This is my second ever review on Yelp and that should tell you it takes a lot to make me spend the time to write about a company I do business with. MyProMovers are the best and you should NOT think twice about booking them. Context: I was moving from Alexandria to McLean and had about 70 boxes, a heavy dining table, server, and pullout sofa couch. I rented a 16" truck and two helpers and to say I was impressed will be an understatement. Tony called me and let me know that they will be arriving early if that was okay and of course it was. They showed up and did not start charging me until they surveyed everything I had and all the three flight of stairs. These guys are strong and very technical which comes in handy when you have to maneuver your way around staircases. Tony was very professional and got straight to work. I did help to carry some boxes downstairs even though they insisted I did not have to. I figured it would be great to get some Saturday morning sweat in since I knew I would not have time for the gym. Great work out moving things down three flight of stairs. Tony was very smart and knew how to arrange all my things in the truck to make it into a single trip. They ask for permission before wrapping anything and explain to you if there is an extra charge. I was more than impressed. What really stood out to me was when I offered them food for lunch and Tony told me that he appreciates the gesture but cannot eat until the work is done since I was still on the clock. I was tired after the loading but these guys were able to drive to my new destination and unload everything within 3.5 hours before taking a bite of the food I offered them. Just to give an idea of all the things they moved: Wooden Frame headboard and footboard Queen size mattress and box spring Heavy dresser 65" TV, Entertainment center, Marble top dining table with 6 chairs, marble top server Refridgerator, two-night stands, and 70 large boxes. I paid less than $500. Mind Blowing I just got off the phone with Tony because I forgot his name(I know). I still have his number and he was extremely polite when he answered the phone and he even remembered my name. That is the kind of a guy he is. He is a professional and I am glad I chose MyProMovers. Do not go with any other company. You are more than welcomed to contact me on here and I will share further details. I never ever write reviews. But this company I would recommend to all family and friends. Booking them was simple and quick. Everything was done via text message. Our team leader was named Dennis. He and his crew were spectacular!!! 20 minutes after they arrived my husband was already impressed, and he has high standards for workmanship. We were moving from our 3rd floor 2bd/2bth apartment with no elevator plus a storage unit to our new 2 floor home. We were booked with a 26' truck for 6 hours. Dennis displayed excellent attention to detail and leadership skills throughout the entire. They worked extremely hard and very fast. (Our last move 4 years took 2x as long with less stuff.) Dennis knew exactly how each piece of furniture needed to be wrapped and positioned to removed from the apartment and loaded on the truck. He inspected all of the furniture before wrapping and after unwrapping. They provided all of the moving blankets and tape. The truck was completely filled and organized in such a way to maximize the all of the space on the truck. When we arrived at the house, Dennis toured three house with my husband to get the layout and the locations for the labeled items/boxes. They asked for the placements of each item they're unsure of. (If I move again, I'll remember to put a label in each room for their ease.) We we're very concerned about them damaging our hardwood floors. But Dennis had runners put down and even put sticky pads on the bottom of all of the furniture as it was placed on the hardwood floors. Our railings were even wrapped with a blanket to prevent damage. I noticed at the end that all of their blankets and runners were neatly folded and stacked back in the truck. This is efficiency!!! They did all of this work in 6 hours nonstop with no breaks or lunch. We provided Gatorade and water. And they declined lunch. Dennis and his crew were like machines!!! Super crazy!!!! My husband and I both agreed that this was money well spent!!! They were worth every dollar!!! I had a coworker ask me last night who we used to move. I found this moving service via Angie's List. I was nervous because it was my first time using movers, but it was a top-notch experience from start to finish, for an affordable price! They were a little behind in getting to the location, but they called me in advance to let me know, so that didn't bother me at all. In fact, I appreciated them reaching out as it gave me a moment to run a quick errand. I moved items from a storage unit into a condo building, and I had a fair amount of items sort of haphazardly packed (I had family help me move the items into storage and we are 100% not pros). But that didn't seem like a challenge for My Pro Movers. They worked quickly and efficiently to unpack the unit and properly wrap delicate items for transport to my new home. These guys are definitely trained professionals. I saw one of them singlehandedly wrap, and carefully flip over and load my very heavy, solid oak, 6-drawer dresser onto a dolly in one fluid motion! It took three of my family members and a sincere prayer to load it onto a dolly when we moved it to storage. Upon arrival at my new place, the team swiftly unpacked my belongings and were careful not to damage not only my belongings but the condo elevator and hallways! This building cares a great deal about potential damage, so having movers that know how to navigate that was a huge relief. I would *highly* recommend this service and will definitely look them up for future DMV-area moves! read more

