I scheduled an underarm wax appointment, but unfortunately woke up the morning of my appointment…read morefeeling ill. The clinician called me to ask if I could come in early and I said yes hoping to be feeling better but as I began to work on some things at home I felt worse and worse. (I just found out I have Covid). I attempted to reschedule through Vagaro, but because my appointment was less than six hours away, the system would not allow me to do so. I called the salon and was informed by a staff member that I would be charged a $10 cancellation fee despite being sick and wanting to reschedule rather than cancel outright. Since my service was only an underarm wax, the fee amounted to approximately 40% of the total service cost. I asked whether an exception could be made given the circumstances, but was told it was the "manager's policy." The response felt very scripted and lacked any empathy for the situation. I ultimately agreed to pay the fee, but asked that the manager be informed they had lost a customer over $10. Unfortunately, the experience became even more disappointing. The manager, Sarah, called me after I had already explained that I was sick and wanted to discuss the situation. I was really not feeling well and did not appreciate receiving a call to discuss this further. I told the manager that, because I wasn't feeling well, the only discussion I was interested in having was whether the cancellation fee would be refunded. Instead of addressing my concern, Sarah ended the call abruptly by HANGING UP ON ME. I understand that businesses have cancellation policies, but customer service and compassion matter. A little flexibility for a client who woke up sick and was trying to reschedule, not avoid paying, would have gone a long way. Instead, I was charged a fee that represented a significant portion of the service cost and was treated in a way that ensured I won't be returning. If you book here, just be aware that if you wake up sick on the day of your appointment, you should expect the cancellation fee to be enforced regardless of the circumstances.

After a frustrating episode at Vinita's...I was left dumb founded as to where to go to get my eyebrows threaded. Zibas- too expensive Vinita's - wait time is insane what to do? try my hand at tweezin them myself? I think not. I got lucky, however, cuz as I was shopping for my Indian groceries in Garden Patch, I saw a flyer for Sandy's in Tustin. Tucked in the same shopping center as the new location of the Dosa Place (awesome Indian food!), Sandy's is a small, clean little studio. There was plenty of parking, and I only had to wait two minutes before Sandy helped me into her chair. She's fast, super friendly and I will definitely be recommending this place to my friends as I'm sure they are frustrated with our Orange County threading options too. read more

I have been a customer of Sandy's Threading since they opened. I'm always greeted with a smile and receive great service. All the ladies do an amazing job at threading, waxing and facials. They listen carefully to my requests and make sure I'm satisfied before leaving. The best part is the massage after getting your threading done. Now with COVID, I've noticed that they disinfect the chairs, working area and hands after each customer. They are also using a different threading technique to hold their thread to comply with COVID guidelines. I just found this place online and I absolutely love it! I went to Amira for my eyebrow threading and she did an awesome job. I was impressed by her work. She is quick, professional and best of all she shaped my eyebrows beautifully. So I talked to her about my hair, because I have curly hair and I have never been totally happy with it. She recommended scalp treatment so I gave it a try. Let me tell you she uses herbal hair therapy products. The chemical free, herbal oil with the scalp massage technique was warming, stimulating and great for scalp and hair. Excellent! It really gets my hair healthy and growing. Love it! read more

I've been going to Sandy's Beauty for a few years to get my brows threaded. I usually have Sandy or Menisha do my eyebrows. They both do a great job! But I recently went to get a manicure from Christine and was pleased how my nails came out. I didn't do gel, just a regular polish manicure and my nails lasted two weeks before they started to chip.
