She shows you one brow so that you can approve before she moves on. She adjusts, and suggests as well. Me likey. They also use rose water after if you want to soothe the sting. Nadja really lives up to the name of Perfect Brows, she makes them. Thanks to her, my brows looked better then they had in years of hopping around at different threading places. She also seems like a genuinely nice person - she told me about her life in OC and such. From what I heard, she seems quite down to earth and likeable. Minus 1 star, unfortunately, because of the difficult location and the closing policy. Once, when I had barely made in the door at closing time, they turned me away after I was inside, despite it being just a little bit past 7. I understand the need to have a cut off point, but all my retail jobs have given a little leeway at closing time for customers. Directions: It is in this fairly empty plaza at the southwest part of Chapman and Prospect. There is only one tiny driveway in, so if you miss it or there's a big truck/SUV waiting to turn out, you're screwed because this area is busy busy busy with cars. When you leave the plaza, don't even bother turning left - it's almost impossible and probably dangerous because this part of Chapman always has a lot of cars running about. I have been really cautious where to go to threading lately. So after much yelping-research, I came across Perfect Brows. I'm so glad I came across these reviews. Of course I asked for Pooja and she was amazing. She actually listened to how I wanted my brows and it was only 6$ for brow and 4$ for lip. Its cheaper Monday/Tuesday and brows for 8$ for the rest of the week. Overall for the quality it is definitely a steal. This place is 25 minutes out of my way, but I'm going to keep going here for sure. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that this place is small and when I went there was only 1 person working (someone called in sick), and even if there was 2 people, there was quite a few people waiting. I even made an appointment but since I was like 5 minutes late, i had to waited for 20 minutes to get my turn. But it was my fault for going late, so I didn't mind. So make an appointment and be there on time, it is definitely worth it. ---------------------- edit ---------------------- So this is my new brow place. I drive 20 minutes out of my way when i live near 2 other threading places. My first time here I think i rated 1 star down because theres a wait, but now i totally understand because this place is soo goood. I learned about Perfect Brows after doing some exhaustive yelp-research, since I was tired of driving nearly 40 minutes to Ziba in Costa Mesa. After reading all the reviews on this site, I was skeptical of going to a place that was so cheap for brow threading, in comparison to the typical $11 at Ziba plus $2 for tip I was paying. However, I have come away quite surprised in that these reviews don't lie and indeed, Pooja particularly does a great job!! She listened, was friendly, met with me within minutes, and threaded my eye brows just like I asked her to. In fact, her skill is comparable, if not better than the lady I typically visit. One of the best parts is that I wasn't pushed to buy products the way Ziba does each time (don't get me wrong this place is good too! they have just gotten too expensive and too commercial for my taste). The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because each time I have visited, Poojah and her co-worker have talked to me while threading my eyebrows. On one occasion, she spit on my face, thus for hygiene reasons I would prefer to have my brows threaded without having to carry a conversation, even if its just an exchange of a few words. ***Do make an appt and ask for Pooja otherwise you may have to wait a while to meet with her. read more

