The basic breakfast (grande caffe (or hot chocolate), orange juice and croissant)
    Jen K.

We choose restaurants for all sorts of reasons and this one was chosen for its proximity to my hotel. On my last morning in Paris I wanted to have a basic French breakfast (coffee, croissant, orange juice). This cafe is centrally located on the busy Rue de Louvre and wasn't crowded, which you can view as a plus or minus. Service was... as expected. They tolerated my minimal French well and everything (food and the bill) was fine. There is indoor seating as well as an outdoor space that is enclosed by a clear tarp in the winter months to help retain some heat. They also had blankets draped over the chairs. There were many places in other neighborhoods or on side streets that were more charming, but this was perfectly adequate a quick bite.

Cute restaurant that opens early (my friends and I came here 8am from the airport). Friendly staff and delicious coffee. Started off with their yummy croissants and they paired it a small jam.

I stumbled on this place for my first real meal in Paris, and I am so glad I did! Now that does mean I do not have much experience in French cuisine, but as far as all food goes it was great. The Escargot was amazing; I just wish it had been served by itself instead of with the spinach and bread. I am not sure if I got to a genuine experience there. The Croque Monsieur/Madame was amazing. Ham and cheese will never been the same. I ate the entire thing and still wanted more! Wish I had more right now.

Cute, neighborhood bistro. Can't speak to the food--we only had coffee--but the service was friendly, and the location is great.

A nice little spot in the 1er arr. Good specials and salads. Free snacks if you order an alcoholic beverage. Friendly and helpful staff.

This is a unique dining experience for breakfast as it was a 2 course breakfast meal with orange juice. The first course was an omelet, potatoes, and salad, and the second course was a large fluffy pancake and side of mixed fruit. Everything was great! I also got an iced coffee and mimosa also which were very good. The staff is very friendly and laid back. This place is very charming and a cool vibe. I would definitely return and I highly recommend Eggs and Co!

The owner is straight forward to warn larger groups of the small tight spaces up top and wards off any NBA players without helmets as their is low clearance upstairs. The menu is all French and limited English by the servers but it's easy enough to navigate. We came with 5 for Sunday brunch and sat right away but one had to sort of share space at the table. We ordered mixes of omelettes and Benedicts. All came with nice small whole potatoes and a little sour cream. You can modify or add quite a bit. Eggs are your choice of style ultimately and apparently the brunch includes pancakes. We were confused by that and they come after you've eaten the other items. I'm not sure if we paid for that or not but we chose to move on without. It came with your choice of tea or coffee AND a small orange juice. The eggs were cooked very delicately and moist with cheese and good meat in the omelette. Overall it was a fine breakfast compared to croissants and coffee but a little expensive.
