I've been to this location when I've needed to register a vehicle or renew a lincense. Each time the staff has been knowledgable and friendly. They charge a little more for their services then the regular MVD, but you wait in a much smaller line. I value my time so when I'm forced to deal with the MVD I come here. They make the process more tolerable. read more

Is it a requirement that you have to be incompetent to work for MVD? Seriously just dealt with a woman who likely needs to be reminded to breathe in order to live. I needed to transfer a license from CA to NM, so I brought in all my documents (including a deed to a house we just bought and a gas bill). This woman wanted to tell me they wouldn't accept a DEED TO A HOUSE in our name as proof of NM residency. What?! Then proceeded to tell me that I needed all six pages of a gas bill (because apparently the back four pages of legal jargon and gas usage are really important, not the name and billing address on the front page). They need to start firing these idiots...surely there are some out of work people who can do a much better job at critical thinking than this fool could. read more

More like MVD Eventually. I scheduled appointment, but it hardly matters. When I got there the only way to check in was by grabbing a number. I sat in an uncomfortable waiting room for approximately 30 minutes bored out of my mind. Things got lively when gentleman came in wanting to know where his drivers license was. He got a fairly reasonable response from the first person he talked to who went to go look for it, but when he asked a second person, she was snotty and condescending to him. He became upset and she started laughing at him. While she didn't deserve to be chased out of the building by him, which is what happened, she could've prevented the whole incident from happening if she hadn't been rude and laughed at him. The situation was eventually calmed by another worker who actually listened to him and acknowledged there was a problem. Prior and after this incident, the waiting room was treated to the non stop complaining by the workers about their working conditions. They probably had a point, as it was obvious they were understaffed. The one bright point was the woman who ended up dealing with me. She had a decent attitude, wasn't rude, and actually acknowledged the situation. She is the only reason they get two stars,instead of one. read more

Went in to the Paseo del Norte Location on Monday during lunch - no wait time! I had a mistake on a title I was trying to transfer, the young lady there took care of the affidavits to correct the mistake. She was very kind during the entire process. She answered the 20 questions I had while she registered my RV. She provided professional service - I was impressed with her knowledge. The entire process took 15 minutes. I felt welcomed the entire time. I recommend MVD Now to anyone who has any type of MVD needs. My time is too valuable to wait in line for hours. I will definitely return. Wow. I've been using this business for driver's licences, plates, registrations, etc. for a couple of years now. Today's transaction was a real deal breaker though and I might not go back. I stopped by to tag and register a vehicle that I purchased recently. This is typically an easy and friendly transaction here. I was immediately greeted by someone who directed me to an available agent. I won't share her name but customer service was not her forte. She made no eye contact, mumbled, appeared to not know how to operate the system, and failed to share any information with me while I patiently waited. After some time I eventually asked her if she knew how to perform our transaction since she continually walked to another agent to ask her how things worked. I eventually reached the point where I had to ask her to deliberately speak up since I could not hear her. The store also had pop country music playing loudly from a radio behind the agents. This does not appear to be a problem with the agent but with the management of the business. They need to get it together. Uggh. Just a very bad experience from a business that is usually well managed. I'm disappointed and will probably return to their competitors. read more

I went here to avoid the wait and general lack of customer service that the regular MVD offers but I should have gone to the regular MVD. Service was terrible and the the clerks were rude and acted like I was bothering them. I could have saved a lot of money going to the regular MVD and can't imagine that the service would be any worse. Save your money and do not go to this location. Maybe other locations are better? I haven't been to one but I can say that I will NEVER go to this location again and I would recommend that others do the same. read more

This place is the worst, walked in with the intention to get a learners permit for my daughter, as we walked in there was a woman by the number dispenser, she asked what we needed and I said a learners permit, then asked is this all I need? (For the obvious reason) she looked at what we had and said, yes this is all you need, please take a number, over an hour later (this is supposed to be faster than the regular MVD and it is not!!) it was our turn, same woman grabs our papers and says let me look at what you have and make sure you have everything, I was like what do you mean? You already looked at it... and you know what's next already! So yes, she tells me you are missing one document but don't worry you can come back tomorrow at 8:30 when we open, I was like you're kidding right? So you are telling me I just wasted over an hour for nothing? I understand that we were missing a document, that is not the issue, the issue is that I asked before!!! I asked is this all I need? She said yes. And on top of that tell me "you can just comeback tomorrow" no woman I have a job, my kid goes to school, I will never comeback to this place, obviously I didn't save any time and I sure wasn't going to save any money. read more

I wish I could give no stars. Stay away from MVD Now!!! One of the worst customer experiences of my life. These people have no understanding of customer service, are understaffed, rude, and ignorant. I went there to get a first time driver's license for my teenage son. It was quite busy with only three people working. We waited for 20 minutes until an employee told everyone that Real ID had taken effect and we needed a birth certificate, social security, and 2 proofs of residency. He did not specify the requisite residency documents for a 16-year old other than a school transcript. We left, returned with the documents, and waited another 30 minutes. Then we were told we did not have the correct proof of residency! We wasted 2 hours at MVD Now! We then went to MVD Express on Menaul near Washington and had a great experience - ask for Brittany. read more

Went to get my license and registration renewed. I had all my documents and the whole process took less than 10 minutes. They charge a small fee for their service and it's worth every penny to avoid the incompetent DMV. They were very professional and hassle free. I will use them again. read more

If I could select negative stars I would. One would think that it would be better than the actual MVD but NOPE. 1. Lack of acknowledgment as you walk in, take a number, sit and WAIT. Wait and listen to the various conversations about protein powders, weddings, etc. 7 people sitting at terminals an hour after they opened and no one working? 2. The complete incompetence and lack of knowledge regarding out of state titles was amazing. Even when they pulled out the NADA Title book, they completely overlook the obvious examples of what title I had in my hand until they found the one that suited their point. 3. Even when a manager approved the out of state title as valid I was then told I still needed to fill out the VIN disclosure even though the vehicle was exempt. 4. "Because there's no place for your address on this title, you have to get a bill of sale signed by the seller." Mind you the vehicle was purchased out of state. With one call to the MVD customer service line which took 3 minutes, this bill of sale issue was proven to be false. 5. No willingness to contact the NM MVD to confirm any information or to validate the "information" they're giving out. (See above) Oh, and the "why wait" is a farce. I waited for 10 minutes to even be acknowledged when I was the ONLY ONE in the lobby. I went to an actual MVD after making a phone call as was in and out in 30 minutes with one little hiccup WITHOUT having to pay additional convenience fees. Incompetence, lack of customer service, lack of knowledge even from two "managers." So yeah, never again. How they received the best in Albuquerque for anything is beyond me. read more

This MVD Now is a perfect example of incompetence and is running a scam to overcharge customers. On August 19, 2020, I went into the MVD to renew my license. Two weeks later I received a TEMPORARY driver's licence which expires in a year instead of a standard 4 years license. I called MVD Now, explained the situation and they advise me to go back to this office to fix the issue. BUT suprisingly when I got there I was informed that there was nothing they could do about it, I would have to do a downgrade and PAY ONE MORE TIME MORE THAN $40 for a new driver's licence. I spoke with the office manager and district manager neither of which apologized but both which told me over and over that I would have to pay again if I wanted the 4 year licence. There was nothing they could do to correct their error. To date have not received the refund of more than $40. Never ever use this company, specially at this location...go to the government DMV for honest charging and better service. read more
