Original size of turnover is a 5 x 3" rectangle flaky Lots of people trying to get this great deal so be early. They do not however sell their cranberry walnut bread half off but it's usually gone by the time you get there anyway so no worries! If not for the EXTREMELY friendly staff and clean, welcoming ambiance, this would have been a one-star review. If the portion-price ratio improves, this could easily be a 4-5 star establishment. The bakers are focused and committed to their craft, clearly. The wait staff is very respectful and well experienced, cordial, and accommodating. While waiting for our table at the Corner cafe, which conveniently shares space with the Bread Company, we took the liberty of looking at the large selection of baked goods and breads they had out on display. Right as we were in line to buy some sweet treats, I got the text our table was ready. By the time we got back in line, some of the breads and croissants were already cleared out. Of course there were still plenty of other greats options we indulged ourselves on instead, we now know not to make the mistake of waiting to order it for later. We really enjoyed their croissants, sourdough breads, rosemary buns, zucchini carrot cake bread, and so much more. The prices are very fair especially for how presumably fresh everything is especially with the large kitchen you can see while waiting in line. The staff was nice even after taking care of a long line of patrons. Overall, this is a quaint Greek bakery that I would love to come to again. read more

I just stopped in on my way home from running errands and bought a cheese and chive bun and a cheese (something) that looks like a croissant. I could not see the filling so I thought it might be a Swiss cheese savory croissant but it was cream cheese! They had a nice selection of croissants and I saw some pretzels and baguettes. Brunch chaos... I have not patronized this great place for over 15 years for no reason I can think of except opportunity. Brunch was nice. Unfortunately, I came after church and it was busy. I was seated in a two top facing the door where the AC was blowing directly on me. At some point, someone turned that off which I was most thankful about. Service was wonderful. My brunch was delicious. No complaints. once again, I think people are doing the best I can with what they're given. I guess we have to adjust our expectations despite the fact that it may be Buckhead. My brunch was nice. Shows how popular they are. The lady in the front was... so... slow. There was one customer in front of us when we got there. By the time it was our turn, there were 4 people behind us, and the lady took for.ever. to get everything. We got: -Cheese pocket: was good. Very doughy, but not crispy croissant texture. Texture was heavy, uncooked (not in a good way), too doughy. It looks like a croissant dough, but it's not as light as that. They were generous with the cream cheese inside though. Usually most places are not so that was generous with their fillings so that was good. -ham and cheese croissant was probably our favorite. Croissant texture was way better than cheese pocket. Worth it. -chocolate chip cookie looked like a scone and looked dry, but I was delightfully surprised. Slightly reminded me of nyc's levain cookie which is always a compliment. They were very very generous with chocolate chips, again that is a plus. -pear danish: eh. Whatever. - chocolate croissant was good, great croissant crispy texture. Worth it but not that chocolate-y Overall, pastries were good but not worth going out of my way. There are bakeries in Atlanta that do croissants way better. These guys are never ever open on time. Their hours state they open at 6:30--yet every time I go to pick things up at 6:30--no one unlocks or opens the door until 7:00 or later. Unacceptable. Service from the hostess to server was great until your half way done with your meal, then your left waiting for a long time. The Yellow Fin Tuna Bahn Mi sandwich was amazingly delicious! The bread is pressed and was so crispy good! The tuna was seared perfectly. There was a spicy mayo to add a little kick and it wasn't over bearing. I also had the salmon the kale salad. Mmmmmm ... I love the smell of freshly baked bread and you can get a yummy whiff of this stuff as soon as you get out of your car. I'm not a fan of the Corner Cafe portion of the restaurant (which comprise most of the other reviews) but I am a HUGE fan of the Buckhead Bread Company. On two separate occasions this month, I visited the bakery to get the Chocolate Decadence Cake, the Strawberry Shortcake, the Carrot Zucchini Muffin, and the seasonal Pumpkin Raisin Bread. All very tasty. And I would order all of them again in a heartbeat. For the first visit this month, I got the Chocolate Decadence Cake - I got this last year, too. This cake wins the prize for presentation and rich OMG(!!) taste. It's a baked flourless chocolate that tastes like a truffle (yeah, it melts in your mouth ...), with a beautiful display of fruit garnish on top. I got the small cake which is 6" round and could feed 8-10 people if you cut small pieces -- I think small pieces are fine for this kind of cake b/c it's so heavy & rich. Cost is $21. For another birthday, I got the Strawberry Shortcake which was highly recommended by the bakery. Presentation was nice & simple (not as showy as the Chocolate Decadence) and OMG delicious, too! This cake was definitely lighter than the Decadence but much sweeter than your ordinary shortcake -- that's because their yellow cake is soaked with threemilk so it's like a Tres Leches version of the strawberry shortcake. Yummo! I had gotten the small size (6" round) which is slightly more expensive at $24.50. Again, I think the small cake is enough for 8 people. Check out my photos. read more

