This location gets a 5 star review because of their attitude and continued attempts to help me get my license. Due to a DUI in So Cal almost 9 years ago there were many "glitches" with communication to and from Santa Fe. The DUI process is very difficult here. It was good to have an independent company on my side with all. As we didn't have an option of a private company at CA DMV it's refreshing to be able to go to a nice clean office with very short waits. This location is rarely busy and the staff is always helpful! We always come to this location for all our registration, license and MVD needs. If you give them a call they will even set up an appointment for you and double check you have everything you need before you go!! So worth any incidental fees to avoid having to go to the traditional MVD and waste an afternoon in their lobby! read more

Made an appointment for TSA pre check. The guy looked at my documents, said no these won't work they are copies. He said I had to have certified copies. I told him these were the certified copies that those are the ones that were sent to me and he refused to accept them. Don't waste your time at this location. Go somewhere else. Funny how these forms were accepted for Real ID no issues. read more

I was totally that person today who walks in 15minutes before closing time, on a Friday, asking to get my license renewed. I thought I would get attitude and a sorry we can't help you response. Instead I got the complete opposite! Hannah was super welcoming and had the best hospitality. She was able to get me in and out in ten minutes and was extremely kind and warm the entire time. She even ensured I was okay with my picture before proceeding. I've never had that before. While I was waiting another party came in (closer to 5min before closing now) and had an extremely difficult transfer with documents that needed extra review. Hannah and her peer (Don might've been his name) didn't bat an eye to help them out! I can't say enough about how taken back I was that an MVD was not only timely, but kind as well! As of August 2023, MVD Express has 2 employees working at the call center. Regardless of what store you call, every call goes directly to the call center. Between NM and AZ, MVD Express has approximately 13 stores. It usually takes about 15 minutes for the call center employees to pick up your call. At the actual store locations, I have received good service, but don't waste your time on the phone trying to get through. read more

I made an appointment online and was greeted by an employee, only thing was they weren't ready for me and I waited, luckily not as long as the State Office would be. You do have to pay more for the convenience including a $2.35 fee for using a card to pay, which they make sure you are aware of. I was there for a disabled parking sticker and honestly felt very judged by Lulu or Lala can't remember for sure her name. Questioning my Doctor etc...... But once I explained my situation she stopped the judgement. My issue is that I shouldn't have to explain it to her, where I go to the Doctor or why is really none of her business, I had the proper forms and the proper diagnosis to qualify for this convenience which will change my life drastically. I even didn't mind paying the $36 fee to get it as going to the regular Office would have been impossible for me. I don't think employees should get involved in the why's. I shouldn't be made to feel like an explanation is needed. read more

For the uninitiated this a New Mexico MVD private vendor facility. The sole purpose is to save you from the inevitable waiting at the state office. That convenience comes at a price - $30 per transaction. 2 licenses $60 convenience fee. I was going to register my car too, but I'll brave the state office to save another $60. No discount for multiple transactions. Live and learn. The time saved vs amt paid does not equal a benefit. Ironically, the people coming in after us probably waited longer than I did at the state office less than a mile away. read more

We went in to obtain a drivers license for my mom. When she was about to take the eye test, I wanted to make sure the machine was clean. So I asked the young man (Juan) who was helping us to please clean the eye machine. Brenee, who must have overhead the conversation says to me with utter distain, that she cleaned the machine. I then replied that I asked because I did not want my mother to die from Covid-19 cleaning inadequacies on the part of MVD Express. She then began to snicker and belittle me with the customer whom she was helping. If was the most unpleasant experience I have ever had and will be contacting the BBB and placing this on YELP. Changing your name is so frustrating and hard and I came here for my second attempt at getting my name changed on my drivers license. I was SUCH a grumpy B going in and Denis was kind and patient and helped me through the process painlessly. She checked people in when they walked in and helped everything move smoothly in the office, while quickly helping me. Denis is great at her job and seems to be very motivated to help. read more

