Absolutely delicious! This is the only Chinese take out where everything I ordered was great. Also it was delivered hot and on time.

the food is good. it's consistent. we did have an issue where we ordered wonton egg drop soup and we only got egg drop soup. We called up. They said the next time you come in will give you a soup. We went back in and they did not honor that. I'm sure everyone understands how frustrating it is when you order something you look forward to it and then you get it and it's wrong. we decided we won't go back. But don't let that sway you, the food is consistently good. read more

For what this is .... a takeout, storefront, fast food Chinese place ... I am so happy to have found it!! the wonton soup flavor was so good not greasy & nice plump wontons. roast pork fried rice had lots of big pieces of delicious pork. And the eggroll is good. The prices are very reasonable. If I had gone to my favorite place in Nassau County, it would've been double the price. I'm sure you're definitely going back. read more

Excellent Chinese food especially for a little take out restaurant. Better food than most fancy sit down places. Always fresh and tasty. The vegetable fried rice is great with fresh not frozen vegetables. The Cantonese fried noodles, which are not always easy to find, are delicious as is everything else I have had. read more

Small takeout restaurant. Very good food. Never disappointed except when they went on vacation.

I got $70 in food and asked for 6 plates they tried to charge me $2 for plates lol never again would I go there .

If I could leave zero stars I would . I live up the block and go here often . Realized they added more on the bill without telling me . So I went back the next day ordered and went to see . They charged me an extra 2 bucks (I asked the price beforehand) point is becareful ordering here . Shady people . Always ask for the price beforehand read more

Took a chance on an odd tiny Chinese food place and was pleasantly surprised. Don't go there thinking that you are going to walk in, sit down and eat, dont even think that you are going to walk in at all. Nope, you going to walk one step in and be met by a window and a wall. Talk loud when you order because the guy on the other side of the window might not be able to hear you if you don't! This is my second time ordering from this place, yep, I went back for seconds. We had wonton soup- very good and I'm pretty picky about my soup. Egg rolls were very good. Lo mein was just eh, kind of mushy and did not really taste stir fried. Eggplant with garlic sauce was some of the best I've had and my partner in crime said the spare ribs were awesome. So I guess this will be my go to take out place now. I can definitely live with that! read more

Best Chinese food we have found in the area. The wait is never too long (pickup or delivery)

Probably one of the better tasting take out joints around. Covid has them sealed up pretty tight, lol.....as you pick your order through a plexiglass contraption at the front door. Don't matter, Wonton soup is 5 star, rest of menu so far has been flavored right and ample portions. Looking for decent Chinese take out, you've got Good Fortune here. read more

I used to go to this restaurant all the time the last time it was not good at all so we didn't order for a few months. Gave it a shot last night. Chicken was chewy rice was cold . I'm sorry I won't be returning to this restaurant again. maybe it's new owners I don't know. read more

Standard Chinese fare at reasonable prices. Be advised, this restaurant is still following COVID protocols for some reason! Nothing spectacular about this place. read more

This is a solid Chinese food restaurant in Lindenhurst. Some of our favorites from here would be the fried pork dumplings, crab rangoon and the pork fried rice. Lots of good flavors and great service. My one complaint would be that they do tend to over cook the egg rolls, but if you are into that then this is the place for you. Also order the french fries, I know it sounds weird, but you have to trust me on this. read more

New Fortune Cookie Chinese Restaurant - dumplings and potatoes - Chinese Near Me - Lindenhurst, New York

To start it, Chinese food is my favorite. Which means I can be ultra picky about where I choose to get my food from. I am not from the local area so when I had to look for a place to get food I was very intimidated by the options. After reading a bunch of reviews I had two or three options I was going to go with and made the choice of new fortune cookie. I couldn't be happier with the quality of the food and the taste profile that was cooked. I would definitely come back and look forward to trying more dishes. I ordered fried baby shrimp with white rice and a side of brown sauce. Soooo gooodddddd read more

Since I was pet sitting for my sister-in-law who lives close by, I was having a craving for American-Chinese food for dinner. The take out restaurant is located in a strip area in a decent sized parking lot. Like another review said, the restaurant name is wrong on yelp and should be Good Fortune Cookie. The appearance is your standard Chinese take out, dim lights, standard menu with lots of choices, lunch specials and combination plates. I decided to get the general tso's chicken combination plate with an egg roll and pork fried rice. The order was cooked fresh and I received it steaming hot. The flavor was overall very good and not too oily. I liked that the chicken was moist. The egg roll was also very delicious and not heavily. It was filled with shredded cabbage and small pieces of pork. The chef and counter woman were both very nice. read more

Very good General's chicken, better then most in the area with the exception of Imperial Orchid in N. Babylon, egg rolls very good as well as are the steamed dumplings.. read more

First time ordering takeout. Everything was hot and delicious. Loved it. Stay tuned for order #2!

