Still great. I just wanted to add that every manicure lasts for at least 5 days- usually 7 days; my manicures historically has been up to 3 days from other places. And April is still my favorite!!! read more

I really like getting my nails done here. They do a good job. In fact I was there yet again last week for a pedicure. I needed to get a Brazilian and the places I normally go to were closed/booked so I went here. Big mistake. Turns out I now share something in common with other women in Lakeview... our vaginas, underarms, brows, etc have been touched using a contaminated wax pot. My waxer was double dipping!! I asked her to stop and she seemed confused why I was asking for a new stick each time. Yuck. I had her continue which probably wasn't a good idea but I wanted the service done. She was thorough and oddly enough it didn't hurt at all despite only using soft wax. I bought some tea tree oil at Walgreens and I'll start exfoliating tomorrow hoping that I can avoid any infection. I said something to the woman at the front desk (not the owner) and she seemed concerned but I don't know what will change. I'm very happy with my nail services here but I will NOT get a waxing here again... has anyone else witnessed this here?! read more

My boyfriend and I came in on Easter (for the first time) for pedicures and ended up getting manicures as well. Our services were OK. He enjoyed his technician, but mine was too rough - she cut my cuticles to the point that they bled in 3 different spots. One still stings a bit a day later. I can't speak to having your nails painted or other quick services, but I probably wouldn't come back for a feel-good experience. read more

This place is awesome. I know I'm not adding much to the current 5-star reviews but if this review helps someone who is on the fence decide to go here, then I've done my duty of paying it forward. I got a mani and pedi here a while ago--was waiting to see how long it lasted until i wrote a review--and it was totally awesome. The pedi lasted for ages. The mani not so much but it did last almost a week so I can't complain. The technicians are also no nonsense and won't resort to mindless chitter chatter BS when all you want is to get a mani/pedi in peace and quiet. The sweet older lady also comes over to inspect the work while you're at the drying station and if something isn't to her liking, she'll make the tech come back over to fix it. Overall it's a great price in a cute and clean place. I will definitely be coming back. Although the lack of a Web site with the name nail.com is a bit strange. Just sayin'. read more

I don't have an idea why is this place overrated? I was there on Sunday after reading its reviews on Yelp. I thought it would be a great start to the day with the kind of reviews it had. However, it turned out to be a very basic nail salon. The staff is fine & just as good as a basic spa staff should be. As I entered (being a first timer there) they did nt ask me or explain me their packages. They just assumed & gave me the basic mani-pedi worth $40. I was ready to spend more since I wanted to relax a bit. In the end I was asked to sit for my nails to dry & after 5 mins another customer was asked to sit next to my chair, her nail artist gave her a shoulder massage. I wonder if they give message to customer who give them high tips?? Coz I gave my nail artist $5. Not sure of going back. read more

Great place! I do not live in this neighborhood, but went out of my way because of the wonderful Yelp reviews. I arrived on a Friday night at about 630pm and the place was packed! There were probably 10-12 women getting pedicures, even at that time. Many of them had been there before and seemed to be regulars. A very high quality place. The woman at the front (Nikki, the owner, I think) was as sweet and helpful as could be. Her son went 100% out of his way to be super helpful and friendly as well. They offered me water or soda upon arrival, and she helped me pick a polish when I asked what she thought would be best with my skin tone. The woman who did my nails was wonderful...I got a Mani/Pedi. It looked like all the nail techs were very skilled and focused. They also have massaging/vibrating chairs, and be sure to use them...a great chair massage! She did a wonderful job on my nails, and the owner's son even offered to go out to put money in the meter for me (the money was running out) while I was getting my nails done! (which , with Daley's new pay boxes...involved taking my car key, putting money in, and putting the receipt inside my car on the dashboard. It was no problem, they offered to do it, and will do it for you anytime!). At the end, they will even wrap your toes in plastic wrap if you need to wear your regular shoes home and want to protect them. They work extra hard to be sure you don't mess up your nails, helping you with your coat, zipping your coat, and anything else you need. The Mani/Pedi is $40. My Mani/Pedi really looks great, she did a wonderful job. My only minor complaint is that there was some dry skin on my heels still. Also, I can't say enough about the owner, Nikki...she was just wonderful. I will definitely be back! I feel like I can always count on them to do a great job. The customer service here is AMAZING....They will treat you really well. Nikki and her son and husband are super sweet and helpful people!!! read more