This is a new location. They relocated from Riverside Plaza. Currently I don't think the inside is really customer ready because it looks unprofessional unless they're trying a new look? The service was prompt. They did seem friendly. I'm upset though because I finally found time to go in and get a new I.D (I lost mine) but since I didn't have it converted yet to the real I.D they needed my birth certificate which was fine because I brought it just in case. I fold my birth certificate and at the crease two letters in my middle name were mostly faded and she told me she couldn't accept it. It was obvious what the letters were. She literally had my picture up on her screen which was obviously my face. I had my social security card and proofs of residency with me but just because of some fading they wouldn't accept it because she said they could be audited. The only reason an audit is bad is if the company is doing something shady right? I'm not a know it all when it comes to the IRS but from my understanding an audit is only bad if you are trying to lie about your taxes or cheat the system if not the audit isn't that big of a deal accept for some work on their part. They probably have to go through all their info. Anyways they're just trying to look out for themselves instead helping their customers. They told me to go to the main MVD instead and that they would probably accept my birth certificate. So annoying and inconvenient when the MVD EXPRESS is suppose to be convenient. Thanks for nothing. I'm never taking my business to this location again. I'll also make sure none of my family members do either. I just want to point out I did go about 30min before closing and I feel like that took part in her decision to not accept my birth certificate. read more

I went in to get a DL. The transaction went smoothly and the staff was friendly. But I was horrified to see a man walk in with a tank and start spraying pesticides, a generous stream, all around the INDOOR perimeter of this business. He was spraying in a closed window, closed door environment, around customers and their children. This is toxic and irresponsible. I don't know if the landlord or the owner of MVD express is responsible. But this needs to be addressed. Pesticides should almost never be used indoors, unless there is an infestation . In which case they should be applied with extreme caution and NEVER in the presence of customers. read more

We live about 180 miles from ABQ and My wife was in Albuquerque for a week and decided to register our pickup at this location. The girl messed up and put the wrong make on our title as well as leaving my name off even though our title and bos said and... I had to miss a day of work and drive 360 miles round trip to go get it corrected! It cost me $220 plus about $450 missed work and expenses because of their mistake and all the manager had to say was, "the girl is new and don't know the job yet". I told her that maybe she should supervise her and she said, "just be glad we fixed it and didn't charge you again". As I was walked out she said something rude to me in Spanish! Avoid this place people! I'd rather wait out the line next time. I am going to file a complaint to the state. read more

fantastic customer service, zero wait times, & no arguments with pedants over semantics! the complete opposite of everything you hate about state-run mvd locations. after being sent back, forth, & to the moon by the mvd three separate times, i decided to head to this location of mvd express. the moment i walked through the door i was not only greeted, but assisted. we were taking my license photo not even 5 minutes later, & having a lovely chat all the while. i walked back out of the door in about 10 minutes with a license & a smile! yeah, there's extra fees, but you're paying to avoid the atrocities of the state-run mvd. take your pick! read more

Don't count on this place to be professional. They don't wear name tags don't know who you're talking to and won't give you a name and the rules change on a daily basis. They assume that no one has a memory of what they were told! AND Go as far as telling you that MVD is posting information on their website that is obsolete!! And then they have the audacity to lie to you and DENY The Information they gave you. As a professional myself I find they're incompetence astonishing. They talk to several people A-day so I believe it's easy for them to get confused Over what documents are needed and what they say to customers. However I only talked to one person therefore I have a very clear memory of what Documents I was told To return with.. Denise was extremely friendly and actually even processed paperwork that should have never been processed for a previous male customer. But today she denied ever lying to me. Albuquerque is a small community and word gets around. If you're a male and appeal to Denise she will bend over backwards to make sure You like her. Otherwise she will lie! The blonde Seems to always be in a badd mood having visited this location twice now. Makes you wonder if she does drugs before she comes to work Or if she's just rude by nature.