I have been a long time customer of this place, but just ordered tonight and food was terrible! Chicken and beef was beyond chewy and even the rice was bland. They don't even throw in fortune cookies anymore, go figure with a name like "New Fortune Cookie" . I called to complain and got hung up on, then called back about the hang up and whoever answered the phone just started mumbling jibberish and didn't offer any resolution. I really thought the place was under new ownership but person on the phone said that wasn't the case. Either way last time I order from this place! Even my dog wouldn't eat the left overs! read more

Great food!! Quick delivery & good prices. Also frequently one of the only places open on holidays or during certain occurrences when others aren't open (such as hurricane sandy aftermath) read more

This is a solid Chinese food place in Lindenhurst. It's not the best I've ever had but far from the worst. We ordered from here recently and they were extremely nice and helpful on the phone. The food was good and was nice and hot when it got here. We ordered Szechuan beef, steamed dumplings, boneless spare ribs Lo mein and pork fried rice. The fried rice and ribs were really good. The Szechuan beef was good and the lo mein and dumplings were just ok. The delivery guy was nice and polite however it took over 40 minutes for our food to get here and they are literally down the block. Literally. (I didn't realize that when I ordered or else I'd have picked it up.) All in all its a solid choice if you're looking for good Chinese food in the area. read more

My family started ordering from NFC when they first opened and we never stopped. This place makes the best of everything. The food is fresh and delicious every time you order and the people who run it are very very nice. I've known several people who swore by other Chinese places in the area but after tasting take out from NFC, they abandoned their place and only order from NFC now. I've also catered parties from them several times, they never disappoint. Give this place a chance, you'll be glad you did. read more

New Fortune Cookie Chinese Restaurant - Yummmy!! - Chinese Near Me - Lindenhurst, New York

This is a good place, but not the easiest to find in the dark. The name isn't "new" fortune cookie Chinese restaurant, but "Good" Fortune Cookie Chinese Restaurant (at least that's on the menu that I posted a picture of). You would not know this from the signage outside. That said I feel lucky and glad that I did finally find it. We had the house special chicken chow mein and the singapore chow mei fun. When the lady said that they included crab in each dish, I was ecstatic. I love crab, so yeah, go for it :) Got home and started to serve up, but then I noticed... she meant "krab". Okay, I understand the convenience and cost effectiveness of using this product, but please not in house special dishes. Krab (most of the time chopped & formed pollock) isn't bad in and of itself, but it has a better purpose than to be in a house special dish. Our food was delicious, krab aside, and I will continue to enjoy my leftovers. I will order from here again even if they do use krab instead of crab, it's just that good. Just a couple of glitches that made me give this place 4 stars instead of 5. read more

New Fortune Cookie Chinese Restaurant - The menu - Chinese Near Me - Lindenhurst, New York

My family and I have been going to new fortune for years now and it's by far the best Chinese food around my area. Hot and sour soup is awesome as is pretty much anything else I've tried. Chicken with string beans with white sauce is my favorite but it's honestly all good. If u live in Lindenhurst or surrounding area def give it a try read more

Delivery took over an hour when the guy said it would take half a hour, the chicken nuggets were Like biting into rubber, it was really bad came with no mustard, shrimp was not cleaned or deveined ether, the egg rolls were flavorless, the soup tasted like fish broth, the meat did not taste like real meat, NEVER AGAIN read more

I read they had good hot and sour soup. So I went to try. I ordered takeout. It was a little less flavorful than I had anticipated, simply hot, not so sour. But the weird part came when I found 2 big slabs of tofu on the bottom. Seemed odd. Otherwise, I would say they were standard. read more

Love it.The chicken and broccoli is so good. The chicken is sliced nice and thin.Perfect.I travel many miles to this place.Worth it.

This has always been my go to Chinese take out on the Island, great food quality and taste, order never wrong, a pleasure. Most of the take out is garbage, this is the ONLY place I will order from, bravo! read more

Never tried this place before, and was very happy. I've gone to alot of Chinese restaurants in the area, but decided to go here. Ordered a variety of different things on the menu to check them out. Got the usual wonton soup, can't go wrong there. Believe me places have in that department. But their wontons were great, meaty and soft. Their pork fried rice was also good, another dish some places fall short on. Also ordered their dumplings, was not disappointed. Will return to try more dishes and appetizers. read more

Great Chinese food and open late. Delicious hot and sour soup. Yummy steam dumplings.

Don't waste your money. Food was gross. I ordered General Tso's chicken and specifically asked for white meat. I received fried flour with no chicken. When I called the store they refused to give me a refund and his only advice was "next time order the regular" there will never be a next time thanks read more

Found an dead earwig in my food. Been ordering from them for years. Not any more now.

I've searched all over this area and I'm very picky and this place does it for me all around as a takeout ,

Something wasn't quite right about my general Tsos tofu and white rice. The man behind the counter was a bit odd too. It's a one and done for me. read more