After purchasing the brazilian and brows deal that was offered a few months back, I finally decided to redeem it today. I also paid $4 to have my upper lip threaded as well. Pooja did a great job with threading the eyebrows and the upper lip. I was going for the thick "Lala Anthony" eyebrows...and I left 100% satisfied in that area. Onto why I gave such a low rating... the Brazilian waxing left VERY LITTLE to be desired. It was my first waxing "down there" experience, and the experience was okay and I am satisfied with the results. My complaint is about the facility. The towel/robe that they had my area up with was not too clean looking (unfortunately, i noticed this after the waxing was done..). The room was tiny...everytime the waxer walked around the chair, she was basically squeezing around the room. Also, the other worker who was doing someone elses nails had to excuse herself and walk into the room to bend down to the floor and get tools out of the sterilizer. I would have liked the room to be more "comforting" for this type of procedure since it is such a delicate one. I am extremely picky with how I treat my "girly"...and I would expect somewhere that I am paying and trusting to groom it to be the same way. I was in desperate need to get my brows cleaned. I don't think I could have waited another day to pass without getting them done. Lucky enough I decided to check yelp for any good tips/suggestions. One my way home I noticed that Perfect Brows was cheap and had such great ratings/comments. I'm usually very weary about who and where I get my eyebrows done. Perfect Brows is in a lonely plaza all by its lonesome. I'm not sure if there are any other open businesses in this plaza. But that's okay, that just means no trouble parking. They offer a check-in special $6 for eyebrows Sun-Tues for 1st time customers. It was very clean and loved the decor. They offer other salon services: hair removal, facials, bleaching. Prices were all very reasonable. So as I sat outside reading fellow yelper comments I decided to go in. I was immediately greeted and asked to sign in. I waited no more than 5 minutes. There were two ladies working. I was lucky to get Nadia. She was very friendly and amazing at her threading skills. I have done threading before at Ziba, but stopped going because of the long waits and inexperienced staff. The last few times I had gone it was painful. I expecting the same experience here since I had gone back to waxing. But NO, Nadia was EXCELLENT. Her hands were light, she did a very precise job and offered if I wanted rose water after my threading. I would definitely return here. They also offer a stamp card if you come regularly. read more

I have been here several times! I usually see some other lady(not poojah) because the first time I went in I had poojah do my eyebrows and she messed them up. They were both shaped differently. LEG WAXING I have done leg waxing with poojah and her method of waxing is very strange. She poured tons of baby powder on me then applied wax . I was concerned because that meant while she waxed, my pores would open up and consume the baby powder. This is not the correct way of waxing leg hair. Also she had missed a few spots. She charges $35-40 For leg waxing. I have never returned. If you read my other reviews you will see I have gone somewhere way better for half the price! read more

*This review is for the Brazilian Wax ONLY* I love coming here for eyebrow threading (which BTW is one of the best I've been to in the OC) and thought I'd give the brazilian wax a try as this place is close to home and more affordable than my typical waxing salon. Biggest mistake I've ever made. The beautician was super friendly and the waxing room was impeccably clean; however, upon entering the room and getting ready for some grimacing stripping, it turned out that the wax was too cool to use. The beautician apologized for the wax not being ready and heated ready for application. She ended up taking a tub of wax from the room next door which did not seem warm enough once she applied the first blob. oh lordy lord. Now commenced the most painful 15 minutes of my life... Strip after strip. I wanted to die. At first, I thought I was just not used to their wax formula, but after the pain seared increasingly more, I knew it was not me, but the beautician. She kept applying the wax over the same area, ironically over an area in which I KNEW should not have hurt as much compared to the other sensitive areas of my temple, yet she continued to mumble under her breathe that it was because I had shaved before that the hairs were growing in different directions and thus the wax was not catching the roots, explaining her stripping the same area repeatedly. So I endured. The entire 15 minutes. Teeth clenched and body rigid the whole session, I knew the next few days would not be pretty, but boy did I not know how bad it would be. Upon finishing, I stood up and limped all the way back to my car. It felt like someone took a bat and literally bashed me down there...enough to bruise it and leave a burning sensation with any pressure/touch/etc. Oh- and the area was not completely clean, which was a disappointment because if I went through all that pain, it better AT LEAST be 100% hair free! I'm not trying to just hate on this place just for the sake of it, but wanted to warn all my other female friends to probably stop to think about coming here for a brazilian wax for the sake of their vagina's sanity. By all means, YES come to Perfect Brows for threading of the brows or face! Their work is amazing. I mean, their business name says brows so that's what they are best at doing! And don't do the wax my friends. I am traumatized beyond belief and am sticking to my $65 waxes, albeit a little high, here on out. read more

