I used to love this place. It was my go to for lens replacement. They seem to always care about my…read moreglasses and my satisfaction. Also, the prices were reasonable. During my last visit, for a prescription lens replacement, I was very disappointed. For a simple single prescription it was almost $200 for lenses only! when they were ready, I did not receive any call back that my prescription was filled and ready to be picked up. when I picked up my glasses. I was asked to try them to make sure I could see out of the prescription which I could. But in the past, the technician would sit with me and make sure that the arms of my glasses were aligned, and he would bend them to make sure I had a good fit, he made sure that his customer was satisfied . I didn't find that this past week. Basically they wanted to make sure I could see and sent me off on my way. They gave me two tiny alcohol eyeglass wipes, which were dried up when I opened them . this is why we see many stores closing...great customer service matters and if we aren't appreciated we shop online, and get better prices. I don't think I will be going back here. They've lost that personal touch, which I had appreciated in the past.

When I asked if they accepted my EyeMed insurance they say they did, but when they saw the plan was affiliated with Medicare, they charged me full-price rather than dealing with the paperwork it would involve. After sitting for quite some time while they waited on every other customer in the store, they selected what looked like children's eyeglasses for me to try on because my face is on the narrow side. Maybe I appeared disabled and not cognizant of what was going on. Due to my poor treatment, I couldn't wait to get out of the circus like atmosphere of the store and leave. I paid $140 out of pocket for a rushed exam and a headache that lasted two hours. All in all the experience was a nightmare and I look forward to buying my glasses at Warby Parker where I hope they will be more sensitive to me and my situation.

Just do it, you won't regret it. You can make easy appointments online and if the time doesn't work out, you can call them to ask! Right now I believe it's appointment only, the door is always locked so if you have an appointment walk, up to the door and knock. They take your temperature at the door. I would say that out of all my years seeing various eye doctors, Dr.Chiu was the most thorough. So my advice is to leave an hour out of your day for the appointment. After check in, the technician showed us the iWellness Retinal Exam (additional $49 on top of the copay) and it was super cool. We both decided to do it and found out that My eyes showed a chance of getting glaucoma and to just be watchful of it. The one thing that I do appreciate that I have never experienced is explaining to me what they are doing while they are doing it. During my exam with Dr.Chiu she admits that she is very conservative and likes to give you all the information so that you can make your own informed decisions, which I really appreciate. I prefer to get all the information versus none to little. I did learn a lot and you can tell she really loves what she does and cares about the patient. It honestly made me take a step back and review how I can take better care of the two eyes that god has gifted me. Book an appointment! You won't regret it!

He can make your glasses there and they'll be ready in a couple of hours. If he doesn't have your lens he will order them and will be there in no time at all. I just bought my first pair of glasses with progressives, yes we will all get there some time in our lives lol. He did not charge me for the new lens (based on a new prescription)! He robbed me of my savings by lying and telling me to pay out of pocket and he would fix my near and far sightedness while he took care of cataracts. He is a smooth talker but not to me, he was rude, he brushed me off. I kept asking about when I would finally see again and he kept telling me to come back and each time CHA-CHING, another copay. For what? My primary doctor told me she stopped sending patients there due to his UPCHARGES! There is nothing I can do.
