I have been trying my best to only hand out 5 stars to restaurants that earn it, and the hungry peach EARNED it. My Dad was celebrating his 60th birthday and 'The Hungry Peach' just happened to be where we decided to go for lunch. Unfortunately due to COVID The Hungry Peach closed down in August, and recently reopened this past Monday. And boy oh boy am I thankful that they did. First let me say it's slightly challenging to find the restaurant. If you are at the ADAC center you are at the right place. The Hungry Peach is on the 2nd floor and if you follow the directions to the Cafè you'll find the restaurant without any trouble. The service here was unmatched. We were able to speak with the owner Malina and she was absolutely wonderful, a true delight!!! I ordered the Hungry Peach Burger and it was a very good burger the caramelized onions along with the sweet pickles make for a better duo than Batman and Robin. I loved it! My sister ordered the Peach BLT and she said the peach jam made the sandwich amazing. My dad ordered the chicken panini and he loved that as well. Now...not that the lunch wasn't great in and of itself, but this is where The Hungry Peach stole my heart. The Peach Cupcake is without hesitation the BEST cupcake I've ever had in my entire life. My sister said "I will have these cupcakes at my wedding." If you go to The Hungry Peach and don't get a cupcake you are not fully living and are making a big mistake and are a fool, respectfully. Interesting location- I found this place on Yelp but did not realize it is inside the ADAC which is the Atlanta Decorative Arts Center. Basically an interior decorators dream! Once we parked we had to walk to the very back of the warehouse but the restaurant was cute and the food was great. I had half chicken salad sandwich which was piled very high and very chicken based. And then half a salad which was very fresh! I got an Italian cookie which was amazing!!! Must try a dessert. read more

Found this place off too good to go. So basically, it's a surprise bag of something they have left over from the day. I luckily got a chicken salad salad. This was delicious. The chicken salad was super flavorful with big chunks of chicken. The mixture fruit was perfect and the balsamic dressing really made it all come together. Chicken pesto panini- comes with a side (or soup or chips). The sandwich is typical: chicken slices, pesto, sundried tomatoes. Tomato gazpacho- O.M.G!!!!! Explosion of flavors on my palate. So refreshing and cool with fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, and other deliciousness. That bowl was licked dry. Pimento cheese with crackers- apparently you get more cheese if you don't get the snack box with jelly and toast. This was the best pimento cheese I remember ever eating!! I eat a lot of pimento cheese. I'll blame it on my job, but seriously, I've tasted it all. After all, in so many Southern lunches, it's used like a condiment, akin to salt and pepper. With my extensive pimento cheese sampling experience, I can conclusively say that the Hungry Peach has the best. Y'all, they MAKE THEIR OWN MAYONNAISE for the pimento cheese. That's dedication. Though the pimento cheese certainly can stand alone, I highly recommend that you instead enjoy it as part of their "Southern BLT," where it is spread on their southern style white bread and topped with thick cut bacon, lettuce, and tomato. I heard rave reviews on all the sandwiches sampled, but I can't imagine anything tasting better than that Southern BLT. The beautiful side salads (pasta and green) were also very tasty, and the truffle brownies were delicious, though looking over their website, I'm a little bummed we didn't also try the peach cobbler cupcakes! I can't believe I didn't know about this spot, but I'm grateful my coworkers discovered the Hungry Peach and picked them to cater our office lunch. While I didn't handle the coordination of this meal, my coworker who did said they were incredibly easy to work with and excited to help put together the right order. Stumbled upon the page for this adorable cafe while we were starving at home goods. After an admittedly strange adventure through a building full of furniture showrooms, we were greeted with a warm smile and immediately felt right at home. That wonderful hospitality was followed by great food. We got the fried green tomatoes (delicious!) as well as the chicken pesto sandwich, which had the softest, most amazing bread. My boyfriend and I were arguing over which side to get the pasta salad or the fruit. We decided on the pasta salad and they had heard us so they brought us both!! So sweet and made us feel really appreciated by the service. I proceeded to shriek with joy when we delved into a peach cobbler cupcake that we just had to get as it was our first peach item since moving to Atlanta a week ago. Ate here with a friend last week for a late lunch. I had a Reuben with Pasta salad and a lemonade and my buddy had another sandwich with chips and a lemonade. Both plates were clean in the end as we ate everything. I have heard great things and it did not disappoint. The only negative is what others have said is that it is tricky to find. You have to kind of wiggle around the building to get there. When you think you've gone far enough and it cant possibly be around the corner anymore... go a little bit further. Its worth it! This is such a weird cafe. It's in the ADAC and it's tricky to find because that place is a maze. The decor is cute and feels like a nice restaurant or bistro, but their menu offerings are abysmal. They only have like five things on their menus and it's all stuff you could easily make at home. I had avocado toast and the bread was like multi-grain bread I could've bought at a grocery store. The prices are low, the food is simple, and I think if you work in this weird building its convenient, but don't go out of your way to have a meal here. It's satisfying if you're looking for good food in Atlanta or are wanting to catch up with friends. The staff is perfectly nice and there's nothing wrong with the food, but it is not inspiring in any way. I'm confused by the such high ratings. I guess their demographic doesn't have the best tastebuds. At any rate, I dined here with the goal of meeting a coworker half way between our jobs. It was a funky route to get to the place but if you follow the "cafe" arrows, you shouldn't have a difficult time. I ordered a turkey and Swiss