The lady was very gentle with every process and being new, I was scared and vulnerable to the entire situation. I love how she did my eyebrows, too. Yes yes yes! So this place does get crowded, and so, if you plan on going, plan accordingly. In my opinion, this location is way better than the Newport Beach location, and a lot more convenient to get to. For $10, their eyebrow threading is so worth it and they really do an amazing job. I won't go anywhere else. I haven't yet tried their other services, but I definitely plan to. Threading only review this time! This place is awesome. $7 (or $6 on less popular days apparently) to get your eyebrows done, and they are done well. Getting your eyebrows threaded is certainly a different process for those who are used to waxing. You have to be an assistant to the threader, helping to hold your skin while they do their work. But the process is quick and relatively painless. I find it much less painful than waxing or plucking.They shape and trim your brows I'm usually in and out in 5 minutes, unless there is a wait. But again, the process is so quick, the wait isn't usually long. read more

Sadly, I only got to try this place once before moving permanently back to Norcal. Now I'm afraid to try a new threading place because all the reviews I've been reading have had people complaining about being cut by inexperienced threaders. Now I'm going to address the threading itself because I know that's what I was curious about when I was first looking at trying threading. It hurts less than plucking and waxing but takes more time. My eyebrows actually stayed neat and clean for two months versus the one month that waxing provides. You will have to hold your skin down at times. And I was never cut. My recommendation goes to Nadia for the above reasons. read more

I walked into Perfect Brows' bright studio to see large mirrors covering the walls, comfortable, leather swivel chairs, and a pleasant waiting area with several chairs. Current magazines were displayed on the coffee table that softened the wait time. There were a few people ahead of me so I perused Vogue for around twenty minutes. I waited to meet with Nadia, though I have friends who visit Farazana and say she is equally as good. She spent a lot of time with each customer, chatting and joking as she worked, which seemed to lighten their moods. When it was my turn, she inspected my brows and offered to clean them up, while still keeping them full and natural. I have been to other threading studios and it seems as though she used thinner thread than other places because there was significantly less pain. She did a nice job, adding shape to my previously arch-less brows. Over all, Perfect Brows fulfills the promise of its name. read more

Didn't realize how important my eyebrow threader was until I moved to Utah. I've gotten my eyebrows done from three different people out in Utah and they dont compare at all. So I either have to learn to do my eyebrows myself or I wait until I come home to cali and get it done. At perfect brows, they listen to you and not do what they think it should look like. The girls are all very nice. Also why pay more at Ziba when you can get it done here for less. I also get my brazillians done here as well which is also a good price. I've been going to Perfect Brows for years, and, while they're great at what they do, I've found the customer service lacking. When I first started coming here, Poojah, who is the owner, would always be there. I think she's opened up another Perfect Brows so I haven't seen her in my recent visits. She would always greet clients and just have an overall friendly demeanor. Without her, the ladies who work there aren't as friendly. My latest visit yesterday, I was not greeted at all or provided any direction on what to do. I knew to sign in because I've been a repeat customer, but in no way was my presence acknowledged. If I were a first-time customer, I would really be turned off by this lack of service. I didn't catch the name of the person who threaded me, but I also feel she rushed through her job. She did a good job, but didn't really give me time to look at my brows to see how I liked them. I realize making $9 per eyebrow threading, it's in your best interest to get as many clients as possible, but I think customer service should be important too. Anyhow, as I result, I've decreased my visits and resorted to doing my own eyebrows. I go to them when I feel I really need it, but I'm definitely open to taking my business elsewhere. read more

I followed the owner, Pooja here from the last place she worked. Allow me to start by saying that I am very discerning when it comes to beauty services. Being a practicing Cosmetologist and Spa Manager I have pretty high standards when it comes to this stuff. I am also a stickler about customer service!!! Pooja is the best eyebrow person I have ever been to. She communicates very well and is extremely thorough. Her customer service is great and she has an amazing staff behind her!! GO HERE. I thought that I'd found my go-to place earlier this summer, but in comparison to here, the others don't even compare. The area is clean and nice. I only waited 5 minutes when I walked in for an eyebrow threading. Pooja was so nice and sweet. I don't normally like to talk when I'm getting anything done, whether it be eyebrows or nails or hair. However, it wasn't awkward talking to her. Though I was quiet most of the time, the conversations we did have were nice. Also, I break out easily and even at the other place where I didn't break out THAT MUCH, after getting my brows threaded here, I didn't break out AT ALL. Furthermore, I'm not all that adventurous with my brows, generally just keeping them from looking like little caterpillars. I don't like to experiment with shape. However, I decided to trust Pooja, and I don't regret it. While thinner than I'm used to, I find that this is the shape that I now prefer. All this for only $7. I'll definitely go again. read more

