Great evening dinner here. I think it was our best in Mentone. My burger was crazy good. After a day of hiking, I devoured it. Same with the salad. Excellent, fresh, good dressing. My husband had the special and really enjoyed it. We were in the back room which felt intimate. It was a small restaurant but there are two separate rooms. The waitress who helped us was attentive. This charming restaurant is located in Mentone, which is on the top of the mountain. We drove up from Ft. Payne and the view on the drive was amazing. The inside was nicely styled and felt comfortable and home life. We have a table in the corner and it felt cozy. There were a few families and a couple of couples having dinner. The service was great. This was the beast meal we had in the area. The burgers had great flavor and were well prepared. The fries nice and crisp. The Caesar salad was likely the best one we have ever had. The dressing was made in house and had just the right amount of tanginess. I can't say enough about this amazing little gem!! We visited on a Friday evening, and had a truly spectacular date night experience. Our server was super warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and did a terrific job. I'm so mad I can't recall her name. We had caprese salad (made with wonderfully fresh ingredients), and scuppernong bruschetta that was out of this world! My husband had a cheeseburger with fries that he thoroughly enjoyed, and I had perch that was prepared perfectly. I just came back from Florida, and it rivaled any dish I had there. Lastly, the cocktails...chefs kiss!!! Excellent service, food, and craft cocktails - this place is a 10/10, and I'd make a trip back to Mentone just to pay them a visit. HIGHLY recommend!! read more

My wife and I had the pleasure tonight of eating at Elevation Bistro. We were going to sit at the bar because we couldn't get a reservation for the time we needed, but the owner seated us after only a 15 minute wait, at a table for 2 that he reserves for "emergencies". He was most gracious, and our server, Andi, was phenomenal! The first surprise was that the water tasted so good that we didn't need to get our usual sweet tea! We got the ciabatta bread and tempura fried mushroom appetizers...both were tasty. My wife got the red snapper with grits and I got the Tuscan pasta with shrimp. Both were delicious, with ample portions. The atmosphere was quaint and simple and the bill total was approximately $105, before tax and tip. Overall, a very pleasant experience! read more

I wasn't blown away by the food here, but maybe I'm just picky. Of note: The fried green tomatoes were fried red tomatoes. The caesar salad was far too overdressed. My burger had a weird spice to it and was overcooked. The "house cut" fries were, I'm 99% positive, straight from a bag. Better half's chicken was okay but covered in far too many capers (and I love capers). Service was fine, this is one of the "nicer" restaurants in town so keep that in mind. For Mentone, I'm sure it's fine. For someone who's eaten elsewhere...meh. read more

