The restaurant in Santa Monica has a beautiful modern, and upscale interior. Parking is not easy to find. So I definitely recommend using value parking. The restaurant itself is not very big, so it can get little noisy when it's full. However, the overall atmosphere is amazing elegant, stylish, and perfect for date night or celebration special dinner. The service was also excellent almost Michelin level. From the moment we're walk in, everything feels very professional and welcoming. Food even better well I was expected. Every dish, we ordered were delicious, amazing, creative and high-quality ingredient, and some of dished even surprised me. One thing that really stood out was the owner. He personally came to greet every table, and he was extremely polite, friendly and warm. I can see why this restaurant has so many returning customers. The guests dining there were also very well dressed, which made the whole experience feel even more refined. Overall, this was a wonderful dining experience. The price is definitely on the higher side, but considering on the quality of the ingredients, the service, and the atmosphere, I think it matches the level of the restaurant.

Muse is truly a muse. (One who inspires artistic creativity). Muse amuses and amazes turning out wonderful food attended to by a legion of professional Servers. The Decor: Understated elegance begs patrons to dust off their finery although some showed up in shorts and flip flops. Go figure. They should create a Go Fund Me and buy some classy duds. But, hey, it's Santa Monica. Come as you are is de rigueur. The interior is beautiful and anchored by a small cool/hot Bar. The dining room has a few cozy booths (prime real estate) and the rest mostly two tops so close together that if the guy at the next table wearing Cargo Pants didn't trim his nose hairs, he'd tickle your chin every time he exhales. No matter, it's a small price to pay for excellent food. The Bar: Features a substantial curated wine list along with Cocktails and Spirts. My La Grendade had Pomegranate Juice, Sparkling Wine and Muddled Mint. Have three and a muddled brain. This was as refreshing as the Beach just outside and across PCH. It was a lovely libation. The Staff: Each and everyone a bright Penny. Attentive and helpful whether a Server, Runner or Crumber collecting shards of the magical Brioche which must be ordered. All the servers paid attention is staff prep and can easily orchestrate a wonderful dining experience. You are in good hands. The Food: Blindfolded you could poke at the menu and not make a mistake. Everything that comes out of the kitchen is stellar. Paul Bocuse and Eugenie Brazier are smiling down at Muse from Heaven's Kitchen. As stated above the Brioche should be the first thing you order. If your A1C is a little out of whack to begin with it will remain so plus after you inhale two of these flakey little laminated Soccer Balls of crunch that launch shreds of crispy light buttery crust in every direction as you tear into it. This is not really a Brioche as much as a Croissant calling itself a Brioche. Probably because Croissant harkens breakfast and would tend to be overlooked. Dominique Ansell eat your heart and Cronut out! This is better than that. You will be elbow deep in "Brioche" crumbs by the time you receive your Veal Bon Bons. These were three breaded savory "Truffles" with a Demi-glaze dot and Sauce Verte (aka Chimichurri). Go ahead, indulge yourself. Life is mean cruel and short. Make a dent in your stent and enjoy devouring a Cow's baby. Even though I tend to order responsibly these should be available by the bucket full. Market Lettuce with what's freshest Herbs were dressed in White Balsamic Vinaigrette which was oh so European. It was a lovely composed Salad with a sweet/tart Dressing. Any Brioche left? Get ready to mop and sop. The Salad reminded me of what my sainted Mum used to make for company. My tears added to the enjoyment this sophisticated very French refreshing offering. The Hamachi with Yuzu Olive Oil and Calabrian Chili Coulis would be welcome at any high end Kaiseki experience. The Yellowtail was a soft as Cashmere but tastier due to a slow crawl of heat vibrant enough to tingle the tongue. Moltiterno Mantaletti were actually little Pirate Hats of pasta stuffed Pecorino-Roman Cheese and topped with a ladle full of creamy Xeres Spanish Sherry. A hefty scrap of Black Truffles finished the presentation. This was off the charts good. Get some. The Main Event was Baby Chicken (aka Cornish Game Hen, a fugitive from every Mah Jongg Game during the 60's). This came with Legumes du jour and Jus just for you. Spatchcocked and roasted I toasted it before digging in and left nothing behind. Delectable. The Little Chicken came with Roasted Cauliflower with a Golden Raisin Puree. Alas, it arrived cool having spent too much time on the Pass Through waiting for the Chicken to cross the road, but you know, even so, it was really good. Finally, my Server set up a luggage rack and a Runner brought the Dessert Tray. A tureen of Tiramisu winked at me. Tiramisu is probably on the menu at Denny's and is often passed up for being too pedestrian. The Muse version is ethereal and soared to the clouds. What a fine meal and how lovely to have a credible excellent French Bistro in town. My little muse, I must have all of you.