I've only had my eyebrows done here and they've been on point most of the time! They're quick and efficient about it as well. It runs you about $9 (it has increased over time, but I still go here for the sake of convenience because it's on the way home for me) My only disappointment with Perfect Brows is the lack of consistency. They don't always trim, they don't always offer rosewater at the end, and they don't always ask what you want. Some of the ladies that work here just start going at it. Thankfully it usually turns out fine. I've had only ONE bad experience where I'm pretty sure the lady messed up and blamed me for having uneven brows, saying I had to let one grow in, and that I should come back after so they can fix it (what? seems kind of rude because my non-shaped brows were even in thickness coming in). After all the times I've been here, I've had that ONE bad experience. I'm not going to give up on the other ladies though because they are awesome! Originally my eyebrows were really thin and unattractive, which is very unfortunate because I had the potential to have beautiful, thick eyebrows. Within one month, my eyebrows were shaped and full. I bought the groupon for a diamond facial+eyebrow threading for $35. Without groupon, it would've cost $75 (I think). In retrospect, I got what I paid for. The full price treatment is probably not worth $75. 1. They made me wait 1/2 hour after my appointment time to get started. 2. The room that they put you in is pretty ghetto and I'm not sure they clean the table you lie down on. They use medical paper, the kind you see at a dr's office, so I guess that's okay. I know for sure the wrap they provide isn't clean. There was hair on it. Gross. The towels they used on my face seemed rough, so definitely not spa quality. The brushes and tools are definitely not clinically restored because they don't unpackage a new set in your appointment. I think they just stick the tools/brushes in some cleaning solution on site. Questionable. 3. The line of skincare that they use is an Indian brand. Not sure what it's called, but it has a drawing of some lady's face on it. They say it's all herbal. They also told me they use Dermalogica cleansers, but there wasn't 1 bottle of Dermalogica product in that room. 4. The 1 problem I had with the actual facial is that they exfoliated my eyelids. Isn't that taboo?! The skin is so thin there that I thought all skincare specialists would recommend against such practice. Not sure if anyone in this business is licensed to do skincare actually. Didn't see anything posted in the store. 5. Beware - the groupon is good for a 40 min treatment, not 1 hour. So, I wouldn't buy this again if it were offered again. I'd rather pay $50 to go to Total Woman Day Spa in Irvine. At least, for $15 more, you get to use their awesome facilities and spa showers for as long as you want, you don't have to question the cleanliness there, you get a head.arm.hand.upper back massage, and you get the full skincare treatment including eye cream and moisturizers. Total Woman Day Spa is where I will return for a getaway. 6. What I did like: The extraction was truly the most painful I've ever had, but the result is really good. I am VERY picky about my brows. I have the kind of brows that, if you pluck the wrong hair, I will get a giant hole. I prefer a thick, more natural brow and have had my brows threaded elswhere before, which ended in disaster. First, let me say that I have had my brows done by Anastasia Soare herself, Damone Roberts, Anastasia trained brow stylists...you name it. Nadia at Perfect Brows is better than any of them. She really LISTENED to what I wanted and even offered me advice on growing my brows in cheaply when I let her know I was trying to grow them in. She left my brows thick, but somehow managed to even out my one wonky brow to match my better brow ( no one has been able to before). I don't even have to use brow pencil now!!! Thanks, Nadia! I'm never going to anyone else again, so please don't disappear on me!!! A good eyebrow person is hard to find! ;) Oh, and please don't let it discourage you from going to Perfect Brow that they don't work on men on Sundays and Mondays. It's not discriminatory. I found Perfect Brows through yelp. I needed to replace Bollywood in Riverside, since I can't get there (although I still may try to commute out there occasionally). I did my eyebrows and a Brazilian. I'm just a huge wimp when it comes to both, but the person doing my eyebrows was super quick. Almost too quick, so I was shocked when I looked and saw that she was done with minimal hurting (although a couple of tears). The Brazilian was a regular experience. She wasn't as quick as Bollywood, but she was quite thorough and very friendly. They did recommend making an appointment next time. I ended up paying $42 for the Brazilian and $8 for the eyebrows. read more

