Then, Victoria (primarily) did a fine job keeping up with our large group. It had gotten dark so didn't get full advantage of the nice view but the rustic feel inside was appropriate. I started with the tomato soup which had an interesting dollop of crab meat in the middle to jazz it up. Some got the bacon instead as first course & it was good (sans the jalapeño for me). My main course choice was the broiled snapper with mashed sweet potatoes & beans. Very tasty (though the sides might have been warmer). To close, a very nice pecan pie tartlet, I'll call it with ample whipped cream - right up my alley!

We ended up sharing a salad, which was delicious. It was had the perfect amount of dressing on it. We ended up splitting the bacon appetizer. The bacon was delicious the little biscuits that came with it were not my favorite. We ended up splitting the flounder which was absolutely positively stuffed with crab meat. It was so delicious. It was a smaller size portion, but we did split it and it was perfect enough because it was so buttery and delicious. We ended up getting a dessert because we were celebrating our 33rd wedding anniversary and we ended up splitting the fried apple pie, which I could've licked the plate. It was so delicious. It was a lovely evening. We sat out on the patio. Great food great service. It was really a special night. Everyone said happy anniversary is to us which made it extra special. Kind of wish they would've given me a glass of champagne or a free dessert for our anniversary but maybe next time. Cheers. $$$$

We entered the door furthest from the chapel, which turned out to be a side entrance. We were kindly redirected to the hostess. We were promptly seated and then greeted by Nikki. Sunday's breakfast is a buffet style of a very high quality and diverse, including European style items. The muffins and mini quiches were made with quality ingredients and had to be locally made from scratch. While I did not partake, my fav feature was the donut wall - a large wooden board w donuts on pegs. What a fun way to display a variety of donuts and be engaging for kids and kids at heart. And the Jittery Joe coffee just hit - right temp and flavor. What we didn't expect is the restaurant being open to the chapel's large foyer. We were seated so we could see the foyer and parishioners greeting each other before service. People also came into the restaurant to quickly say hi to servers and staff. At first it was a bit strange (I'm agnostic) but found it added to the warm and welcoming feel of the restaurant. I'm interested to eat lunch here next time we visit. Seems they have a diverse menu.

It was a little more busy when we came in but it definitely got awkwardly quiet closer to 1pm. They didn't have any music playing and the place is kinda big, plus noise tends to echo, so that made our conversation a bit more public than I would like. The church chairs also were kind of messing with the vibe. Looking back, I'm not surprised at all to find out the restaurant is affiliated with a church. But the food was great! My friend enjoyed her pizza and I liked my burger and fries. I think the burger could have had some more flavor to it and more cheese, but the bun was awesome and the fries were amazing. I'd definitely order the fries again. If you're looking for a vibey restaurant to have a private conversation, this is not the place for you lol. But if you're meeting up with a group or idk... are cool with eating in a quiet churchy atmosphere then this is a good place to go. The food is solid and our server was great. They also have their own parking lot, which makes things easy.

First the pancakes were amazing that malted addition was perfect. Not to over powering. The breakfast potatoes were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Scrambled eggs are often not good, but these were great. To the people cooking you did great. Our server was so nice and helpful. We split the dish since we weren't hungry and she brought everything on separate plates. Always checking on us and quick with everything. Massey's Kitchen we've already decided we're going to have one of our date night dinners with you to try more great food. Oh yea the place is very Charming and nice. Go and enjoy!

Massey's Kitchen is part of the Square One Group, a well established restaurant group locally and in this spot, Mediterranean fare is featured. You have an absolutely great setting, even in the dead of winter. In the spring and early summer, it's got to be absolutely stunning with their ability to open up the restaurant on multiple sides. We were there for brunch, and the mistake I made was selecting a rather "traditional" breakfast, which was nothing special, with the one exception being the malted pancakes complementing the eggs, potatoes and sausage and that one item made the platter all worthwhile. The grandchildren had blueberry, as well as chocolate chip pancakes, absolutely delicious. The star though was the breakfast pizza, which was both delicious and unique versus any other breakfast pizza I've had. Eggs and arugula were stars, versus what you typically get with a breakfast pizza, built around fruit(s). Service was impeccable, as our waitress recognized and anticipated challenges that sometimes come when you have so many youngsters at the table. I will be back, and I look forward to trying their lunch or dinner offerings.

We tried a few beers from Five Wits and per her recommendation got the creamsicle shake as well. Solid beverage choices. The shake tasted part float part milkshake and it was absolutely delicious. Would order again. The food on the other hand was a bit eh. We ordered the Asian q burger and the mushroom melt burger and it took quite a while for them to come out and when they did they had unfortunately been left on the grill for way too long and were charred and crunchy. One set of our fries was cold and the bun to burger ratio was extremely off. Luckily, the staff agreed that our burgers were accidentally overcooked and they remade them no questions asked. The remade burgers were moist and better but still not fantastic. They were just burgers with minimal toppings on them. Not really seasoned and the flavor came from the toppings themselves. The buns were still too big for the burgers so there was a lot of extra bread and they have potential to be great but they were just average. Would have probably been a three star review but the staff and drink selection really earned the extra star. Would go back to drink and maybe snack but probably not order a burger.