I just love this place. The owner (Nikki) and her staff are great. A few times when my nails were still drying her husband went out and fed the meter (or shall I say annoying box) for me. The color selection is fantastic and the polishes are all organized and numbered. I have to give a shout out to Daisy because she is fantastic. Jenny and Oogi too. Highly, highly recommend this place. Book an appointment because the word is out! read more

I've NEVER gotten a mani or pedi here that I didn't like. Staff is meticulous and very friendly. Sometimes you have to wait if it gets crowded and you don't have an appointment, but I can assure you it is worth the wait. read more

I have never had such attentive service at a salon before! They pull out all the stops- full luxurious spa style treatment, great colors, complimentary beverage, quick massage, PLUS they wrap your toes before you leave so they don't smudge in their shoes. Such sweet people working there, and they have a $35 mani-pedi special once a week where they still treat you like royalty. read more

This nail spot took me in after 10 minutes of waiting, and the girl who did my nails took her time and made me feel very welcome. The owner is also very sweet, and I told her I would for sure come back for another mani and pedi. I would recommend making an appointment, because I'm sure they do get busy, but I had a wonderful first experience here being a walk-in. read more

I love this place. It is quick, they are really good with mani-pedi. I haven't left this place since I tried for the first time. Reasonable and friendly staff but still won't talk your ears off. They let you be and enjoy your spa time. I highly recommend. read more

This is the best salon in Chicago for manicures and pedicures, hands- (and feet) down. It sets the bar. Why? 1. It's incredibly clean. The facilities are well taken care of, well-stocked, and the polishes are new and organized. 2. They take care. No matter who I've been paired with for a mani/pedi, the treatment is always the same and smudge-free. They go out of their way to make sure the job looks professional. 3. It's a great value. It's only $15 for a mani, for instance, and I haven't found another salon in Chicago that does nearly as good a job. 4. They offer great customer service. Immediately upon entry, they hang up your coat, offer you a drink, and pull out a chair for you. And then you get a back massage while you're waiting for your nails to dry. Excellent value and highly recommend. read more

I've found my new nail place! In addition to being super clean and sanitary the owners and staff go out of their way to pamper and take care of you. You are offered a free Coke or water, treated very attentively and of course they do a great mani/pedi. One of the best parts is that the pedicure chair gives an awesome massage. Throw in all the US magazines you can peruse and a Starbucks nearby and you have a dream come true in a nail place. read more

I had the best manicure from Ujin. I added a scrub and got the best massage durring the scrub and lotion. The place was clean and everyone there was vary nice and helpful. I will go back again. read more

This is a true rave - I am in love with this salon! It is top notch customer service and that is what has me coming back every friday to get my nails done. You walk in, are greeted by the kind and lovely staff, and an arsenal of neatly organized opi and essie polishes in every shade imaginable. I am always promptly offered a drink and my coat is whisked away. The results of my manicures are always flawless with extra touches most salons at this price range don't touch ( heated towels, vitamin e capulets massaged in with the lotion, etc) The salon is always spotless and has great cheery decor. Best nail experience in the city! read more

I'd never been to this place, but I'd walked by and thought it looked cute, so I decided to give it a shot on a whim last night. I knew waxing hurts, so I followed all the tips before I went (ibuprofen, etc.) I thought this place seemed cute and I wanted to check it out, so I thought, "why not just do a walk-in?" Girls were drinking wine and seemed to be having a great time inside. However, maybe I shouldn't have gone to a nail place to get waxing services. Serves me right. That being said, I paid too much money to be put through that kind of pain. I was not asked to sign a waiver before the service began, and although everything was clean, I felt really uncomfortable. I was sobbing, and I felt horrible, because I felt like I was ruining everyone's fun Friday mani-pedi sessions. I wish it'd at least been even. Or that I smoked: the girl outside on Clark St. offered me a cigarette because it was obvious I was having a crummy time. I'm new to the city, but not stupid. I'd like to go back to this place, but honestly I'm not sure I can afford to be put through that kind of thing again. read more

