Mushroom, predictable Asian fare. Very busy menu.wonderful options for online ordering for pick up delivery and express dine in (love that option) .
Prices are modest. Sushi selection is delightful and can please any maki lover. The futomaki roll is a savory treat. Starting with ground dried egg, cucumber, fresh avocado, crabstick, pickles, and radish kanyo. Your everyday hibachi style section of the menu would only be appealing to a Asian cuisine 1st timer. Nothing innovative or unique that caught my eye on the hibachi . Huge variety or appetizers to choose from. Both cold and hot, raw and cooked. The shrimp toast were fun little bite sized breaded shrimp stuffed with some type of cabbage.. HowevEr, very disappointed by the everyday duck sauce paired with for dipping. The entrees were fun, both traditional and original fare vacate this section. I'd usually rave if I find an Asian or asain inspired dish that sends my palate to the moon. However, simplicity is often the key to getting an overall picture n what the menu is about, and that folks is the sesame chicken. Yes, sesamem chicken. Ultra tender all white meat chicken breast breaded to perfection and served with a decent portion at a wonderful price. Other recommendations would have to be the tangerine chicken and the Hong Kong steak and Thai prawns.
Some things I suggest you stay away from is the pineapple fried rice. Not your typical pineapple rice. Being I'm A huge fan of pineapple fried rice , I'd like to think I'm a great judge when sampling such a dish. I found the rice to be extreamly soggy and oily. No texture, no crunch ,rice was paired with some marinated shredded chicken that was distributed throunghout the plate. Chicken reminded me more of Spanish/Latin flavors. The pad Thai wasn't very good either. Over seansned and again soggy to the touch. Kind of felt like baby food as soon as took a bite.
Dessert menu is weak and you're better off going to yo'luv it next door for a night cap.
Service was awful. i dont look like your typical dinner. I often see other patrons being treated differently, getting better service, more attention. Being in the restaurant business for so many years and an avid foodie. I know what type of service one should receive. To say the least my server never checked back on me, saw him when he was dropping off courses. No knowledge of the drunk menu, nor a detailed beverage menu highlighting the alluring cold sake display at the sushi bar. That was a bit disappointing. Sure did receive a great deal of attention when I got my bill. staff was hovering over my table and circling like vultures in the night.
All and all a good experience and I would be back. But with age comes wisdom, take caution when ordering and remember to keep it simple when you order. Nothing to crazy or foreign to you, you may very well be disappointed. read more