Got dressed up and went for my birthday dinner and had such a special night. Chef Fardad was there and welcomed my husband and I so warmly, he came back to check on us a few times and even helped plate our servings. Thoroughly enjoyed the bread and butter, the pesto pasta, and the lamb chops with herb crusting were a special treat. Didn't go unnoticed that they were served with a sauce that took 3 days to make. I got the lemon tart for dessert from the dessert cart, a seasonal treat that had perfect texture, shoutout to Chef Fardad's brother who he said is the dessert chef. Service really makes or breaks an experience for a celebration dinner and I'm so glad we trusted Muse to make my night!

What a beautiful, special birthday dinner. From the moment you walk into this jewel box of a restaurant, it feels special, from the service to the food, I really loved this meal. Started with the brioche and veal bon bons, the brioche was so good, we had to order another. The bon bons were delicious, but I wish they were more than one bite. For the second course we ordered the creste di gallo and mushroom risotto. The pesto was so fragrant and herbaceous, so fresh and delicious and the risotto was great, but the mushrooms were my favorite part. Third course we ordered the filet mignon, baby chicken and octopus. The filet was one of the best pieces of meat I've ever had, truly prime, beyond tender and didn't need a sauce, but it was also delicious. The baby chicken was tender, but very small, with a rich sauce. The octopus was perfectly cooked with char for texture, and a few different sauces and spreads. We also ordered pomme pave, which was salty and crunch and creamy, such a great side. We didn't order dessert because we brought a birthday cake, but they looked amazing. The waitress, staff and manager all came to our table multiple times, changed plates between courses, filled cocktails and water often, and made the night special from beginning to end with birthday cards and macaroons to go as a gift.

This is my new favorite restaurant! Muse was amazing in every way. The food, decor, service was all top tier. The way that everyone checked on me was nice. I will definitely be coming back.

An absolutely fantastic experience at Muse! The restaurant was beautiful, it's small and intimate with excellent lighting but not so dark you feel silly with your phone trying to read the menu. It's incredibly chic. Ordered the brioche, crudo, pesto pasta, pomme pave, lamb, and tiramisu. The standouts were the crude, pomme pave, lamb, and tiramisu. I think the only one that was good but not mind-blowing was the pesto pasta. Everything else was so well executed and stunning.  However, what stands out about Muse is the service. They have impeccable service and memorably so. Cocktails were also amazing. Would love to go back. Intentional, excellent ambiance, fantastic food.

If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would! I came here to celebrate my wedding anniversary with my husband and the service was absolutely impeccable. Everyone made us feel so special, they even wrote us a card and gave us some macarons to go home with! The whole restaurant is very intimate, with only about 12 seating arrangements (including booths and tables). The interior is stunning and so unique unlike any other restaurant I've been to. The food is definitely the best part of this place, as every single bite of food we had was 12/10 in flavor. The chef here is so talented, this was some of the best food I've had! We ordered the brioche, beets, hamachi crudo, branzino and rack of lamb for entrees, and seasonal raspberry cake/brioche gelato for dessert. Highly recommend this place to anyone who is having anything to celebrate! We will definitely be coming back!

