The new one decided I needed prism, and since then my eyes seem worse than ever. Also the exam seemed very very quick compared to past exams (like for the past dozen years or so). Everything seemed like an add on too, I am just not happy here and since there's a place in every town (and at BJ's) I am going to have to move on. Sigh.

My car was frozen and had to defrost which messed me up. So I got there and was told to be seated and that they would call me up when ready to assist me. They were too busy chatting amongst each other at the front desk. So 5 minutes later, I'm finally called up to check in. Then the rude lady at the front desk says "your appointment was at 7:15?" I then say yes, she then goes on to say "sorry we can't take you because there's a 5 - 10 minute grace period" in the rudest tone ever. I'm confused because I was never notified of this grace period and they took so long to check me in which I'm sure added 5 minutes to my arrival time. So then I try to explain to them that my car was frozen and I got here 15 minutes which is 5 minutes over the grace period. They then say no. I was so upset because no patient was inside there, I was the only patient there. So I pointed that out to them and they said it doesn't matter and their patients will come after. So I walked out after I was given an attitude and rude behavior, and told them to not even bother rescheduling my appointment and I will never return there. When I got back to my car, I had to wait for my car to defrost again. As I waited for like 15 minutes, I did not see any patients come in. No one showed up for 7:20 am, 7:30 am, 7:45 am What a joke of an establishment!

I personally went in for a contact lense exam but just needed glasses at the time. They withheld my glasses prescription until my second appointment when I specifically asked them where my prescription was. They then gave me the costs for my contact lenses but were incorrect with the requirements for the rebate. So now I am $200 short of the savings I was told I'd be eligible for for a 6-month supply.

I brought back a pair of glasses because they seemed wonky and the gentleman fixed them while I waited, they were improved but still wonky. I figured maybe it was me, maybe I wasn't giving my eyes a break while viewing a screen when I was supposed to so I kept using them. At my next eye appointment (I go somewhere else for medical reasons) I asked them to check and see if the glasses matched the prescription and they said they were way off, that because of astigmatism it's important that they be centered correctly. So, I called and asked for the owner to talk about the error in the glasses. She did not return my call for about a week and when she did she seemed really defensive saying that it is not possible that the glasses left there with a flaw. Then said that they had to special order the frames because I wanted old frames which I was very appreciative of and thanked her again for. She then said that it had been a year since I got the glasses to which I replied I think it's been 9 months but thinking, who cares, I wasn't asking her for anything. I was calling to let her know that the person working on the glasses may need some more training on centering glasses. And to order new glasses with the new prescription I just received (that I did Not expect free at this point but was hoping for a discount due to driving cross-eyed-ish for 9 months). She finally snapped "you'll need to bring those in." Obviously. I don't think I'll ever go back there, she obviously cares more about not being wrong than she cares about her customers.

I was seen within five minutes of my arrival, the newer services were explained to me which I really appreciated prior to going in to see the doctor, so I knew exactly what was going to happen, again the doctor was knowledgeable and informative and overall, she was really laid-back and supportive. The fact that it's very close to my house it's just a bonus. I would certainly recommend right after I told you to make sure you go ANNUALLY!

This is the worst experience I've had with them. Came to pick up my glasses from a quick fix and my…read moreold lenses were scratched, as if someone pressed down on the them. The manager (Val?) who was doing the fixing adamantly denies scratching them and instead aggressively blamed me for bringing in "already scratched" glasses. She said she will not admit to scratching them because she doesn't want to pay for the new lenses. Understanding but suspicious. I've been a loyal customer for 5 years and this is the treatment I get Why weren't the glasses checked before the fixing and if they were scratched ( which they weren't cuz I would have ordered new ones) - why wasn't this reported to me by the office beforehand? What's making me more confident that she scratched them is that this is THE SECOND TIME this has happened. But last time the lenses were brand new, so they couldn't blame me and had to replace them. The manager also didn't want to give me a supervisor's number, acting as if there's no one else above her who can help me. Instead, another staff member provided me with one. Her rude and defensive behavior made it even more suspicious. I contacted the supervisor Tarsha to investigate and hopefully find a solution. She promised to call back but didn't. I've struggled with contacts, changing prescriptions, and chronic dry eye, and her treatment has helped me so much (better quality contacts, special drops for a couple weeks, and thorough exams for accurate diagnoses and prescriptions). I've always come to Lickteig as an adult (previously the one in Natick) and have always found my experiences much better than anywhere else I've gone growing up! Plus the yearly optomaps are great to have for acute detection of any health risks or eye concerns. When I visited a few months ago for bad dry eye (successfully treated!), Dylanee (?) was so friendly and helpful at reception. Last weekend I went for annual exam for my contacts & glasses, and the receptionist was so efficient and friendly (girl with clear glasses and black hair). The staff were so friendly and empathetic. The doctor himself was knowledgeable, down to earth and truly cared about my eye.
