Just had the best meal at JESSICA's RESTAURANT! Sis & I enjoyed lunch at this awesome quaint country setting with very inviting front porch! The hamburger was TO DIE FOR - thick slice ripe tomatoes, fresh crunchy lettuce, crunchy onions, and dill pickles on top of a moist and flavorful steak-like meat burger. The Reuben sandwich was also a hit, with the right amount of meat to sauerkraut mix and REAL crunchy onion rings. And don't even get me started on the fresh cut fries and great southern tea with lemon! The best part? I'd like to say the prices - everything is super affordable! Jessica's Place in Delano is hands down one of the best spots to eat! The food is absolutely amazing, and the staff is always wonderful. They consistently go above and beyond to make sure customers leave happy and satisfied. Some of the highly recommended items are the Shepherd's Pie and the Country Fried Steak -- both are outstanding. The portions are generous and filling, and the quality is top notch. Everything tastes farm fresh and homemade; nothing feels reheated, and the fish is fresh with no frozen taste at all. My wife and I eat here at least once a week, and honestly, we wish it could be more often. Prices are also very reasonable, usually between $10-$20 per person, which makes it a great value for the quality you get. If you're in Delano, Jessica's Place is a must-try! read more

Good food, but the owner is a pack rat! The building used to be very nice, clean and lots of parking. Now, after additions and a growing collection of junk that has practically spilled over onto Hey 411, the place is an eye sore. Give it a try if you can find parking. read more

We stopped at this little "hole in the wall" place on our way to Gatlinburg. Just a convenient little place on the side of the road, but it did NOT disappoint. We thought we knew what we were ordering until we heard a table over from us RAVING about how good the chicken is. So, we ordered chicken and oh.... my.... goodness.... the chicken was perfect. Possibly the best I've ever eaten. The okra tasted like it just came from the garden. The biscuits were fluffy and amazing. My husband's slaw and mashed potatoes were absolutely perfect as well. The atmosphere here is amazing. We did not find one single thing that we did not like about this place. we will definitely have to come back. read more

Jessica's Place was an unexpected treat for breakfast. Most restaurants were closed as my wife & I were traveling through Tennessee on a Sunday morning. We both ordered the Farmer's omelette (filled with chicken tenders, onions, peppers, hash browns, and cheddar cheese). The Farmer's omelette was hearty and delicious, with great texture. Nice place off the side of the road. It's got that country look for sure, even had a little remodeling project going on out the back. It was a hot day, but the dining area where we sat was cool from what looked like 3 portable air coolers. The vegetarian soup was home made and the "All you can eat" fried chicken was a big hit at the table. She just kept bringing back plates with 2 pieces of chicken. Our server may have been the cooks daughter, but I don't know that for sure. I spoke with them both on our way out and just thought I saw similarities. The chicken was beyond dry and had the stench of old oil. The service took forever (45 minutes for the fried chicken to come out), the sides were served under temperature and the server though nice was extremely inattentive. as a starter my table ordered the spinach and artichoke dip, though the dip was tasty the chips were extremely stale and had no crunch left to them. initially, we were drawn in by the carriages after leaving the Amish market, believing that this establishment was associated with the Amish, after less than favorable experience, I began to look up this restaurant online and realize that it has ties two white supremacist groups. (do your research), honestly, there was nothing memorable about the place and the interior was not up to par in regards to cleanlines. i'm not sure how this place passes inspection. read more

Food is excellent! It takes time to cook an exceptional meal, but well worth it. Everything is cooked fresh, so realize your tasty chicken breasts may take 15 to 20 minutes, but they will be worth it. The Texas Toast is the best we've had, and being from Texas that's a big "atta boy." Salads are fresh and tasty and the desserts are absolutely amazing. My husband had the Shepherds pie with fried okra as a side, my teenagers had chicken tenders, a Mac and cheese burger and a side of baked potato. I had a burger with their homemade chips. If you're looking for a similar menu of White Southern American fare, their menu is about the same. Nothing was a let down! Even the sweet tea was perfect. The homemade salad dressings were yummy. The biscuits were soft and delicious. Even our 5 year old was impressed with her food. I have now updated my rating to 3 after another visit that was the exact opposite of my first experience. The staff couldn't be bothered for a smile or anything other than a "sure" response - the exact response I got from both waitresses.
