have told me 3 years ago when I first moved to Atlanta that a fine dining Scottish restaurant opened up and it WILL blow your mind. I would have likely kicked you in the nuts because I'd be under the assumption that after a statement as crazy as that - that you'd try to rob me Nadair is one of the best dining experiences I've had in Atlanta or any other major US city in that regard. The food is incredibly innovative yet deeply nostalgic. Flavors are hearty yet light - in a state of perpetual harmony. I was absolutely blown away by the Scottish cheese dumplings, pork shoulder, and lamb tenderloin tartare. To be quite frank, I'd have a meal here with Chef Gillespie over just about any place I've been to in the past 3 years of my fine dining addiction. I like to give high praise whenever I have a good experience. Nadair exceeded ALL expectations and I fully believe that it is the new high water mark for fine dining in Atlanta. Come to Nadair and come hungry. Get the basil cocktail and indulge on the prix fixe or the tasting menu. You cannot go wrong with any option you pick here. It's seriously all amazing

    Wood Grilled Wagyu Beef Culotte

I was here for my anniversary with my wife, had 3 course dinner. Fine dining, Scottish root, and Southern flavor intrigued my curiosity. The place is very low profile, I like that, we were trying to find the front door after parking since it was dark. We had beer when we were waiting at the bar. The service was courteous. In between the courses there were delicious scone or bread. Wood Oven Roasted Georgia Mushrooms - The caramel aroma was obvious, and oyster mushroom was thick and bite on the texture was quite satisfying, crunchy torn bread was used to enrich the taste. It's little salty to me, so as wife's starter - smoked rock shrimp, the waiter kindly offered to switch to another starter, that's fine, but that's where I knock down one star rating. Wood Grilled Wagyu Beef Culotte - the quality of Wagyu beef was definitely better than the regular USDA Prime beef, but it was not up to signature marbled beef and doesn't melt in your mouth. Anyway the wagyu beef was tender and its meatiness was satisfying. Apple Cider Donut - there are different levels of taste: the crispness of the donut and the creaminess from the Ice Cream. Overall we had very nice experience and enjoyed the meal. I can sense and appreciate that every course was designed with details and thoughts to enhance our taste. The place is great for dating or small group parties.

The food, drinks and service were top notch. We enjoyed all of the delicious and creative dishes. We particularly loved the Scottish Style Cheese Dumplings and the Florida Rock Shrimp. From beginning to end, everything was delicious! We were celebrating our 41st wedding anniversary and the staff and the incredible Chef Kevin went out of their way to make it extra special for us! Every moment spent there was a pleasure! We truly love this restaurant!

My sister and I visited Atlanta for the first time because of a concert at the State Farm Arena. Since we had limited time and it was a Saturday, we joined the waitlist as a backup and booked Gunshow. Luckily, a 6 pm slot opened, and we canceled Gunshow (we'll visit another time). Make sure you double-check whether you have the tasting menu or 3-course option selected, we made that mistake, however, weekends fill up quickly. Our waiter told us we could add on another starter. As big fans of Top Chef, we were excited to visit Kevin Gillespie's newest restaurant, I loved seeing his modern take on Scottish food, all with a Southern flair. We loved the details like using the flatware from his home, the local-made ingredients, and the Shaker furniture, which our waiter enjoyed telling us all about. The candle up front and in the restroom was specially made in Scotland for his restaurant. As for the food, some standouts included: Grilled Watermelon and Small Tomato Salad, Grilled Scallop & Peach Glazed Pork Belly, and the Dornoch Dreams. The peaches were so delicious and a must-try when in Georgia. We also really enjoyed the bread course which was a scone/biscuit, so buttery and flaky! We loved how the ingredients were locally sourced and fresh. My only criticism was that the sole could have used a touch more salt, but maybe that's because it was described as a take on fish and chips and I was expecting it to be saltier. Overall, our waiter was clearly enthusiastic about his job and passionate about the food. As a special treat, the manager came over and chatted with us about some must-visit places in Atlanta. She also invited us to tour the kitchen and take a photo with the chef. Chef Gillespie was very kind and took the time to talk about his Scottish roots and the little details he put into the restaurant. This was a night to remember! Tip: The restaurant is pretty difficult to find. Skip over the first parking lot and go to the second one, you'll see a hair salon labeled on the side of the building. It's part of a suite, so you need to go up the stairs and down the stone pathway. It should be on the end on your left.

I took my fiancée for his birthday. The staff were so lovely from our server Rell and sommelier to the Chef himself. Every course was just beyond delicious. Obsessed and now want to attempt the biscuits, cornbread purée and potato pave at home. We even had a little rabbit visitor outside we gave a good Scottish name to. Rona the Rabbit. Kilts and plaids encouraged!! My only nitpick is we needed a basket of those biscuits to mop up any last bits on the plates. God they were good and I shall dream of them tonight. Thanks for a great experience Nadair!

Loved this place. Great ambiance. Tons of parking. Amazing bar and bartender. The food was so good and well thought out and prepared. Kevin was there and served us the bread course. Loved it. Highly recco for a fun tasting menu!!
