Soup first, broth had no flavor but the wontons were good. Next came the plump eggrolls, nope, no good. Eggrolls were all cabbage and tasted like they were all cabbage, very bland. The giant vegetable dumplings were all dough with a little chopped cabbage (again with the cabbage), the dipping sauce was good. Vegetable lo mein, bland plastic noodles dammit. The best thing was the Generals Tofu (steamed), I liked the texture of the tofu and loved the sauce. I'm so confused about the amount of good reviews, maybe I'm missing something but this Jewish Chinese food expert is saying no to Hing Hing. Maybe try it for yourselves and see what you think.

Pepper steak, Pork Steamed Dumplings, Chow Mein, Wonton Soup, their Egg-rolls....all fresh and delicious. This chef must have been cooking at some high end restaurant before opening up his own little place. He could open a full service restaurant with these ingredients. We discovered this place by accident visiting a friend in area and have been back multiple times since and we live 35 miles away. Keep up the great dishes. See you soon.

I didn't use the gravy because that was quite salty(and I love salt)for me. Pork fried rice was good and fresh tasting. My son said the lo mean and boneless ribs were really good too. We've tried a few others and they hardly come close, in my opinion. I've never had a bad meal there, always a good experience, and amazing portion sizes! They tend to get crowded on weekends at dinner, but there's never more than a 15 minute wait or so. I don't even usually bother calling ahead. I don't have any photos on hand, but some of my favorite orders are chicken chow mein, roast pork with vegetables, general tsos, or beef and broccoli. Always an egg roll and egg drop soup. We rarely get Chinese take out from anywhere else on Long Island. As far as the decor - it's a counter to order with a few chairs to wait. That's more than enough. I do wish it was in a strip mall with other actual stores (not a dance studio and professional hair products store) just for something to do. Figured to just order some standard staples assuming it couldn't be too strange or foreign to cuisine ordered elsewhere. Went with a Lo Mein with Pork fried Rice dinner combo special that was accompanied with an egg roll. Added a quart sized wonton soup and a Scallion Pancake appetizer, aka. Chinese Pizza. The Lo Mein had a fresh but interesting long squared shape that felt a little wider/thicker than what I recall being the norm, long rounded thinner style, with little to no real distinct flavor outside of anything you potentially added to it. The pork fried rice again standard and bland in any flavor highlights. The Wonton soup appearance a bit darker in broth color than maybe other locations, but quality of size, shaping and internal flavor was good. The scallion pancakes were just ok, not overly oily which is a plus but the scallion flavor wasn't there. The knife cuts precisely small and scattered throughout, but not enough added to actually give the flavor expected. Additionally the dipping sauce which in the past I have been told to be more of a dumpling styled sauce had an interesting, but off vinegar to soy ratio I felt. All in all just okay, but didn't exactly satisfy the craving that lead us there to try them in the first place.