BE CAREFUL OF STOLEN ITEMS I hired this company to move my furniture from one apartment to another. The movers were NOT in charge of moving my bathroom, which all 4 movers used and which had 3 expensive Cartier rings in it. When I went to move my bathroom after the movers had left, my $5,000 ring was missing. (Yes, we tore apart the bathroom drain just in case). The way the company handled this was DISGUSTING. The "Vice President" Daniel, refused to even speak to me on the phone and accused me of not even owning the ring and it not existing (I have a serial number and receipt to it). He concluded his movers had nothing to do with it before even hearing what I had to say. A police report has been filed and please be aware of this company!! They do not care about customers in the slightest. ***In response to the "Vice President's" post - The owner of the company NEVER spoke to me. It was always "he's out of office" "He can call you back" "He can email you". He never even talked to me about my side of the story. We also NEVER requested for them to pay for the ring. The phone conversation was recordered and I wish I could post it here so everyone could see the amazing amount of lies he is on here saying. I would never expect a mover to admit to stealing something so expensive. A "signed statement" from themselves saying they didn't take it doesn't really mean much, let's be honest. read more

We moved here from Miami and spent a good amount of money on a moving company. We had two pieces of furniture that would not make it up the stairs and we had to get a hoist. I called MyProMovers and Joseph came out that day and looked at what we had, the house, the balcony took measurements, spent a good 20 minutes assessing the job. Every other company gave me some quote on the phone, asked for photos, but not one of those companies sent anyone out to really assess the job. Not one of the other companies ordered a fork lift, they thought they would be able to hoist it up two floors. Mind you, one piece is a heavy sideboard from Belgium. Long story short, I chose MyProMovers, and I am so happy I did. They were incredibly professional, careful, respectful, prompt and they did the job Joseph promised. No mars on my walls, nothing damaged, everything done right. If I ever move again I would hire this company, as they do things right. I want them to be successful, just not so big where the quality will suffer. It was not cheap, but given the alternatives it was well worth the peace of mind and finally, seeing something done right. MPM did an amazing job on my move and I couldn't have done it without them! Getting an estimate for full packing and moving services was very straight forward and affordably priced. Day 1 - the packing crew was crazy fast, and at the same time very professional. Team of 5 guys did an outstanding job wrapping all furniture, equipment, china, kitchen stuff, etc. All was protected way better than if I had tried to do it myself. Day 2 - the moving crew, which was the same team, was very well organized and everyone knew what to do and when to do it. Everything went really smooth. Mike, the foreman was great at communicating with us as they were finishing loading the truck and getting ready to move to the new location. Offload looked effortless - everything was placed where I needed it to be placed while keeping great care of my newly painted walls and hardwood floors etc. Afterwards they followed up with me to make sure everything went smoothly. My concern was china and other fragiles so I unpacked those boxes right away and everything was wrapped with great care and arrived safe and sound. Cant say enough good things about MyProMovers! I recently moved from Herndon to Fredericksburg, and MyProMovers truly made what could have been a stressful day into a seamless, even enjoyable experience -- all thanks to Joao, Kevin, Brandon, and Johnny. These four incredible young men were on time, professional, kind, and genuinely fun to be around. Their positive energy never wavered, even while working tirelessly in extreme summer heat, packing and moving my belongings from a third-floor apartment to another third-floor apartment -- no small task! What really touched me was how patient and thoughtful they were throughout the entire day. They took special care with everything, but what meant the most was how they treated my cat, Zeus. They made sure he was safe and comfortable, carrying his crate gently to the car and then up to the new apartment like he was their own. Our experience with MyProMovers was fantastic. They called to inform me when they were leaving and arrived on time as scheduled. They sent three men since I told them ahead of time about some of the heavier items (roll top desk, king size adjustable bed, and other heavy furniture). Thank goodness because it took all three to lift them. They were hard workers, didn't take a break and stayed pleasant & professional the entire time. The loaded up the moving van with furniture from my home and moved my daughter to a townhouse with furniture for four rooms. Even though the furniture was heavy they managed to get it up the narrow stairs with two bends. They also loaded some furniture in a Uhaul for my other daughter to have. Finally they moved all the rest of my furniture from upstairs & downstairs to the main floor so I could arrange the sale or donation of those remaining items before my own move. Even though there were many moving parts they never missed a beat. All this in 4 hours without any damage! Outstanding! read more

