Both vehicles had the check engine light on at the time. Before even scanning the cars, the technician looked at my dashboard, clearly saw the warning light, and still proceeded to run the emission test. As most people know, if the check engine light is on, the vehicle will not pass emissions. What frustrated me is that, as a professional in the industry, he should have advised me to repair the issue first and return after the light was off. Instead, he completed the test on two cars he already knew would fail, and charged me for both. Later, I returned with the check engine light off and asked if I would pass now. His response was, "Hold on, I'm eating," which came across as dismissive and unprofessional. When I then asked why I was charged the first time if he knew I wouldn't pass, the conversation escalated. He became very rude, told me to "go somewhere else," and essentially asked me to leave. Customer service matters--especially for a business like this where honesty and guidance should come first. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this location.

I had planned on visiting one of the MVD expresses Saturday so I figured I'd get the emissions test done during my lunch break at work to get ahead. Little did I realize these guys are a one stop shop. When the guy told me I could do my registration through them I was very surprised. Sure it was a little extra but let me tell you the convenience was totally worth it. I had already dreaded the wait over at the MVD express especially seeing as the last 4 days I was going to attempt to get the emissions test done at other locations and saw vehicles being serviced. I just knew there'd be a bunch of people so it was nice to not only get the emissions done but also my registration all at the same time. Also the guy was very helpful and friendly! I'll definitely be back when I need to renew it again!

I had about an hour before my next meeting, and I vaguely remembered stopping somewhere in ABQ to get the emission done with no frills. I ended looking where I went and decided last minute to go to the same place, Brillon Brothers Car Wash and Emission Test! The service was still exceptional. There was just 1 car ahead of me and I was in and out of the shop within 15 min with some time to spare before my next meeting. It was so efficient and I felt very happy with my decision to get this thing done last minute and the time well spent there. I loved that I didn't have to book anything ahead of time. The price for emission testing was super affordable ($15 all-in with Yelp check-in discount, $15.95+tax if you aren't checked in on Yelp...so still very affordable anyways!). Aside from such fast services and affordable prices, the staff was nice, polite and kind. If you need emissions tests to satisfy DMV's requirements, go here! Very affordable. When I mentioned they had such good prices + fast service, the guy who helped me with the testing mentioned they wanted to maintain honesty and great service...and actually a lot of their customers were nearby AFB, too..so they have a great local crowd who keep using them!
