Have ordered from here when they first opened and it was "good" delivery. Went in because I felt like a beer. Ordered a Tsingtao and shrimp toast to have there and boneless ribs and an egg roll to take home. First of all, everyone was very friendly and quick to assist, but the food sub par. Could not finish a thing, warm beer, burnt shrimp toast, over cooked boneless ribs (tasted like yesterdays warmed back up) and the blandest (over wrapped w/too many layers) of egg roll ever. I just wasted 25$ and the only good thing, other than the nice people up front, is that warm beer gives you a buzz so it wasn't a total loss. Also have to say, watched a waiter remove glasses from the rack, fingers in the glass. Figured he'd give them a rinse as they were smudgy anyway.... nope straight to ice and he mixed a drink . Never again. read more

Beware of this place. My husband and I went for hibachi Friday night, it's now Monday and he's been sick since Saturday morning. Took him to urgent care. He has food poisoning. He had chicken and shrimp and I had steak and I'm fine. Stay away!! read more

Last evening the service was so bad, my 8 year old grandson put down his head and cried! 4 years ago we had taken them there for hibachi. Looking for a fun night with the kids we made a reservation to take them there for dinner. We had a 6 pm reservation. They bring us to our seats and squeeze us in a corner with complete strangers. We asked to be moved to some empty seats so the kids could see the hibachi grill. After waiting for an hour to get our soup or salad, we see that the chef is not going to cook at our grill. Everyone goes to hibachi for the show! We weren't going to get a show. It was so sad to see my grandchildren so disappointed. I quietly got up and asked to see a manager. The manager seemed to understand and promised that the chef would cook on our grill. What he did was turn his back on the people across from us and then they had nobody in front of them. Then he proceeded to do something I have never seen in a hibachi restaurant, he cooked one thing at a time and if you got chicken and shrimp, you got shrimp, and then maybe a half hour later you got the chicken. The only thing I will say positive is the food tasted good. They also added on the gratuity, otherwise for the first time ever, my dissatisfaction would've been reflected in the tip. I will never go back to this restaurant. read more

The party platter is the best deal on the South Shore. Call for pick up on that alone and this place is a 5. Sushi is great. Unfortunately they lost 1.5 stars because their customer service is not good. The person up front was rude as I went in to ask a few questions about the hibachi. Also, tofu was a no-go. Not good. read more

You should pick what type of restaurant you are going to be. For some reason my parents (my mom passed on) but my dad loves the place. The customer service is good just to loud and I feel the portion size could be better. They have done a recontruction in the last year so the place looks nice. If you want a nice one on one dinner its not the place but if you want to bring the whole family on a budget its the place to go for Chinese and Japanese. read more

Best Chinese restaurant for a nice sit down dinner. Good food and clean.

We spent 50 dollars on dinner. I ordered their "famous" sesame chicken and boneless spare ribs and lo mein and won ton soup. Everything was inedible, rubbery and absolutely no flavor . When I called fo complain I was told no one has ever complained about their food and therefore I was wrong. I offered to return the food to show them and she got upset and hung up on me . Customer service is horrible and food was even worse . Will never go back and highly DO NOT recommend. read more

Always come here for delivery , 45 minutes sometimes an hour not bad. Sushi is good , no real complaints honestly

If you are looking for a good Chinese restaurant in the west babylon, Lindenhurst, Babylon area then look no more. Mushroom is pricey but has the best food ever. Their menu is a combination of sushi Chinese, Japanese, and Hibachi. They have excellent fresh sushi that is as good as a stand alone sushi restaurant if not better. Their Chinese dishes are to die for. There hibachi fried rice is OMG the best. I am not able to eat Chinese food from anywhere other then Mushroom. They are the BEST! read more

I am a huge fan of Mushroom, the prices are pretty decent, but you definitely get your moneys worth. I especially love their lunch menu, their lunch box specials (Japanese menu) are great! I also really enjoy their sushi selection; the sushi bar in the restaurant is very clean and fun to sit at. I haven't tried their hibachi grill yet, but from what I've seen while in the restaurant its very entertaining. I recomend this restaurant to anyone who likes to have a combination of chinese and japanese food. Try their Shumai (shrimp dumplings, on Japanese appetizer menu) and their Shrimp Tempura Roll (special roll menu) It's amazing! read more