Came back after a few months and had another superb experience. Wow, Wow, Wow! This time we were helped by Agatha who provided wonderful service along with the team around her. Hospitality by Mathew and Fardad was also outstanding. We repeated some of the dishes we had last time but also tried new ones and once again every dish was simply outstanding. The attention to detail on every plate and with each ingredient is excellent and that of course results in delicious food. This is food, hospitality and facility worthy of a Michelin star!

We celebrated our anniversary at this place. Food was amazing, top service and great ambiance and vibe! The owner came to check on us. At the end we were so full and couldn't eat anymore dessert. The owner insisted on us eating even just sorbet. We waiting and he brought us a small dessert on the house with a little note for our celebration. That small act of kindness and love made us feel so special. We will definitely be back.

Chef and owner Fardad Khayami created this modern and chic French restaurant Muse with David Gelland. It's art deco inspired with moody lighting and near the PCH. The interior is very classic with velvet and woods. There is usually a serious art collection on display that they change every few months; in the past they had a selection or works by Joan Miró. The restaurant is intimate and only seats about 35 people in total; the bar has 4 seats where you can also dine. There's a simple cocktail menu and curated wine list by Matthew Royal. My favorites were the appetizers. Loved the gorgeous looking brioche with butter and the fresh tuna tartlets. Also tried the "limited availability" caramelized shallot tart with St. Agur blue cheese. The pastries are created in house and are works of art. The pastry chef is the owner's younger brother, Nikdad Khayami. My favorite is the chocolate caramel tart and it's smooth, velvety and fantastic.

I had been wanting to go to Muse for my birthday and couldn't get a good reservation for a month! Finally we made it and I understood why. The restaurant is really small and has like 12 tables so reservation are limited for this reason. But, you have to go and experience it all. I'm glad I didn't give up. And I told this to our waiter who kept this in mind until dessert when he brought me a candle for my belated birthday. Everything was so outstanding! The flavors were wonderful! I loved each dish! I would definitely go back for the corn risotto and branzino hands down! But, still, everything was delicious! Well done!

Muse is a beautifully appointed, intimate restaurant in Santa Monica. The space is small and cozy, with a stunning bar, chic chandeliers, and tufted wall accents that create an elegant yet inviting atmosphere. The service was warm and attentive, adding to the overall experience. The food was very good, and we shared everything. Highlights included the hamachi with yuzu (I always love yuzu), veal bites, and beets with goat cheese sabayon. The beef cheek ravioli stood out--the homemade dough had the perfect chew, and the sauce was rich and deeply flavored with morels. That said, five pieces for $62 felt steep. We also enjoyed the Branzino, potato pavé, and ended on a bright note with the lemon tart. The cocktail menu had some great options, adding to the experience. My only nitpick was the pacing--dishes came out too quickly, making the meal feel rushed. Street parking is available a few yards up, otherwise valet is an option. Looking forward to coming back!

Absolutely fantastic dining experience at Muse, an astonishing restaurant. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted in a warm, inviting atmosphere that perfectly set the tone for the evening. The food was, simply put, outstanding. We started with the house brioche which was the best bread I have ever had. Then we had the Veal BonBons, which were perfectly cooked and so addicting. For the main course, the filet mignon was perfectly cooked tender, rich, and packed with flavor. The head chef, Fardad, even came to our table and gave us his own twist by mixing the sauce for the steak and the potatoes we ordered to make a special blend of perfectly complimenting sauces. But what truly made this dinner unforgettable wasn't just the food--it was the exceptional service. The staff here is simply incredible. Staff were warm, friendly, and knowledgeable, without being overbearing, and made us feel like we were the only table in the restaurant, even though it was fully booked. Dessert was an absolute must, made by the brother of the head chef/owner who was very present in engaging with us and everyone at the restaurant. If you're looking for an unforgettable experience with impeccable service and a menu that doesn't disappoint, Muse is an absolute gem. I truly cannot wait to return!

