Returned the second time with all requested paperwork but they could not do the registration as we needed a NM bill of sale. They charged us nearly $50 for a VIN inspection, and advised us to go to the state DMV. We were told that if the service we paid for was not accepted by the state, they would refund the fee. At the state DMV, the MVD express VIN inspection was not accepted as it was not completely filled out. All other paperwork, which MVD express had told us was not adequate, was accepted and the vehicle was registered. I returned to MVD express ( my 4th time there) to obtain a refund and was told that I should have brought the VIN inspection back so they could complete the missing information. I told them it was a non issue, was told refund would be made by check, but as the receipt was made out to my husband (who was not present this time), even though I had paid with my credit card, they could not process the refund! I called their service number and put in a complaint-was told I would get a call back- but have not heard anything since. Pure incompetence! Will never use this business again and am telling everyone I know to stay far away from MVD express!

I was very rudely told by Taeler that he was supposed to get off work at 4 and hadn't had lunch and therefore wasn't taking anymore car titles. I said the call center said I could walk in and he responded that technically that's true but he wasn't going to do it. I have never been talked to so rudely or been treated so poorly. This man's job is customer service. I later found out that he is the subject of many complaints for his rude behavior towards customers. I don't know how he is still employed but that should be unacceptable.

I made an appointment on line through the VERY EASY process before I left the house. I get there earlier than appointment time, but there was only one person in front of me. Cristal R. finished up with her then smiled called me up to desk. She quickly went through my paperwork, ask a few questions, & ensuring everything was complete. By the time Cristal's supervisor had finished the VIN certification my plates were ready, I signed final paperwork, paid, & was out the door. The whole process took less than an hour from when I walked into the place. Our new (to us) MINI is now a New Mexican. Only negative thing I can say about the place was bathroom was out of order & for an old guy that can be concerning . Parking would be difficult for a large RV. I highly recommend this place.

I've been in 5 times to try and transfer my title from out of state and register my car. Despite…read morebrinign in my car title, the Lomas office claims that they cannot "verify" the title and they keep getting a "hard stop" from the state where it was issued. I called said state DMV office and they informed me that my title is showing up in the national data base. I have gone into MVD now, called and emailed multiple times to try to complete my registration and they refuse to call or email me back. I have reached out to my local legislator to make a complaint as this agency is keeping me from registering my car. I say skip the convenience and go to the state office or maybe try their competitor MVD express. If I could give this place no stars I would.

Granted, I…read morehad a complicated situation - I bought a trailer but later learned there were issues with the title. Three MVD Express locations and AAA's registration department COULD NOT HELP ME register my trailer! They each gave me the run around on all kinds of paperwork I needed... BUT... Rapid MVD on 10701 Corrales Rd NW was AMAZING. The person I worked with was Michael S. Uristole and his grandson who was in training. Both men were amazingly relaxed, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Michael went the extra (ten) miles for me and made calls to North Carolina and politely coaxed a dealer there to write up a documents we needed! He was patient and thoughtful and very neighborly. YES, I paid his fees (they were not cheap, but they were not more than he told me they would be. And there were a whole bunch of other fees, AND they charge 2.99% for any form of payment other than cash. But they made this clear upfront, so it was not a surprise - I was expecting it and willingly paid it, after all the stonewalling from the other places, this was a welcome relief.) All in all it cost a lot more than it would have at the regular MVD. However, I am SOOOOOOO grateful to Michael and grandson for taking care of this for me. It was well worth the pricey payment to have this long standing, seemingly impossible task completed. I would recommend this Rapid MVD to anyone who has a complicated situation and wants friendly service from knowledgeable folks. Yes, you will pay for this, but if you need this kind of assistance, it is well worth it.

The person doing my fingerprints was surly bordering on rude. She hardly said a word to me and I…read morehad to repeat questions several times to extract a few minimal words that didn't help. My fingertips are fairly worn down and she couldn't get good prints, so the entire process was a struggle from start to finish. She had the shelf set at a height for a tall person and I had to struggle to contort myself to fit the overly high fingerprint pad. I had to ask several times for her to lower it; she did once but then put it back up at the overly high setting. I had 2 background checks to send out and she insisted on taking my entire fingerprint set twice (rather than sending a copy out for the second one--it was already in the system). The hostility of this person was over the top and I will not go here again for any reason.

They only take appointments but you can make them in advance or on the kiosks in the lobby for a later time that day. At first it's a chaotic scene and there's no one there to tell you how to check in. But it becomes apparent pretty quicly. Unfortunately there's really no explanation how to use the kiosks and a large number of confused people trying to use one of the two machines. I'm fortunate because I worked in tech for 30 years and am comfortable with computers. But the elderly and non native English speakers in front of me could have used a friendly face to help them out. Appointment is a bit of a misnomer, it's more like a window. My appointment was at 10 and once I got my number it was another good 20 minutes before I was called. But the TV system is clear and lets you know where you are in the order. The clerk who helped my was sufficiently friendly and quickly walked me through the process and I was out of there about 45 minutes after checking in. DMVs are one one of those strange places, like jury duty where you see all types of people. I heard at least two people yelling at the clerks for no apparent reason. Come on, try to be nice, they're doing the best they can in a chaotic environment.
