I stopped in on a random Friday after taking the metro up from Gentilly to look for dinner. Nothing on the menu caught my eye and I saw the negative reviews about the food quality, so I kept it simple with some cheese and wine. My experience was pleasant, although the service wasn't as attentive as I'd experienced at other Paris restaurants. The ambiance was alright, though the tables were very close together. If it was a busier night I would see that proximity being very uncomfortable. Overall, a decent place to go for a carafe of wine and cheese plate at a reasonable price in Saint Germain.

This place is near the Danton statue from the French revolution at the Saint Germain neighbourhood. The saga continues with my tirade about the lack of seasoning in French cuisine. Service was really good. I had the steak haché with egg on top. It was cooked perfectly to medium but once again there seems to be a continued pattern of salt less meats in this country. We also had a cheese plate, which is really hard to mess up.

Looking for a last second spot to grab dinner we came across Le Danton. Most places were full and had wait times and we were really hungry so we stopped in. You could see the entire dining area from the street since the entire wall is made of glass. It was 20:00 and somehow was only at half capacity. Ordered a draft beer and it came in a dirty glass. There was some sort or grime around the rim of the glass. Ordered a burger and potatoes with the patty cooked medium. The burger came out well done. The potatoes lacked any sort of flavor and I had to toss salt on them. Honestly if this place was in the US I may have given it 3/5 stars but our dining experience all over Paris was magnificent. I would recommend that you avoid Le Danton unless you are really really hungry and have no place to go..

Perfect Omelette and french onion soup on a quaint Parisian corner bistro. Yes it was that good. Service was great and waiter was efficient.

Our original lunch plan fell through, we walked into this place without checking out the reviews, menu looked alright. We had the croque monsieur and a minced meat patty. All entrees come with potatoes and salad. The patty was tasteless, the croque was tasteless and severely burned at the bottom. Service was very quick and nice.

Decor and ambiance classical French bistro ( to this American). A little tight for seating but normal by local standards. On this Monday afternoon, we did well to get in early. This is a favorite of locals judging by the crazy long line that has formed while I write this. (They are not tourists for the most part.) Great spot for watching people as well as a lunch or dinner. For my lunch, the ribeye was great. 14 € and about 1cm+ thick, well marbled with fat, and prepared as requested - medium rare. The potatoes done very well. For my wife, the onion soup topped with cheese and bread presented well but was perhaps not made from scratch on site. Her 10€ ham and cheese sandwich presented well -topped with melted mozzarella cheese. As ham sandwiches go, quite nice. Service was fine. Especially given the rush hour crowd. Recommended if you get in early. Otherwise, watch wantonly as those who have enjoy their meal...

Very nice restaurant. Went there for breakfast the ambiance is very good. The price for the breakfast sandwiches are very reasonable.

Great service and delicious food for a very reasonable price. We've ended there randomly for a dinner and we've been positively surprised.

Food was pretty bad, not worth the money at all. Not a lot of space at the tables. The waiter was very curt. Definitely wouldn't recommend.

I couldn't tell if this was a real apple or some fancy French creation made to look like one - that's how real it looked! Only thing that we were missing was some good ol' milk! + Almond Croissant - Once again, delicious! Solid croissant and definitely a good grab and go candidate. = Citronnade - Was just OK. Lemonade that was on the watered down side, but was somewhat refreshing because I was dying of thirst. THE SERVICE ----------------------- - Employee who helped us with our order was friendly, but the cashier was a bit blah and not exactly the friendliest person, especially when we asked for extra utensils and napkins. THE SURROUNDINGS ------------------------------------ - Smallish, tight interior that you can dine in at, but don't be surprised if the next table is sitting on top of you. + There are also 5 outdoor tables on the narrow street. - Entrance is tight too. We came here for some coffee on a rainy afternoon, but were pleasantly surprised to see escargot on the menu too and figured we'd give it a shot. Coffee wise we got the vienna coffee which had chocolate inside. It was good, with a nice espresso flavor and a huge dollop of whipped cream on top. A nice pick me up for the day. The escargot on the other hand, was so fantastic. They were served all cute in their little shells on a tray, and bubbling when we first got them. The green sauce that they came with was fantastic, and the butter was also a great addition! This made for such a flavorful little bite - escargots taste like little chewy clams to me, nothing strange at all. It also came with a few pieces of baguette to soak up the yummy sauce. Service was friendly and the inside of the restaurant has such a nice vibe. I would definitely recommend this spot!

They have a clean bathroom upstairs, you'll just need to climb the staircase. We ordered the strawberry crepe and duck and asparagus galette bretonne. So there's actually a bit of a difference between a crepe and a galette. Crepes are usually sweet and made with wheat flour, while galettes are usually savory and made with buckwheat flour. Between the two, I enjoyed the strawberry crepe more, the strawberry jam made the crepe a delicious sweet treat. The flavors of the galette weren't as satisfying to my tastebuds, but I still enjoyed it. I would be interesting in trying other galette flavors next time. While my expectations weren't fully realized (I didn't LOVE it), I still enjoyed giving Breizh Cafe a try. I had a dessert crepe with bananas and ice cream (think bananas foster, Parisian style) and it was very reasonably priced and delicious.
