Delicious food, gluten free options. Great drink menu too. Definitely recommend this spot!

Very elegant restaurant with an amazing view. Restaurant offers inside and outside dining. Burger was amazing and cooked to perfection and paired with croft signature sauce. I wish they put more fries inside the cup. Groper bite was good. It just melted in my mouth. Appetizer was pricey and only came with 5 pieces of groper. Service was great. Food came out on time.

    Bucatini pasta + chicken!

The pasta was really good, but the chicken was way too salty for me. 10/10 dirty martini with blue cheese olives

Horrible experience with their burger and fries. We stayed at the hotel and ordered it for room service and the burger was so greasy and saturated.

Nothing short of Amazing!!! Especially the chocolate brownie, topped with real , mini honeycomb bites And the Buttermilk Pie topped with toasted almonds!

Left hand milk stout! Highlight of the meal!

We ate at Croft for breakfast and for dinner. For breakfast, I had the eggs benedict. It tastes like somebody went to put salt on it, and the top fell off. Replaced it with the mountain breakfast. The worst scrambled eggs I've ever had. How do you mess up scrambled eggs? Chewy bacon, not crispy. And the sausage was Jimmy Dean's quality. Now, even worse, the dinner. My wife had the steak au poivre. About $50. Supposed to be cooked medium. It was well done, and cold. I'm talking take a slice and put your tongue in the center of the meat, it's cold. I had the croft Burger. I asked for it medium well, and it came out well done. It was dry and, once again, cold! So our server took both meals back and my wife ordered the croft burger this time. This time the burgers were hot, however, well done and again, dry! The good? The seasoned fries are excellent! They do have left hand milk stout on tap. One of my favorites. Our server, Logan, was awesome! [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a beautiful, high end resort, with subpar food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Smokey Mac and cheese and Lump Crab Hushpuppies

Wow. What a beautiful experience at the Croft! Not only was the view stunning, but the food, service and drinks were delectable! For starters, we had the lump crab hushpuppies and smokey mac and cheese. Personally, I am not a fan crab--it's typically too strong and overwhelming in the seafood department, but these hush puppies were PHENOMENAL! The lump crab was baked into them (not just simply placed on top) in the most perfect ratio to the rest of the batter, not oily or too dense, and the remoulade topped it off perfectly. The Smokey Mac and cheese was cheese overload in the best way possible. The bleu cheese breadcrumb crumble and Smokey bacon were delicious and the perfect additions to the creamy sauce. The Grains Salad was fresh and crisp, and the soft boiled beet pickled egg was cooked to perfection. As for the braised beef short ribs...they were fall-off-the-bone and simply incredible. The demi glace was rich and flavorful, and the candied vegetables superb. Cheesy grits balanced out the dish and made for a hearty meal! For dessert, we got the Campfire Bread Pudding. The bread pudding itself was really yummy, with a nice crust and fluffy inside, however, it could have been much hotter (came out a bit cold/luke warm). Overall, it was good, but had a bit too much toffee syrup for my liking--a nice drizzle would have done the job just right. I likely would not order again. Not pictured is the Just Dance drink. Balanced just perfectly for a great taste similar to a margarita! The service itself was a bit slow, but I am sure they are working out the kinks to a new opening. Our waitress and other staff were great at being attentive, answering our questions and providing some wonderful recommendations. With the hotel being so new and us being one of just a few tables, the ambiance was very quiet and peaceful, with a beautiful view of the mountains and soon-to-be pool. I can foresee though when it gets more crowded that the ambiance will be much louder and likely echo-y. Overall, incredibly impressed with the meal and excited to be back for breakfast in the morning!

The service was amazing. We had the flank steak and braised ribs. Both were phenomenal! The cod bites for appetizers, hit the spot!

The Hatter Cafe - Chicken and biscuits with four pepper corn

We love The Hatter, and have eaten at this whimsical little restaurant several times and absolutely…read moreloved it! However, I recently reserved The Hatter for my great granddaughter birthday. The staff was NOT trained for a tea party, which is ironic. We had reservations for 3 adults and one child....we waited over 30 minutes to get served. They brought out water and never asked if we wanted our tea. We got our tiers, but they still didn't bring out tea, we had to ask for it. The food on the tiers were not good...like a biscuit with no jam. I had to ask for small plates and we had to pour our own tea. All in all, a disappointing tea party after our 2 hour drive! My granddaughter is only 2, so she had a good, special time, and for that I praise the ambience of this cute restaurant! But since the restaurant is an Alice and Wonderland place, the staff should be trained to hold an equally magical tea party!! PS. When we got the bill, they had over charged us by 42.00. Remember, before you tip, they add a tip too! The manager did correct our card for their mistake. Sorry, The Hatter, we were very disappointed. A tea party at an Alice and Wonderland restaurant should be MAD and crazy special!

Outstanding service, decor, ambience, etc. Great food, coffee, and tea at a very reasonable price…read more The service was prompt and friendly, and the gift shop had a multitude of treasures. If you're traveling anywhere near Mentone/DeSoto State Park, this is a place you don't want to miss.

I was a little hesitant since we were in a new town and everything was packed, but this place totally delivered. The omelet was fluffy and packed with flavor, and the French toast... well, I wasn't expecting it to be deep fried but holy cow it worked. Crispy on the outside, soft and sweet inside, and absolutely addictive. The service was quick and friendly even with the festival crowds, and the vibe inside is fun and casual exactly what you want for breakfast. Portions are generous too, so we left stuffed and happy. If you're in the area, definitely stop by. We even walked over to the Lodge Museum afterward and made a whole morning out of it.

We were visiting Chattanooga and thought it would be fun to check out the Lodge Cast Iron Museum,…read moreso naturally we ate at Big Bad Breakfast while there. It was a random weekday morning, so it was really quiet. Our waitress was super nice and attentive. It's a casual place, with lots of tv's. I had a hard time choosing between the Yard Work Skillet and the Cornbread Omelet, but I figured where else would I find a cornbread omelet? It was SO yummy. I got the bacon on the side because I don't eat it, but there was a lovely amount of veggies and just the right amount of cheese. The cornbread eggs had such an interesting flavor. I got the cheese grits on the side which were a little spicy and deliciously creamy. My gf got a breakfast plate and thought it was good. The crispy hash cake was ok but a little dense. I ended up eating her biscuit the next day and it was really good.
