I arrived two minutes late and felt like I was being looked down upon by the front desk girl for doing so. So my appointment started off on the wrong foot My wax was then done by Kaitlynn, and the conversation during it felt very uncomfortable. I felt judged when talking about my family (she asked questions about them) due to her tone of voice, and the wax felt very rushed. I was a newbie and had never had a Brazilian wax before. Kaylynn was very sweet and made me comfortable. Explained everything and was able to put me at ease. I was desperately looking for a spot that could do a quick underarm wax on a Saturday afternoon. Everyone else was booked up but this spot had an available appointment so I gave it a try. It's in a cute plaza and very easy to find. It was very comfortable and clean inside. At first I thought they did sugar waxing which I normally prefer but since I was in a rush I didn't even ask or check. I really didn't mind the regular wax especially if it's just my underarms. Found The Pretty Kitty through yelp when the usual person I go see is out of town for the next couple of weeks. I called and made an appointment for an eyebrow wax with Sarah. When I arrived to my appointment, I met Sarah who was very nice and extremely chatty. At the end of my appointment, she gave me a mirror to see my eyebrows and I thought everything looked good. However, once I went back to the main room to pay and got a closer look at my eyebrows in the mirror, I noticed that my eyebrows still looked messy. They had not been trimmed and not shaped at all. I immediately said something to the receptionist and she called Sarah who took me back to the room. Once I explained my concerns, she told me that they did not specialize in eyebrows, but she "knew how to shape eyebrows". I Immediately felt uncomfortable because I'm super picky about my eyebrows. She did trim a bit at the edge, but my eyebrows still look somewhat bushy. Not feeling comfortable anymore, I decided to just leave. I was a bit annoyed because when I called and made the appointment, I told the receptionist that I was a bit picky about who I let wax my eyebrows, due to a very bad incident I had a couple of years back. The receptionist assured me that Sarah was a professional and an eyebrow wax specialist, which I guess was a lie. I do not recommend The Pretty Kitty for eyebrow wax. As I do not get Brazilians, I cannot speak of it. Lesson learned on my end to just stick with who I trust. read more

This location is a 10/10. Making an appointment is so easy and I love that I'm sent confirmations since life gets so busy sometimes! Joanna the front desk receptionist is so prompt about getting back to me and made me feel so comfortable. Ashlee was who did my Brazilian and I have never had such a great experience as this one before. I've had bad experiences(not gentle, not comforting, and took WAY too much time) at multiple different salons which made me so hesitant. So disappointed and dissatisfied. I went in for a Brazilian for my 5th time at this Salon and second time with the esthetician. Everything seemed ok at first, the wax was a little to hot than before and as she would strip it actually started to hurt. She was pulling the strips too hard and it felt like my skin was tearing. When she was done I started to wipe because it felt like a lot of wax was left behind and there was, a big gloop with a patch of hair. I wanted to let them know but I left confused. It was throbbing at the end and though this might have been the worst wax I have ever had. Here I am 2 weeks later and have a little tear and lots of ingrown hairs and it's bothersome. I had never experienced this before and a little disgusted on how it was treated that day. read more

Superb services. Sarah was very personable, easy to talk to, and is excellent! Seriously, after having Brazilians since 2010... it's been a love hate relationship with "Brazilian" waxing, a must do, but each time fearing the RIPPING! However, todays treatment... I literally had to look to make sure she got it all. It DID NOT HURT!! I'm not exaggerating. Didn't need to brace myself. No pain. Not even on the dreaded area: very top suprapubic area (& every woman knows about the top part it's the worst!) mind you it had been nearly 6-7 mos since the last Brazilian. Sarah worked quickly, but did not rush you. She was able to entertain my curiosity and carry conversation effortlessly while completing the task at hand. The venue itself is quite lovely. The girl was super nice and im not sure if she was new or not, but when I got home I noticed I still had a lot of facial hair. My eyebrows weren't even touched. Bad front desk service. I had an appointment today and was going to be 6 minutes late do to traffic and being new to the area. I called the front desk letting them know and they said they would have to reschedule me later in the day. I drove 30 minutes to get there then had to drive back another 30 minutes because of no appointment. Many waxing places allow at least one warning or give you a 10 minute grace period. This place was very unprofessional. The only reason why I'm not giving it one star is because Sage, the esthetician there is really great and doesn't make you feel uncomfortable while getting waxed. read more