Service 4/5 Cleanliness 5/5 Presentation 4/5 Taste 4/5 Value 4/5 Quality 4/5 Dined in: 1 occasion------------Taken out: 3 occasions Mushroom is a more versatile choice if you're looking to eat different types of Asian foods. They offer an extensive menu of both Chinese and Japanese dishes, including Hibachi. Both the management and waitstaff are warm and welcoming. Price point runs at or slightly above the average cost for each type of food, but you get what you pay for in both flavor and portion size (which is quite generous). Special sushi rolls are beautifully decorated but lack a degree of finesse. The Crouching Tiger Roll and Kani Salad are a must. Mushroom delivers within a fairly large radius which is an additional convenience. read more

Avoid at all cost. Very terrible people. Ordered delivery and the delivery man first counted the money while standing in my doorway and then had the audacity to ask if that was all the tip he was getting. Will never order from here and I would suggest you do the same. read more

The food here is horrible. Possibly the worst Chinese/Japanese food I have ever had. We were a party of 5 and ordered numerous dishes and all were equally bad. I have given 2 stars because it is very nice inside. read more

I ordered for the first time last night and couldn't wait to get home to finish the leftovers today. Everything was fresh and tasted amazing. A little pricey but worth it!!!! read more

I went during lunch I get my order. I think the food was put on very small plates. That's a constructive criticism, that's not what I'm mad about though. I get my check. I look it over. Every price was correct except on one thing. There was an overcharge of 50 cents on one item. I show it to the waiter the correct price on the menu. He insisted it's that. He made up some story. I was thinking should I call the police for 50 cents? They are mediators. Should I just pay what I owe and not pay the 50 cents and let them call the police on me if they want? The police I wasn't embarrassed about. That it was super busy it was a holiday yes that I would've been. I paid it and left. Let's see what you accomplished with that? 1. You lost a future customer with such disrespect. I'm afraid on the amount of what you are going to overcharge next time. 2. The minute you overcharge without reason you become a thief! read more

Good place I have been coming here for years on a weekly basis i do recommend coming here, espeically if you happen to be in the west babylon area, i didnt give 5 stars because i felt the pricing was just a tade bit high. read more

Actually， I don't know why I need to pay the tip for the terrible service. I waited for a long time and no one even asked me what I want to drink. No one supplied any service during the meal time. I will never visit the please again. OMg read more

This place is AWFUL! The staff is so unbelievably rude. They treat customers like trash. As if they're doing you a favor. The 2 times I walked in to order the food for takeout there was a woman at the desk (I think it's the owner) and she greeted me with "yes what do you want?". Then my 16 year old son went in for hibachi with a friend. He gave the chef a $10 tip and the chef had the audacity to ask if he should come back for the other $10. First of all no one has to tip you and second how dare they ask for a specific amount. My son said all he did was stand there and cook he did not even make it fun for them at all. People go out for the "hibachi experience" to have a good time and it was just a boring dinner. And last they charge extra for EVERYTHING! My coworkers order lunch from here under their "lunch special" and each time the total is different. For example they once requested fried rice instead of white rice and were charged an extra $3. What? I have never ever been charged extra for fried rice from any Japanese or Chinese restaurant. My advice.....just stay away from this place! read more

My mother found a piece of metal from a Brillo pad about 3 inches long in her food today. They seemed very nonchalant about the incident. Thank God she didn't accidentally eat it. Won't be going back. read more

Terrible business. Placed a decent sized order for delivery in which we waited an hour to receive, not a problem. Proceeded to check and the order and realized we were missing multiple items. When calling the restaurant to receive the missing food took close to ANOTHER hour for that to arrive. Upon speaking with the manager they were unable to make compensation in any way. A bad business with mediocre food. read more

My wife and I eat here often, the food is always delicious and the staff is friendly and attentive. The sushi is always fresh and The Dragon roll and Godzilla roll are two favorites of mine. The Spider roll hand roll is awesome with crunchy tempura flakes and soft shell crab that will get your mouth to watering the minute you taste it! I love the cool dark atmosphere and there is also a sit down Hibachi in the restaurant as well. If your a fan of Sushi, Mandarin, Hunan or dig the Hibachi style, Mushrooms has it all as well as hot Saki or Classic Chinese Cocktails....go and enjoy!! read more

