Down in Tempe on a Friday afternoon & decided to scout out some place to get a much-needed…read morepedicure. Where to turn? Yelp of course! It led me to Golden Nails Spa & I had an excellent experience here. You know what I really appreciated? The hospitality. Everyone smiled & was welcoming, from the one gentleman up front to the woman who gave me the pedicure & then the lady who answered the phone. This seems like something super simple, but I've been to nail salons where they are just not NICE. They are there to do the job but do not incorporate kindness & customer service...at a service-oriented business. Many nail techs seem like they REALLY dislike their jobs. And if you question how they're doing something to your hands or feet, or even ask?! They often act insulted. It's a fine line to tread. When it shouldn't be. I chose the VIP pedicure - see the menu! Treatment on my legs: * sugar scrub * hot stone massage * peppermint mask + hot towels * there was no paraffin wax for my feet but these other treatments made up for that Then "regular" stuff for feet: * soaking * cheese grating! * nail trimming & shaping - I asked for filing instead of cutting Thank you to Golden Nails Spa & "Ann" for a relaxing pedicure.

I…read morecame back today (I called first to avoid wasting gas) and once I got there, the older lady did my pedicure and manicure... the pedicure polish work does not look good but it's fine with me because I always wear shoes anyways so I ignored it, but then when I saw my nails, I thought maybe I'm just picky.... For transparency I paid $30 for gel mani and $42 for gel pedicure. Total of $72 and I did tip her too ... I came back an hour later (I left there at 5, got home and got others opinions to confirm it was not good work) I came back at 6pm to ask if maybe they could remove the polish (or refund the mani) cause it looks bad and they were all gone an hour earlier than the time they advertise it closes. They close at 7pm per their door and Apple Maps. So I'm leaving this review instead. I get it's my fault for not voicing my opinion but I ended up coming back to ask if they can fix and no one was there. I should add that every time the lady poked me with the tool she did apologize... and then while she painted my toes she kept telling me the number 3.... Then said she didn't know English, I understand the language barrier but she could have asked the other people to translate if she was trying to communicate something to me?