I've been going here for 7 years and I have to say this place is going down hill. Last week the service was terrible. My server just disappeared and the manager had to become my server, that's off course after they brought me the wrong meal and then they never ordered the right one. I just sat there. It wasn't just me, the tables around me mysteriously lost there waitress too. So I've come back a week later to give them another chance. The service is better but still not that great. I was intrigued as I passed this place, not by the Corner Cafe it was attached to. I noticed Addy C.'s review and was even more excited to try some of the breads here. When I walked in around 2:15 PM, the bakery display was largely cleared out, as their closing time is 3:30. I noticed the donut croissant and the chocolate croissant, as I was craving that flaky and buttery goodness. I ended up ordering the chocolate croissant. The guy behind the counter suggested the chocolate croissant, which only affirmed my decision. There is also a coffee bar separate from the bakery, which I believe may be part of the Corner Cafe. I keep associating the Corner Cafe with the Corner Bakery, which is not the best association. I got my baked good to go for back in the office and was too tired to take it to the small microwave in the break room so ate it as is. And it was everything i wanted and more. Buttery and flaky and perfect, even cold and slightly squished from my purse. I am so down to make the over a half mile walk for this again, even if it ruins my diet. The customer service sucks... we waited to be seated for 30 mins when the place was not full at all. Then we are seated and wait another 20 min just for no one to come to our table. Another couple that was waiting with us in the lobby area was sat after us and immediately upon seating, their server appears. Still no one comes to our table. Another table is sat and their server appears... all this time these servers walk past and never say; "someone will be with you or ask "has anyone helped you." NOTHING! We have to ask a server to get someone and then when she comes... we aren't given the bread that ALL TABLES get, I have to ask for the manager. Well, she has a calculated process that includes refusing to hear the concern nut she immediately comes and gives her "script" dismissively and she says, "I can take your order." She doesn't offer any compensation so much as drinks or anything... she acts like giving us the bread that all the tables get us her way of making up for the poor service. When you walk in, the bakery is on the right. It's fairly small compared to the restaurant, but you can go there just to pick up the baked goods you want. They do also do lunch as well as breakfast. It was packed when we were there. They have a coffee bar so you can sit there or order something to drink while you are waiting for your table. Lots of fresh fruit and the food is prepared very well. Had the Chicken and Waffles. This meal consisted of one crispy fried chicken breast on a fluffy Belgian waffle topped with cheddar cheese and applewood bacon with spicy syrup. read more

I've been coming here for as long as I can remember. The food is on point, portions are big, and the staff is professional. From my experience, Buckhead Bread company is on the pricy side compared to most breakfast spots I've been to, but it's worth it. I have never sat in to eat here it was a first time. The Walnuts chocolate chip cookie are the most delicious cookies. They have a list you can write your name on to get some if they are already out. I will stay in the area when that happens. I had the shrimp eggs with sweet & spicy sauce on top. Grits were made of corn. The bread was quite lite & good. The muffins that they sometimes give as complementary are just great. The Panos Private coffee came COLD. The milk was ice cold didn't even have to pour it to notice. Overall servers were trying there best. It was a busy day. Didn't make reservations but the wait was about 20 mins. The parking is very limited. Noticed a lot of old ladies getting dropped off. This place might have been a three for me had my friend not been working here, but I have to admit I did enjoy this place everytime I went there. If you're looking for a meat and potatoes kind of place for breakfast or brunch, this is not your place to be. The food here is a bit nicer, and prices a bit steeper, but well worth it. The bakery is pretty rocking too. They have some great breads and pastries, and they had a red velvet cupcake that made me sit up and beg for more. I could almost fill up on the bakery and skip the restaurant altogether. Of course the service was dead on since my friend was doing it up, but even when she wasn't there, the servers here are friendly and helpful. If you're looking for a nice breakfast/brunch this is a nice little joint to check out. The menu isn't huge by any means, but anything you order is sure to be tasty. read more

Buddy of mine and I were in town for the weekend and had just arrived when we were looking for a place to eat. We were driving around getting our bearings and we came across this location and decided to stop in. We walked in and were seated right away....after taking our requests for tea and soda, I took a look at the menu and decided on the veggie omlette with Blue Cheese grits...my friend wanted to try the French Toast with fruit compote. A short while later, our order came out...my eggs were good and the grits were interesting (having never eaten grits before, it was an interesting experience, especially since these were flavored with Blue Cheese). My buddy said his French Toast was good but the combination of the syrup (in the toast) and the compote made his a little more on the sweet side.