We recently moved from Portland OR to Arlington, VA. All of our stuff was put into a storage area in Sterling, VA in two moving cages (like pods but literally a cage). We needed to get some boxes and furniture out for our apartment in Arlington. MyPRoMovers, in less than 24 hour notice, met me there yesterday morning! Talk about service and efficiently. MyProMovers helped me to move my house from a townhome to a single family house. They responded my quote quickly, explained things in great details, and booked the time I needed, which was a bit tight. My bad, I should have scheduled a bit earlier. The crew of 4 showed up on time to my house, and finished the whole move in 8 hours, which is a bit longer than I thought. The leader was good and had been working all the time. The rest, however, seemed not very well trained or coordinated, didn't use all the time well. We tipped them at the end. Found some stains and dens on the walls, as any moving occurs, which are patched by Ben, whom is responsive and very good. So appreciated to Ben and the leader's diligent work. One missing star since I think they still have room to improve. Will use them again, and hope get a well trained crew. read more

Thank you to My Pro Movers for making my move effortless. The first good sign was when Dennis and his team, Devonte and Yerzh arrived ON TIME. The move was not easy because I live on the top floor of a garden apartment. They had to move very heavy pieces of furniture down 4 flights of steps. In addition, they carefully wrapped my tall glass/wood curio cabinets with protective materials and blankets. I also had two tables with marble tops. They took care to protect those items as well. Everything arrived without any damage. The worst part of the move was the traffic on I-95, but they still arrived at my new home within a reasonable amount of time. The final bill was well within the cost range of the estimate I was provided. I am very satisfied with the customer service I received and I highly recommend this company. read more

Wow, such a great experience with mypromovers. If you're looking for an easy peasy moving process, don't think for too long and shoot them a call . I called them last minute after having a terrible experience with another moving company (BaKU MOVING). The booking agent ( Alisher Yavanov ) gave me an appointment promptly over the phone with few questions . The movers (Nazir, Carlos and Hasan) arrived on time, very polite and cheerful . They started moving so quickly with the big heavy furniture first. They know what are they doing. They wrapped whatever they move before going downstairs not to damage the stuff in a professional and efficient way. They are just best at what they do. I had a very pleasant experience with their service for my move. They are dedicated and pretty fast in loading and unloading. I am so thankful that, this company took my project last minute to help me out, as another provider had to back out due to some issue their end. So Ilias and crew came to me right after finishing a another job. Even though they are working on back to back jobs, I was so impressed with their dedication and hardwork they did. I had three movers last month move my one bedroom apartment to another one bedroom apartment. John, Oskar, and Baha were quick movers and efficient as they could be as neighbors accidentally took the elevator a few times. John mentioned at least twice that I had too much stuff and then commented on how I got too much stuff. My reply to him was "Yeah, that's why I hire movers." The comments didn't bother me too much as I just wanted to be moved quickly, and I think they did their best on that. Yet I did want to mention them as I can see the comments bothering other clients. I'd use them again and maybe be a bit more vocal to turn off the comments, but they did their best and were quick. I recommend them. read more

This company is great! I found them on Angie's List and they were the first company of 4 to reach out with a quote. Daniel was very friendly and helpful while scheduling. On the day of, the movers called and asked if they could come earlier than scheduled, which I thought was even better than waiting! They were both friendly, attentive, and asked questions to accommodate me and were careful with my belongings. There is a ramp and stairs to get to my place and they opted to use the stairs because they said it was a shorter distance & would take less time. They worked very hard and finished an hour sooner than anticipated so it cost even less than my estimate! I will use them again and recommend to others! read more

I rarely write a review. Just moved today from Reston to Bethesda. A 1-Br apartment with a fair amount of stuff in it. The total experience was amazing. I solicited quotes and although this was not the lowest, I felt good about the company from the interaction I had through the process and the reviews I read. The guys arrived on time and called to let me know they were on their way. They were very nice and professional. In the end, they did a great job and the cost was right where quoted. It took an extra hour because the walk from the loading dock to the apartment was further than expected and I had more things to pack than even I realized. I had good experience with My pro movers with reasonable prices for my move. They were very punctual, quick in responding and informative. I worked with Dan and Nick. From the beginning to the end, one or the other responded quickly. They also helped us with transport of our vehicles by giving information about a auto transport company and again with reasonable prices. Also, they were really good at communicating and very nice people. I was really happy and peaceful. The two movers took good care of our furniture while assembling as well disassembling and also fragile items. Amazing experience for a big move and quick delivery at the new place.