After my bad experience here, I decided to come back on a whim. I didn't ask for and didn't want to receive anything for free due to my negative experience. I'm willing to pay for the services provided. After growing my eyebrows out for about 4 months, I came back to get them fixed. Even all this time later, they're still not completely even, but I can cover it up with makeup. I feel like this place doesn't offer consistent work, especially when you get different people working on your brows. This is totally understandable because different people have different styles. I have to say that Puja (spelling may be off) is my favorite person here. I always leave happy with my eyebrows and she does her best to make them "sisters" even though one still has a slightly higher arch than the other. This review is for the brazilian wax. You and I should know by now that a threading place is not the place to go to for a brazilian. I've learned this the hard way, one threading place at a time. Oh naivete. I would do it for the affordability factor, but after a handful of experiences I've finally accepted that you truly get what you pay for. Here's why I give it 2 stars. The first time I went in for the brazilian, the girl was not ready. I called in for an appointment ahead of time, and even so, she had me half nakee on the table cutting up strips for the wax. This has happened on both occasions that I've come in. Awkward. Also, while she was waxing me her colleague kept coming in and out of the room, THROUGHOUT the wax. As the lady was waxing me she said "Oh don't worry, she does brazilian waxing too." Um. I don't care if the other person waxes a thousand vajays, all day, everyday, it's just not professional. The final service/result itself just wasn't good. She didn't do a complete job...knowingly so. She left a patch unwaxed and asked if I had a bf or husband. I said no. And so then she said, so you don't care right? [if this patch of hair is still here] I just blinked. i have no idea what to say. Would you? I came here twice with the same level of service. The girl was nice, but even so, at the end of the day you are paying for a service and just wasn't thorough or good. This is a brow place, so I'm sure it's good for that. Grrr-eat place! First time getting my eyebrows threaded! Boyyyyyy. Girls weren't lying when they said it hurt! Lol, but it's nothing too bad, and Annie, my threader, was super friendly and talked to me throughout the process. Then .. I decided to get my armpit wax! Wooooo! I don't have a lot of hair in that area so Annie suggested threading! And it didn't hurt as bad, and it left my armpit feeling so smooooooth! Looks beautiful! ;p (i should be an armpit model,hehe) She also suggested Brazilian wax, I def will come back and try it ;o EDIT- Lol, I came back to this place today. You know unannounced with no appointment.. haha I was able to get served in five minutes, and guess who it was? Annie! Yay. always sweet and charming.. perfect brows for real. This last visit wasn't as good as the first. The service was good and my brows were cleaned to perfection; however, I used my entire 1 hour lunch to get my eyebrows threaded. The salon only staffs two people, and one person was in the back doing a facial so a line began to form for brow services. This is my first time experiencing threading eyebrows. Since I haven't been to any other places, I don't know how other places are, but I highly recommend this place. I went there on Tuesday morning and it wasn't busy yet. Since I have 3 month old baby, I was worried to take her with me. While Pooja (I think she is the owner) was doing my brows, one of the workers played with my baby and I felt super comfortable! Pooja did a great job and my brows look sooo good. I'll definitely go back again. One thing I wanna mention is that it's hard to find a place. I had to U turn to find it. read more