We had an amazing dining experience at Elevation Bistro! We were first time visitors to Mentone and only had 1 night planned for dining out. I am SO happy we chose Elevation Bistro. The restaurant is small and the ambiance was perfect for date night dinner. We started with drinks. I got the French 75 (perfectly made) and my husband had the lager beer. Everything about our food was delicious! The salads were so fresh! I had the arugula salad and my husband had the chopped salad. Both were well executed. The salmon with turnips and greens was perfect and my husbands pork chop with chutney and collards was scrumptious. Dessert was apple bread pudding. Maybe one of the best made bread puddings I've ever had. I loved that everything was locally sourced and can't emphasize enough the freshness! The chef of this restaurant knows how to use ingredients and balance flavors. The service was spot on. I have nothing negative to say. Choose Elevation Bistro when in Mentone. What an awesome find (that was suggested to us by a different dining app)! First off, this place is located in a dry county. So no cocktails, beer or wine. So know that when coming in. Second, they do farm to fork. They give credit to the farms where to food came from on each menu item. They keep things simple and let the food speak for itself. They rotate their menu by what is in season and what their farmers can supply. We stopped by on a Sunday evening driving from Chattanooga, TN. It was about a 45 min drive and to us, well worth it. They do get busy, so suggest you make a reservation ahead of time (we did via another dining app). We arrived about 10 mins early and they already had our table ready. Due to the current health concerns they print menus everyday and already had ours at our table. The staff was in masks and cleaned/sanitized after other guest left. I have never been to eat in Mentone and decided to give elevation Bistro a try. To say that we were blowing away would be an understatement. Nice quaint little restaurant, but the food was amazing from start to finish. Our server Read was awesome. The ciabattaappetizer and the butter dip that came with it were spot on. The crispy tempura spring onions were the superstar surprise of the evening! Onion, ring taste, without the grease, and a very light nice flaky breading. We decided on a ribeye and the Snowy pan seared grouper. Absolutely amazing. We live on the golf coast of Alabama and have access to great seafood all the time, but I must say with all love and respect to those chefs, this was the best piece of group I've ever eaten in my life. Hit or miss restaurant. We have been there and been very pleased but this last time was the worst. Our waitress was mostly absent. We were seated on the patio and she came out of the door and announced across the patio to another table the status of their order and then later shouted across the patio to let them know their credit card hadn't cleared. We waited patiently for our meal and noted that she came through from the kitchen and placed something that looked like our meal on a table inside but then talked to the occupants of an inside table for several minutes so we assumed it wasn't ours. Eventually, the hostess scooped up the very same meal that had been set down by our waitress and brought it out to our table. It was cold. Not a good experience, unfortunately. This restaurant is capable of producing a really amazing meal- we have experienced it. Not sure why they are so unreliable. read more

My wife and I came here to celebrate our 36th wedding anniversary. We made reservations and were promptly seated upon arrival. The atmosphere was very tranquil and beautiful at Christmas time. We had an appetizer, salads, main entrees that were all delicious and served with proper spacing between them, which is big pet peeve if they are not. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. It was also very nice of the chef to come out and check that all was well. After enjoying our meal, we took home a delicious order of their homemade sweet potato bread pudding with ice cream on the side. We will always eat there when we stay in Mentone. Are here while in town for weekend getaway. Had a reservation and was seated right away. Small beautiful little place with candlelight and fresh flowers on tables. The appetizers I had were good. The butter served with the bread was fresh unsalted butter and I added salt and pepper to it as a personal preference. Marinated mozzarella was served beautifully and was more than we could eat. Chicken was tasty. Wasn't a huge fan of the roasted vegetables served with it as they lacked a bit of flavor. Husband said burger was very good. We ordered the apple bread pudding to go and it was good also. Prices aren't bad for upscale restaurant. Service was great. Menu selection was a bit limited and my husband had wanted a steak but it wasn't in the menu so he settled for a burger. Overall, it was a nice dinner and we enjoyed it. read more

We had some really good highs but really low lows when dining at Elevation. The staff was super friendly and the atmosphere was great. Drinks- Great! Bread- Some of the best Food- hit and miss. We tried the airline chicken which was perfectly cooked and some of the best restaurant chicken we have ever had. However, we also had the BBQ shrimp and that's where things took a turn. The concept is great however, it didn't have a side besides bread so it wasn't very filling for the price and overall the dish didn't taste very good. The shrimp was over cooked and the taste with the sauce was not good at all and ended up making some members of our party sick. I think overall, elevation is a fine place to check out but stick to the chicken, steak, or burgers. read more

I was making a comment that the salad tasted like it was just picked because it tasted so fresh- guess what, it was. Come to find out they get most of their products fresh locally, even the sausage. We were full with the portions we received, Kevin began explaining the way he made his cream brûlée, and we could not resist- we ordered it. The food itself was fresh and cooked very well. Their simple salad with radishes, pana grana, and white wine vinaigrette was delicious and balanced. I ordered a mixed drink which was very good for the price. My partner ordered a steak, and it was cooked well. The pairing of mixed root vegetables was not cooked done enough to my tastes, and needed more seasoning/fat. I ordered the almond crusted fish, and it was delicious. It did need some additional saltiness, and maybe some acidity. The sautéed chard was delicious. The dessert was a strawberry tres leches cake, and it tasted more like a pound cake soaked in milk.