Placed an order on their website online. Website says order online as big as day. You want yummy cheap carry out Chinese food? you got it. You want good sushi, a comfortable place to eat, and great service? You got it. I'll probably never choke down the swill they call Chinese food in Naperville again. This place is way better than it's store-front look, and the people that own the place love what they do, and have for years. read more

I have been ordering from Mushroom in the past. i usually order ahead and pick up. I ordered the pad Thai with shrimp. It cost me $14 and some change. I can tell you it was not up to the Mushroom I used to order from standards. The portion size was small which is okay if the food tastes good. However the food didn't taste that great I 80% noodles 10% bean sprouts and maybe 4 jumbo shrimps. It was topped off with like 3 tablespoons of crushed peanuts. I'm really disappointed and don't think I will order from them again. Their quality seems to be going down. I honestly felt ripped off.... I would still give them 2 stars due to the past experiences. Even the lady that took my order didn't even greet me or say thank you;(I really miss the old Mushroom. I don't think I will be returning!! read more

I would give this place a good review except for the woman who works there. She is rude and hangs up on customers. Because of her I would stop going because this isn't the first time she has treated her customers so rudely over the phone. read more

I have been enjoying their Dragon Rolls for years and on special occasions, i have booked the hibachi dinner show with this restaurant and have always enjoyed it with friends and family. I went in for lunch last week. I was only given the lunch menu and when the bill came I was charged for dinner platter. They are rude and I will never go again read more

Girls night out the other night. 3 of us shared: shrimp chow fun, vegetable dumplings and chicken with pineapple. Atmosphere: In a strip mall next door to Yo Luv it yogurt. Easy to miss but I had seen it a few months back and it looked nice so I wanted to try it. Inside is much nicer than a take out place. Not glamorous and amazing but nicer than your average chinese restaurant. Food: There was nothing left on any of the the plates when we left. I really enjoyed what we ordered and it wasn't greasy. Cost: $39 including tip (we had a coupon which helped), so it was $13 for each of us. Not bad for what we got. Portions were not huge but were just right for 3 people. Service: Nothing wrong with it. They were quick and left us alone. We didn't stay long enough to see if they refilled water glasses promptly or not. We did not try the hibachi. I plan to go back and try it. I was happy and would definitely return! read more

Came with my family because of recomendation. In fact this place was horrible. Crap service will never go back!!!

Arrogant waiter... The waiter here was so antagonistic that the other waiter stepped in to try to help. The second waiter was very nice. I couldn't trust the food that the arrogant waiter served and, therefore had a terrible time. Avoid this restaurant at all costs!!! read more

The reasoning to go here is because you can. The food is unremarkable and pretty humdrum. I like the umbrellas and their particular oolong hot tea. You will not be wowed, but if you are a shopaholic or just like to sit in a Chinese restaurant and want to feel full after...xiang shou! read more

Disappointing experience. Forced to pay 18% gratuity even though the chef had his back to us the whole time and didn't even aknowledge my party of two people. Ok food but not very big portions for the price and not excessively friendly service. It is kind of dark in there. There is a small salad with take out lunch specials that I really like. There are more generous places with better food nearby. read more

Nice decor, friendly at door, had to repeat myself a dozen times to tell them I did not want to be rushed, asked specifically to give me main dish order after I finished my soup, despite this not one but two servers came up to me interrupting to ask what I wanted for a main course, not once , not twice, but three times for one a 5 for the other before I could finish my soup. However, they were less attentive with brining noodles, (not provided unless requested twice - and stale), dish ordered was not what came to table, when I complained I was told that I was wrong, menu description was not even close, also asked for dish to be made very spicy, came our bland. Waste to time and money. read more

Chinese style food was so-so. Sushi rolls were decent. Service not so great. Would not be my first choice in the future.

We had dinner at this restaurant last evening. The service was great. We loved our hibachi Chef Cheong. He entertained us with his wonderful stories and excellent chef skills. His dishes were absolutely delicious. Our server also was very personable and made an outstanding Long Island Ice Tea! Thank you for making our visit so enjoyable. We loved every minute there! I highly recommend this restaurant. read more

While the service was quick the food is nothing special. Lo Mein was actually linguine had no flavor except the hint of burnt food, like the pan was dirty or something the pork was gray unlile any pork I've ever seen, shrimp toast very oily, spring rolls no flavor, General Tsos was so sweet lots of breading and fatty. I'd never go back. Not worth what we paid, should have stuck with our usual chinese place we'd spend less for more food and it would have been delicious. read more
