What a let down after reading the other reviews and looking forward to a great lunch on our last day in Paris! Ordered the French onion soup and burger/fries for lunch. The onion soup was very dark brown (see pictures), as the sautéed onions had burnt and the soup was very dark. They didn't care to take out the burnt onions from the soup broth!! The burger was just ok, compared to other cafes in Paris we tried, it was nothing memorable. Just a very plain and bland. Meat quality was just OK. The dessert and tea was great so my rating would have been higher. However, The service is horrific. Takes forever to have a waiter/waitress come take the order, give us the check, and swipe the card for us to leave. Each person we asked kept passing us from one worker to another. They "seem" occupy in the corner... just prepping tables and walking around but didn't notice there were 5 or so tables in need at all times. I can see the frustration in other customers. I enjoyed the petit breakfast for brunch and I got a lot of food for 13.50€ including coffee and orange juice. The decor is very vintage Paris style. Very few tourists here. Being in our very first trip to Paris we stumbled to this cafe restaurant as our first stop of our trip. When we walked in you automatically felt welcomed. You can tell this was a local spot by everybody around saying hi to each other. Our waiters name was Minh who was very friendly and made you feel welcome and the best part spoke English. The meals from the chicken club all the way to the lamb with mash potatoes was to die for. Drinks are at a very good price, food as well. Overall atmosphere you felt like a local. If you are like us that likes to escape the touristy parts and feel like a local you have to check this place out. You will probably meet Minh since he is the owner and he will treat you like family. Not only is Minh a great server but the rest of the staff as well they were all very friendly. read more

This corner café was a staple for my Parisian friend who studied at the journalism school down the street, and I can see why. It's cozy in the winter, charming all year round, and tucked away from the busyness of Châtelet but still centrally-located. I've come here for summery cocktails with girlfriends (their happy hour's great and the cocktail of the day is usually a good choice), rum or whisky grogs when losing my voice or fearing a sore throat, and for drink dates that turned into dinner. I'm not sure I'd give the food 3+ stars, but I may not have picked the right dishes. Last time I went to L'Imprimerie, my friend ordered a burger and was very happy with it. I ordered the chicken club sandwich, and was not impressed. The chicken was breaded (why would you add more starch to a double-decker sandwich?) and the whole thing lacked flavor. The fries were okay, but only so, and the side salad had as much flavor as the sandwich. I'll come back any day for the drinks, and just may try a dish that's more traditionally French. read more

We ate the lamb leg and steak for dinner and finished with the chocolate cake for dessert. Everything was delicious. Outdoor seating was perfect on this quiet street. They even gave our 14 month old daughter a little wrapped cracker to snack on as we waited for our meal. Their are no high chairs, but they were very kid friendly otherwise. Outstanding food, but overworked staffed. Probably the best cafe food I had over the course of my week in Paris, but our waitress would often go MIA for large amounts of time. Ate here twice while in Paris last week. On my first visit I ordered rigatoni with prosciutto in a white cream sauce with a hint of pesto - excellent! Also tried their chicken breast, which is braised in a light white wine sauce with a tomato and eggplant tower that was garnished with pesto and mozzarella (with fried zucchini chips on the side. Very good! Their cappuccino is at the top of my list if you compare them to other cafes in Paris - and if you like creme brulee, give theirs a try. Just be prepared to share it with someone else. Their portion of this dessert is about twice that of what you receive here in the U.S. Service here was good and the staff is very friendly and helpful to visiting Americans. They are fairly busy during happy hour and on weekends, so if you want a table on the sidewalk you should plan ahead. read more

Great little corner bar. I happened to stay in an Airbnb on this street and came here for drinks a couple times. They have a good happy hour, their service is quick and friendly and the half charcuterie plate is plenty big for a snack for three. They have a decent happy hour but their options are limited. The beer and appetizers were good! The restaurant didn't have any heating and being that it was cold and raining it was a little uncomfortable. Their pricing is perfect for a nice lunch! Great restaurant that is actually open continuously. Fantastic cheese plate is big enough for four to share (though two of us made a fair sized dent). The specialty risotto was just ok, but the crime brûlée (shareable for two!) was great and it was hard not to order all the desserts on the menu. Best was the service with helpful, fun service staff. Not in any hurry, but fairly attentive. We went on a Sunday at 8p and it didn't fill up until about 10. Happy hour (5-9pm) drinks for 5 euros is a *steal* compared to what we've been paying all week! The three course lunch meal was beyond worth the 25 euros! Delicious! As soon as the staff saw how quickly I was eating, they knew I was American! I was under a time crunch and they met my needs! In Paris with our two teenagers, we have tried a few local bistros. Both of the kids have taken French in school but are not fluent. We always greet our servers in French and politely ask (in French) if they speak English. Unfortunately, we had a less than friendly waiter at this place. He did not write down our order and, of course, it was not correct when it arrived. He never came by to check if things were all right. We dealt with it, but should have received what we ordered. Such a disappointment after reading good reviews onYelp. Hubby ordered lamb shanks and they were so tough he had to send back, the first time ever for someone who has been eating out for over 50 years. The waitress offered him a replacement meal which was deep fried goats cheese but the salad was just a whole bunch of crappy leaves, very unappetizing. My salad was Ok but by the time I got home my tummy was making the most remarkable noises. I was sick all that evening!