I discovered this little nail oasis in Chicago last summer on Yelp, and I haven't gone to another nail place in the city since! This place ROCKS for a mani/pedi!!! (Especially on Wednesdays, $35 special for both). I've been to this one on Clark, and also their location on Halsted and both do a great job and have sweet employees! They offer you a beverage right when you arrive, a nice touch on an especially hot Chicago day, such as today. You pick your polish and then sit back in one of those big, comfy, massage/heat chairs for the pedi. They also give you a back rub while your nails are drying. It couldn't get any more relaxing! Another big plus is that both locations are always CLEAN! I watch every time I'm there, and the nail technicians are very meticulous about cleaning the tubs after every customer and sterilizing the tools. For a germ-freak like me, that's what I call peace of mind. I love bringing my out of town friends here too, and they all get jealous that I have such an awesome nail place so close to my apartment. For the price, you won't get a better deal (or experience) anywhere in the neighborhood!! read more

My girlfriend and I went for a mani/pedi combo last Friday as kind of a pre-birthday-treat for me. Nail-dot-com was one of the nicer quickie nail salons I've been to, but honestly, I don't think I'll go back. The staff was friendly and welcoming the minute we walked in the door - we were offered beverages and told it would be just a minute before our chairs were ready. The selection of polishes was great - I didn't see a lot of nearly-empty bottles or bottles that looked grungy and old. They had a wide selection of traditional colors AND they had a nice selection of alternative/wild colors - I chose not to this time, but I like have pretty blue toenails now and again! :) I'm pretty sure I got "the new girl" for my pedicure. I certainly don't claim to be any kind of expert or nail-salon-pro, but in looking around at everyone else, it just seemed that her skills were not quite up to where the other technician's were. I had to say something three times regarding the stabbing-pains happening in one of my toes before she changed whatever she was doing that was causing it (I honestly don't have any idea - she was working on my cuticles and it felt very much like I'd been cut badly, but there was no blood, so... ?). She had some difficulty wrapping the hot towels around my legs/feet after the scrub - I'm not sure what that was all about - and my calf-massage consisted of two quick "thumps" on each side. Still, the polish looks very pretty and thanks to the saran-wrap they put around my toesies when I left (I'm an idiot and forgot to wear flip-flops), I made it all the way home with perfect and smudge-free paint! My fingernails, unfortunately, have not fared so well. I'm not sure I made it 24 hours before I noticed the first chip - by Monday the polish was chipped or worn-looking on almost all ten fingers, and as of today (Tuesday) I think I'm just going to take the polish off when I get home from the office today.. They looked super-great on that first evening, tho. I dunno - maybe it was a bad day? A fluke? Maybe I'm too picky? I don't get nail services done more than about, 3-4 times a year - so maybe I'll just save up a few extra bucks each time and go to a higher-end salon/spa and skip the cheapie nail places altogether - since I've never found one that actually works for me. read more

So I'd love to give this place a higher rating because I like the atmosphere and the lady working the front was very nice and accommodating. However, the no-chip manicure I got was horrible. I understand that I was there an hour before they closed and I do realize that people are tired and want to go home so even though I was annoyed at being rushed out of there, I SORT of...KIND of was understanding. Even though the girl doing my nails smeared lotion on my hands and then just wiped it off because she didn't feel like giving me an actual hand massage or rubbing the lotion in. All while checking her cellphone and giggling over text messages (such a pet peeve..so unprofessional). But when I got home and actually saw the bubbles and imperfection on my nails I was livid!! I can't believe I spent $70 + tip for such a crappy mani/pedi on the ONE DAY where I got off of work early. Not to mention this was my birthday gift to myself. What a waste. I wish I had painted my own nails... read more

i'm a picky B when it comes to nail salons. i abhor chop shops and the drive by manicure, so when it comes to getting mani pedis, i don't just go anywhere. start to finish took about an hour and a half, which i ENJOY. they are so thorough with their steps. scrubbing, buffing, lotioning, filing, re-examining, refiling. glorious calf and arm massages, meticulous polish application. the pedicure massage chair is roll ur eyes in the back of ur head good. total cost is about $40 or $35 on wednesdays. I think this location is slightly more friendly and better than their sister location on diversey. but both are pretty damn good. i highly recommend them for affordable and well done nails. after 6 months of neglect my dogs were barkin and now they've been tamed. i've tried a lot of salons and always come back to nail.com in the end. read more