sandwich and literally got that. No lettuce or anything to add flavor (lettuce is .75 I think). I didn't order lettuce not because I was cheap, but because I ordered a salad to which waiter described as "mixed greens." I put some lettuce on the sandwich and dipped it in balsamic dressing that accompanied my salad. Prior to that, it was just a dry sandwich with cheese and meat. It was edible but not tasty-until I dipped it in balsamic of course. We ordered the five cheese Mac which is really pasta in cheese sauce. They literally put shredded cheese on top and melted it. I'd parked underneath the building, walked up through the central atrium, and then wandered through the building keeping my eyes peeled for signs pointing me in the right direction. (Hint: it's on the other end of the building.) For how small the cafe is, I found the seasonal menu to have plenty of options. I went with the Fajita Salad ($12.50; mixed greens, grilled fajita chicken, cheddar, grilled onions & bell peppers, tortilla strips, black bean pico de gallo, spicy ranch). It looked / smelled (AND TASTED) so good I had people at other tables asking me what it was I'd ordered. YUM - highly recommended. Service was exceptionally good. Will definitely be back! read more

I needed to organize a corporate thank you luncheon in Atlanta while living and working in Los Angeles. I took a bit of a blind leap of faith not being able to use anything other than photos and reviews but I cannot stress enough how pleased I am with how everything went. From the first call The kind folks at The Hungry Peach were nothing but courteous, professional and prompt. They even patiently handled me bombarding them with e-mails and calls while combating the large time difference of our locations. The food was raved about and was beautifully presented. The delivery driver, who ran into some issues when dropping off handled everything with a calm and positive attitude. He acted with the utmost courtesy and even in a moment of panic for me was patient as we worked out the snafu. I'll admit, I did not have the pleasure of sampling their food. But I know my clients were happy and more than that the experience of dealing with this business tells me that their standard extends itself out into the rest of their business and immediate community. The Hungry Peach is a little Diner in the ADAC. What's the ADAC? It's this white, industrial looking building with big cigarette looking-thingies on the front. Inside the ADAC, the cafe is hard to find. You might need to ask the receptionist where it is. The Hungry Peach serves your standard sandwiches, salads, and sides. It's your typical Southern lunch place. It reminded me of Joy Cafe. When you come in, you just find a place and sit down. It's not fast casual. They do have servers there. Just like the name implies, make sure to come hungry. Their portions are big. I tried their Chicken Salad Sandwich. I also ordered bacon and tomatoes with it. It comes on a multi-grain bread. I liked my chicken salad. The chicken chunks were huge. The flavor was good. I liked the extra bacon and the tomatoes I ordered. It felt like it could be messy, but the whole sandwich held together well. For my side, I tried their Potato Salad. They used mayo and other stuff to mix with the potato. Like the chicken salad, the potato chunks were huge. It was a decent potato salad. Since everyone was raving about their pimento cheese, I tried a bit of their pimento cheese appetizer. It comes with red pepper jelly and Challah bread. It was good too. I loved the smokiness and the tiny bit of heat from red pepper jelly. The pimento cheese tasted good. I didn't have complaints. This is a solid place to go to lunch. I guess if you're near here, you can venture here and try to figure out where it is. The location does hurt it. The chicken salad here is seriously on point. Get the plate (not the sandwich unless you just really want some bread.) It comes on a big plate with lettuce underneath and a bunch of fruit and the candied pecans (I think) are great. They also give you bagel chips to eat it with. Yum. I've also had the chicken pesto panini which is good. The pesto aioli is homemade and although I don't love mayo it's really good on it. Tabouleh also good. We got dessert once because they brought the wrong order for me initially, but they were quick to replace it and it was nice of them to give me the dessert. Peach cobbler cupcake was good but the red velvet cookie was pretty dry. Servers are very professional here, almost to a fault. They're a little too formal for me, but I guess that's fine. I think it's easiest to get here if you park in the back (drive along the left side of building back to where people are loading things) and go up the outside stairs to the second floor. This place isn't much to look at, and it's pretty damn hard to find. As others have said-- it's actually IN the Atlanta Decorative Arts Center, which aside from the giant artsy pole things out front, is pretty non-descript in and of itself. Once you're in the ADAC, you've still got about a 5-10 minute walk to the very, very, very back of the building, where the place is tucked away in a perfectly-fine but windowless and sparsely decorated space. The food, however, is OUTSTANDING. I got the curry chicken salad today and it was so phenomenal I almost ordered a second helping to take home. The sweet tea was outstanding and the service was great. If they had an easier-to-access location, the line would be out the door every day (and I'm sure they could get away with charging significantly more). Service was fantastic too. Reading through the reviews, I decided that I must try the chicken salad plate and the pimiento cheese. The chicken salad was amazing. I LOVE chicken salad and frequently order it when eating out. I believe this was the BEST I have ever had. The chicken salad plate consists of fresh greens, a heap of chicken salad, candied pecans, seasonal fruit (I had apples, grapes, blackberries, and strawberries in mine), and a delicious, creamy balsamic dressing. It also comes with thinly sliced bagel chips. The salad was so good that I had one of those moments where I wished I had a bottomless gut so I could devour it all, and then ask for seconds.... The pimiento cheese was pretty darn good also. Came with red pepper jelly and wedges of bread toasted to perfection. For the chicken salad plate and half portion of pimiento cheese, I only paid $15.
