Maybe top 3 experience I've ever had. Comparing to Charleston, Savannah, Chattanooga, Memphis. We came last year Valentine's weekend with less planning and sat at the bar. Cocktails solid, we ordered a couple of appetizers and were underwhelmed. The cold sausage spam like substance was off-putting and we left. This year I'm so glad we came back. Honestly outstanding filet and salmon. The best piece of fish I've seen. Thick and not overdone. The steak was maybe the best I've ever had. Tender. Not oversalted/the chef clearly doesn't smoke which I can tell. The broccolini were beautiful - smoky flavor and crisp/not overdone. Beside myself this is better and more classic dining than many of my favorite options in Chattanooga with Michelin nods. Kudos to Sam. So impressed. We'll be back. The fries even were just out of this world. Bravo - keep it up. The venue is amazing and having a stellar restaurant makes this place a MUST. Chef's kiss - bring em out they deserve a hug! read more

Our flight came in late but the restaurant was kind enough to hold our table until we could arrive to the resort. Brooklyn the hostess was sweet as could be and explained the meats that were on display in the dry aging cooker as she seated us. Nico was a perfect server, available but unobtrusive. We shared amazing oysters, followed by the dry aged ribeye special and rumbledethumps - I need to learn how to make these!! A beautiful bottle of wine complemented our meal. Finding a memorable upscale dining experience in Georgia countryside is no easy feat. Aside from endlessly boring, synthetic, fast food boxes, the only decent meal is usually a local BBQ joint. Yet, things are finally starting to change and Auld Alliance is one such example. Much like the way it is in Scotland, where countryside is filled with incredible dining experiences, Auld Alliance presents a meal to remember in a traditionally elegant atmosphere. With Scottish motifs throughout, the menu is heavily oriented towards game like quail and boar, along with venison and aged steak. The team, like the bartender Carrie, are simply amazing and attentive. It's a level of professionalism and attention to detail that would have been impossible to imagine just a few years ago outside the bigger cities of the state. The quail is phenomenal, delicate and flavorful. The hand cut fries here are maybe the best out there. Sides like rumbledthumps are a must. Filet mignon is spectacular. Some of the prices are a bit excessive speaking relatively to other statehouses in the state, but the quality is there. Thus, Auld Alliance is a spot that's worth a detour and a must if in the area. read more

We come to spend our 3 yr anniversary and was let down !!!!!! Overpriced as hell !!!! food wasn't that good We got the duck and filet , portions was small , fries are like potato wedges and way over salted , oysters was the smallest I've ever seen and was very overpriced for 6 ! They didn't even get the oysters off the shell , we had to scrape it off ourselves, asked the waiter what the deal was and he said he will ask , got told we was in the best seat in the house , we got sat right in front of a stair case ! For a restaurant out in the boonies I don't know how they stay open with these prices ! If you want something worth this price I would recommend canyon grill or the Craig !!!! read more

Fantastic dinner!! The views out the windows are stunning and sets the mood for a great meal. Food highlights included: Boudin Blqnc, Beet Salad, Rumblethumps and the Laphroig Washed Dry Aged Ribeye. Service was technically correct, but was not very warm and friendly. Will definitely return and can't wait to have drinks at the outdoor bar overlooking the valley. read more

My husband and I ate here for valentines dinner. They had a special prefix menu which we're usually generally skeptical about. However the service and food blew us out of the water. From their house made focaccia to the perfectly cooked New York, everything was spot on. Although it was foggy outside, the views were still mesmerizing. This place is spendy but worth it for a special occasion. read more

Great food. Ordered the bison and it was as good as I expected. This restaurant promotes their ribeye's having a lot of fat but I do not want fat. Marbeling in a steak is good but not the amount of fat that I saw in the ribeyes. Would definitely go back and try other dishes and would recommend that everyone give them a shot. I doubt you will be disappointed unless you get a fatty steak. Ambiance was perfect. Service was a little over the top but I'm not going to fault anyone for trying hard to do a good job. 10/10 will dine here again!! read more

Our experience at Auld Alliance was exceptional. From the food to the service it was a 5 star experience. My wife I travel extensively and have dined at the top restaurants in many major cities, but this hidden gem in the middle of nowhere lived up to them all and exceeded most. We started with the lobster bisque. My wife had the filet which was seasoned and cooked perfectly. I had the bone in Ribeye which was debatably the best steak I've had. Perfect cook and the quality of the actual meat was extremely high. We had the broccolini and rumbledethumps as sides. The later was a standout for sure. Samantha provided wonderful service and the ambience can't be beat. A must visit for sure! read more

Our family went for my wife's birthday. The food was good. Not great but not terrible. Our waiter was very knowledgable. They brought bread and we ordered an appetizer. Went through that relatively quickly and just asked for more bread to pick at while we waited on entrees.This is obviously not somewhere you go expecting it to be reasonably priced but the fact that they charged $5 for the extra bread just seemed ludicrous to me. Seems like you're paying enough to go here to begin with to not have to be nickle and dimed. And the bread was nothing special. Every chain steakhouse in the country has better bread and they don't charge you for more for it. I understand that resort is struggling but have a little decorum in your demise. At least the waiter told my wife Happy Birthday. read more

This restaurant is absolutely amazing! We just returned from a vacation to Cloudland resort, and every restaurant on the property is excellent. Auld Alliance was our most memorable meal that we ate during our stay. My husband had the filet, and I had the pork chop. Both entrees were simply fabulous. The sides were also delicious, and the dessert (Many textures of Chocolate) was one of the most delicious desserts I've ever eaten in a restaurant. Our server Nico was wonderful. His warm repartee made our meal all the more memorable. read more

We were staying near the McLemore Resort and decided to eat dinner here for my friends birthday. We did not expect the view when we entered the hotel. It was an amazing view of the mountains while having a fine dining experience. We were seated outside underneath roofing they had heaters above in case you get chilly. Our server Cassie was amazing she was very attentive and did a great job. She described the menu very well and made recommendations based on what we had a taste for. Even the drinks, my friends doesn't drink alcohol so she said they could custom make a mocktale just the way you want it. After going over the menu we decided on the ribeye for 2. All their meat is fresh never frozon they make all their sides and sauces in house. It was the best tasting ribeye I've ever had. We will definitely come back again! One thing to note is that this restaurant is more on the pricy side. read more