This place is fantastic! I must mention that I live very close to this salon, so the convenience factor is huge. But it is clean, bright and the staff is extremely friendly. Wednesdays they have a $35 manicure/pedicure deal that is worth every penny. They give a mean massage with both, and a mini back massage when you are drying! They also keep track of what colors you like so they can easily locate them for you when you visit. If you are in the area and need a little pampering, stop by! read more

The massage chair is the best I've ever experienced and my mani/pedi is picture perfect. Nail.com is consistently amazing.

by far, the BEST mani-pedi i've ever had! the interior is soooooooooo cute, the staff is super nice, and they have the biggest selection of nail polish colors and brands i've ever seen! (not to mention every magazine u could possibly want to read!) they definitely go above and beyond to make sure u get the best treatment possible. if i still lived in chicago, i would for sure be a regular! read more

This used to be my favorite salon in the city but in the last year or so I've had more than one experience that left me very dissatisfied. The first was a bad pedicure; the polish was so inconsistently applied and rather than starting over she just kept piling on the coats to the point that it was so thick they would never dry. Two hours after I arrived it was near closing time and the only option they gave me was to come back the following day. I ended up having the polish removed and leaving. The second and by far the more upsetting experience was the pedicure and no-chip manicure I got 3 days before my wedding in December; it was my first no-chip and the mani didn't even last until the day of the wedding. The staff is very professional and kind, they offer drinks, and a rewards card but at the end of the day they can't provide what I really want - a mani-pedi that will last. read more

I drive all the way from the south side Nail.com. I probably pass a hundred nail shops, but this place is worth it. Just for the customer service alone. The staff is excellent. They offer you drinks and a quick massage while you nails dry. I highly recommend Nail.com read more

I live in the hood and don't have tons of extra cash to pamper myself. But every time I want to - I come here on a Wednesday to get a mani-pedi for $35. best deal ever and completely a quality job every time. The offer of a soda when I walk in, the shoulder rub, the free moisturizer at Christmas, and very nice and capable technicians all add up to consistent quality. One night I had to wait, and my parking meter ran out. When I pulled the ticket off my windshield, a woman from the salon came out and handed me a card for a free manicure. She apologized to me for not feeding my meter. I kid you not. She told me to please let them know next time that my meter needed to be refilled so they could do it for me as my nails dried. That pretty much exemplified the best customer service I have ever experienced. (and no, I will not be taking her up on the free mani - the guilty Catholic in me knows whose fault it was that I got a ticket!) read more

Fantastic nail salon! Seriously for the price and the service you receive it cannot be beat. I've been coming to this place for 3 years and I refuse to go anywhere else! Their reward system is great, getting a couple mani pedis adds up to a free no chip manicure in no time. Highly recommend! read more

My Nail.com - Great spa mani and pedi!! Essie ballet slippers on toes and mademoiselle on fingers :) - Nail Salons Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

I recently moved to city a few months ago from the suburbs. This was a nail salon I went to before I even moved to the city and got a pedicure that was done with such precision. I went back today for a no chip mani and was in awe by how much attention was taken to detail of my nails. I take pride in my nails but have a nun of a thumb nail after a chip and tearing of the thumb but the manicurist took time to make sure my raw thumb nail was taken care of. This may be the best gel polish job i have ever gotten and i love their statement that they would be "happy to fix any chips that happen within a week". It is clear they take pride in their work and want their patrons to be happy with each and every visit. All my friends love this location and we all plan to continue to visit this location for all nail needs! read more

What can I add that hasn't already been said? I found this salon thru Yelp and decided to give it a try. It was great. As noted in other reviews everyone in the salon could not have been more welcoming and made you feel at home. I had the spa mani/pedi w/the paraffin wax. Ahhhh what a joy on a cold Chicago day. This place is so cute and so accommodating! I usually get a mani/pedi and the staff provides such great service. Booked a pedicure here using Whittl (great service) and came in this past Saturday. Mynail.com does a nice job and is very clean but in my opinion this is not a shop that goes above and beyond when it comes to the little things that make a pedicure special (pumice stone, salts, massage). I also think this spot is a little higher priced for a pedicure than others in the area ($30). All in all they got the job done but not sure I'll be back any time soon. read more

