From the initial consultation, the staff were friendly, patient and understanding of my nerves. On the day of my surgery, Dr. Giles was great and made me feel comfortable the entire time. The procedure took less than 20 minutes and was painless. After the procedure I experienced very little discomfort and after a few days, any discomfort I did have completely went away. I experienced dry eyes for the first week, but since then that has also gone away. Being able to see is the greatest gift and I am beyond grateful to TLC for giving me the gift of eyesight. If you are nervous to get LASIK, know that I was too, but wish I hadn't been so nervous because in the end I had such a positive experience.

They performed preliminary exams to diagnose the possibility of surgery. After that, they scheduled the surgery date and, finally, on the day of surgery, they assisted me throughout the procedures and, most importantly, always kept me calm and confident about the surgery. The rest was just personal nerves, a fact beyond their control or mine. However, everything went wonderfully well and according to their plan. I am truly grateful for their professionalism and passion for the work they do. Congratulations to the entire team, especially Dr. Christina La, Brandy, the doctor who performed the surgery, and the friendly lady who performed the initial exams. "I'm sorry I didn't write your name, but you know who you are." Congratulations to the entire team! Excellent work and keep loving what you do. You are the best.

Base on my personal experience from consultation to recovery:…read more Consultation appt was done in Milford closer to home. Location was great, staffs were really friendly, wait time can be long as it seemed that they were trying to fit in as many patients as possible. Dr Patel was pleasant and the assistants were all helpful and friendly. However, I felt rushed by my appointment. The following up email from the lasik team was always very efficient and helpful guidance to what to expect, videos of the procedure, the dos and don'ts for recovery and other additional information were sent out by email. The lasik team was able to answer questions via email. I felt a bit more at ease knowing what to expect from the surgery. A month before the surgery date, I was informed that my doctor won't be doing my surgery. I have had to reschedule my surgery. It was a bit unexpected since I have already taken those dates off from my workplace. Anyhow, I was able to get my surgery done a week before my original appointment. It was done by Dr Brenner instead. On Monday of my surgery week, I received my surgery time and more details by email. Parking can be a pain especially there isn't any designated parking lot for Boston Vision. Meters are everywhere so you can park on the street. Upon arrival, there was a bit of waiting time. Then more testings done. Met with Dr Brenner after one or two testings. They finalized and corrected something important in the contract regarding of my right eye being the distance eye and left eye to be the eye for reading since I was doing mono vision lasik. Dr Brenner was nice and easy to talk to. Answered a couple of my concerns and questions. From then on, they asked me to sit in the waiting area and to be called in for surgery. Then an assistant came back and ask me to re do one of the eye exams coz they didn't get the results or right readings. Went back to re do the test then I was being asked to sit in the lounge room to be called for the surgery. Snacks and water or drinks were provided. As I walked into the surgical room, lots of bright lights above me. I laid down on a flat bed and immediately the assistants put some numbing eye drops on my eyes. Everything kind of just went really fast. One after an other. My left eye definitely needed more numbing drops as I asked. So they went to my right eye and started there first. I could see the whole procedure. Tool to open my eye lids and kept them open. I think they said it took about 12 mins for both eyes. But the most traumatic experience I had was with the left eye, I could feel the pressure pressing against my eye, the blurred vision as they lifted up the flap, the smoking or burning smell of the lasik when I stared at the green dots or light, the tool they adjust the flap back on.... I could feel it all. But the right eye not so much, just the huge pressure and the blurry vision. After the procedure was over, I was guided to the other room, and out the waiting room already. I was given written instructions to follow up the day of, the day after to a week of what to avoid and what to do for recovery process. Eye drop medication to apply, Artificial tear drops, eye shields and protection sunglasses too all including in the take home kit. The first night was the hardest, no face wash and avoid water in the eyes. Slept with the eye shield and applied eye medication. I would recommend to stick with everything that they told you! It's been finally a week, my vision is still a bit blurry but 20/20 vision according to Dr Patel (from the one week follow up appt). Needs to be patient with the healing process. Overall, I am glad I did it despite the discomfort and inconvenience for a couple of weeks or months.

Just do it, you won't regret it. You can make easy appointments online and if the time doesn't work out, you can call them to ask! Right now I believe it's appointment only, the door is always locked so if you have an appointment walk, up to the door and knock. They take your temperature at the door. I would say that out of all my years seeing various eye doctors, Dr.Chiu was the most thorough. So my advice is to leave an hour out of your day for the appointment. After check in, the technician showed us the iWellness Retinal Exam (additional $49 on top of the copay) and it was super cool. We both decided to do it and found out that My eyes showed a chance of getting glaucoma and to just be watchful of it. The one thing that I do appreciate that I have never experienced is explaining to me what they are doing while they are doing it. During my exam with Dr.Chiu she admits that she is very conservative and likes to give you all the information so that you can make your own informed decisions, which I really appreciate. I prefer to get all the information versus none to little. I did learn a lot and you can tell she really loves what she does and cares about the patient. It honestly made me take a step back and review how I can take better care of the two eyes that god has gifted me. Book an appointment! You won't regret it!

Before lasik: I got my consultation and they ran some tests on my eyes to see if I would be a good candidate for lasik. The entire consultation was around 30 minutes. It was very attentive, and I was never kept waiting. After Dr. Moreira had told me I was a good fit, Kathy helped me booked my appointment, and follow up. She sent me eye drops to pick up at my local pharmacy the day before surgery, and additional drops to purchase. She went over the price, and told me the payment would be received on the day of the procedure. She was extremely helpful! Day of lasik: Before getting lasik they reexamined my eyes one last time. Afterwards, Kathy sat down with me gave me a Xanax, and two Advil. She went over my post op instructions and handed me a bag of goodies! Kathy then guided me into the relaxation room where I waited to begin. A doctor came into the room and gave me some numbing drops and had me lay on the bed. The procedure was very quick and I was under the laser for less than 10 minutes. I felt some pressure but nothing was painful. After it was done Dr. Moreira helped me get up, she looked at my eyes, gave me sunglasses, and I was on my way! I did feel some burning sensation afterwards but once I got home it went away. I went home took the Xanax they prescribed to me and went straight to bed. I woke up with better vision without glasses or contacts! I took the eye drops as told and the artificial tears when my eyes are a little dry. Follow up appointment: The day after I woke up with great vision and drove myself to see Dr. Moreira. They reexamined my eyes again and told me I looked good. I have another appointment in two weeks! Overall, my experience was great. I definitely recommend getting lasik here. Everyone is great and makes you feel very comfortable. They took my nerves away! It is extremely worth it. Thank you Dr. Moreira and Kathy for such a great experience!

I've been a loyal customer for 5 years and this is the treatment I get Why weren't the glasses checked before the fixing and if they were scratched ( which they weren't cuz I would have ordered new ones) - why wasn't this reported to me by the office beforehand? What's making me more confident that she scratched them is that this is THE SECOND TIME this has happened. But last time the lenses were brand new, so they couldn't blame me and had to replace them. The manager also didn't want to give me a supervisor's number, acting as if there's no one else above her who can help me. Instead, another staff member provided me with one. Her rude and defensive behavior made it even more suspicious. I contacted the supervisor Tarsha to investigate and hopefully find a solution. She promised to call back but didn't.
