Brunch
Yoyo T.

They were able to serve Brunch at 4pm on a Sunday! And then brunch was amazing! Very tasty, fast service and fresh cooked (I mean pretty much ALL French restaurants are fresh cooked) nice waiter as well. Just I think they can make better croissants ! They open till very late at night on weekdays as well.

Selection of cheese (fromages)

This place is very generous with its servings. The cheese plater I ordered is probably the largest I've ever seen in a restaurant. The old couple sitting next to me ordered lamb shanks and the plate is huge. I can't speak for their lamb, but the cheese is excellent. Happy hour is a generous 4.30pm to 9pm. You can enjoy a large selection of cocktails for 5 euro as well as some wine. There is nothing negative to say about here really other than the time to make the cocktails is a little lengthy. Well worth it though

Amazing burger and fries.

However, the portions were more than expected considering it was gourmet. We couldn't finish our entrees. Good spot for French brunch as it is a top fine-food grocer and deli. Oh my goodness, what a find! We stopped here for no better reason than our apartment was right…read morearound the corner and we were in the mood for a nice French lunch. Such good luck! I started with the free-range eggs with mayo, and my wife started with the leeks with vinaigrette. The eggs were delicious, but the leeks may have been the best preparation I've ever had in my life. For our main courses, she had the egg muffin, and I had the sausage and mash. Our meal was superb. Whoever is in the kitchen has clearly learned the art of French cuisine well. Service was fantastic, the people-watching (we ate al fresco) was fantastic, and I simply couldn't think of a way to make this a better meal.

Luca was my server and he was very welcoming in hospitable to this weary traveler. I sat on the patio towards the end of the row so I could take in the atmosphere and people watch a bit. Luca Recommended a meal with a mashed potatoes and sausage with French bread and salad and it sounded tasty so I gave it a go! All the flavors went well together; mashed potatoes were well seasoned the sausage had a good flavor, and the salad with the vinaigrette added a crunch in an extra flavor as well. I drank a French hard cider while I gobbled up my meal, which also was new for me and tasted great after I was done my meal. Luke brought me a shot with rum and some other ingredients, including lemon that definitely hit the spot after a good meal.I recommend Brasserie Belanger for anyone near GDN Train Station that enjoys great food and patio dining. Cheers!

Café Mademoiselle was nearby, had a sidewalk full of diners, and I grabbed a table quickly, fearful of getting shut out of lunchtime offerings entirely. I should know better than to order a salad in Paris. Not that they'e bad, simply that they're quite different than California salads. Quite different and not as appealing in my opinion. But another dish was also ordered at my table, an unusual choice for the two of us dining there. It was a special of the day, Araignee de Porc (23€), and not something I'd personally have chosen. It was delicious. French chefs know what to do with this cut of meat (pork) and I was wowed. The salad (Salad Nicoise, 23€) was almost forgotten as the pork dish took center stage. Service here is terse. The restroom is down a steep flight of stairs. The place serves many tourists, and does so in a manner that doesn't inspire one to harbor overly fond memories. But here's the recipe for success: find out what the chef's special is that day and order that. That's how you do Café Mademoiselle.