This place is the best in the city. None of that "five dolla more" for special requests. Clean. Well-managed. Happy and very stylish and cute employees. The owners are very sweet and know you by name. I travel from the west side of the city here twice a month. Been going here for 5 years... Best in town. $35 on M/P Wednesday. Went on a Tuesday mid afternoon. I asked for a French pedicure, which they did just an ok job at. My issue was the pedicurist cut/filed until it hurt, twice and then slapped some acetone on the cuts, but fun. Then I was left to sit there for over 40 mins without anyone checking in to see if nails were dried. Not impressed. I'll try somewhere else next time. read more

HANDS DOWN (get it!?), my favorite nail salon in the city. Very fairly priced, extremely friendly service, shoulder massages(!), awesome color selection. After 3 years of living in Chicago I finally found the a nail salon I will return to. It's clean, affordable, and they do an excellent job. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and had my pick of almost all colors Essie offers and many OPI polishes as well. I was seated almost immediately in a comfy massage chair and was offered a beverage of my choice. Auggie gave me the best pedicure I've had since moving here. She was very thorough at trimming my cuticles and removing dry/dead skin. The massage was excellent and the hot towel wrapped around my calves at the end was the icing on the cake. I'll definitely be a repeat customer. read more

Best nail salon in Lakeview! This is as good as it gets other than heading straight to a full-service spa. I have never had a nail salon experience such as this until visiting Nail.com. I decided to give it a try after reading the excellent reviews here on Yelp and am now a hooked customer. To keep it simple...very accommodating staff, complimentary hot tea/soda/water, very clean environment, very professional and pleasant staff, pedicure includes lots of extras that you would pay more for elsewhere, and to top it off...the polish job for my pedicure and manicure was great! As you leave, the staff is very attentive and they make sure your nails are dry, assist you with your coat and shoes, and you get a mini back massage while your nails are drying. Forgot to mention, they even check your coat for you which tops off the experience - makes you feel like you are their appreciated guest. I cannot wait for my Mom to visit me because we are definitely going to have a pedicure day at this salon. Also excited to take my boyfriend's Mom here....with that being said....this is also a safe bet for a gift! read more

Worst place for a mani-pedi. Seriously. Okay, maybe not WORST but definitely bad. I tried this salon after yelpers raved about it only to be sorely disappointed. When I arrived I was booked with a woman (no one wears name tags so you can't identify them even if you wanted to) who did a kind of shitty job with the french no-chip. I even thought she may have been a novice it looked so crappy. But I let it go because it was done and I was going on vacation so I was in a good mood. My french no-chip mani lasted 5 days before it looked like hell. (A chunk peeled back when I picked up a piece of paper!!!) I called the salon immediately to complain but explained that I couldn't get in to have it fixed because I was on my way out of town. They assured me it would be no problem to come in after I got back. When I went in (and this was not even 1.5 weeks after having it done) I was told that they only guaranteed the no-chip mani for a week! Really?!?! If that's true then why would I bother paying extra for no-chip? A regular polish would have lasted me a week. Most of my well done no-chips have lasted at LEAST 2.5 weeks! So after I reminded them that I was out of town and unable to return until that day I was reluctantly scheduled another mani. Now first, I paid for a french-mani (usually more expensive than a regular). I was told the second time around the only person who did no-chip french mani was not in that day so they would have to give me a regular no-chip mani. Fine. Whatever. (But again, the woman who did my french mani the first time was the only woman in the salon able to do so? And her skills were questionable??) So, on to my second mani. It's not even 48 hours later and it's already peeling. I paid $75 (plus tip) for a no-chip mani and a regular pedi. Biggest waste of money. Any of you who think this place is THE PLACE for a no-chip are really missing out on what that really means. There are far superior salons in Chicago who are confident enough to stand by their no-chips for more than a week I promise you. I will not be returning here. read more