The menu here has a a great selection of french dishes, pasta dishes, appetizers, and desserts to top it off (even though I was too stuffed for that). For an appetizer the table ordered the Pan Con Tomate with Prosciutto and even though it's not something I would of personally picked, I did enjoy the small amount I had. For a main course I went with one of my favourite dishes of all time, Steak Frites! Massilia did not skimp on portions here or kill you with price. The steak itself was served with an absolutely amazing chimichurri sauce and a boat load of french fries. Every aspect of the plate was incredible and for $32? Yeah, I'll be coming back in the future. The steak was served rare and was absolutely mouth watering while the french fries were crispy and had great flavour. Overall, Massilia was perfect choice for dinner and an absolute gem in Santa Monica. The atmosphere and restaurant were amazing, the staff was delightful, and the food was perfect. I couldn't recommend this place more if I wanted too, I'll definitely be back in the future!

I also loved their open kitchen concept that I can watch them cook. How cool is that! Everyone in the kitchen was professional. The kitchen was also clean and organized which made it a great experience dinning there. Watching the chefs cook our meals was exciting and interesting at the same time. They also have a bar which I got the espresso martini from. Martini was sweetened to the maximum level for me. But I didn't mind at all because i treated it as a drink option for sweet dessert. We ordered crepe and onion soup: classic French cuisines. Crepe was soft and perfectly cooked with a delicate texture that paired well with a cheese sauce on top. Onion soup was light with a balanced flavors of tangy, sweetness from onions and cheese. Fried bread sticks made it perfect for dipping into the soup. Rockfish was moist, fresh, and delicate dish that people should get at this restaurant. I squeezed the fresh lemon on the fish and its juice made the sauce delicious. Summer squash was deliciously seasoned. We ordered the steak -medium- and it was tender as well as moist with peppery au jus sauce. All the dishes that I tried there were 5 out of 5. Thank you Paul- for your hospitality and friendly service- which added a huge plus to my experience of dining here as my first visit. I will definitely come back here to try their duck dishes that they are specialized in. Highly recommend this restaurant if you want to try French cuisines without having to travel to France.

Pasjoli is undeniably a cute date-night spot. I was torn between Beethoven and Pasjoli, and while Beethoven would've been my safe choice (because pasta rarely lets me down), I decided to be adventurous. Almond recommended the pork chop, and in hindsight, I should have listened. I chose the steak frites instead, and it just didn't quite meet my expectations. Looking back, it probably should have been my sign when the gentleman updating us on our dishes joked that I was "brave" for claiming the steak frites. My husband ordered the burger and really enjoyed it. I tried a bite, and while it wasn't my favorite, I'm also not much of a burger person. What truly stood out were the asparagus and cordon bleu chicken wings both were excellent and definitely worth ordering. Moral of the story: trust Almond. She clearly knew what she was talking about. Next time, I'll be skipping the steak frites, ordering the pork chop, and getting the asparagus and cordon bleu chicken wings again without hesitation.

Our server checked in occasionally, but when we actually wanted to order another round of drinks, he was nowhere to be found and had to do some significant amount of watching to find him and get his attention. One thing that worked really well: he took orders by seat, which made checkout shockingly painless. Scan the QR code at the table, select your seat, and all your items are right there. Splitting ten ways was easy. Note: if you're paying via Inkind, you can't split by seat but you can enter your specific amount. Food: * LeBowl: My order and I'm absolutely coming back for this. Grains, veggies, and a surprisingly generous portion of chicken on top. Hearty, fresh, and satisfying. * Hummus appetizer: We got two for the table. The menu says it comes with focaccia... the bread was oiled and toasted and delicious, but I wouldn't call it focaccia. No complaints though! * Wine: Picked one blind off the menu, enjoyed it. Easy win. It is a little pricey... but maybe that's just Los Angeles these days. Parking: There is a big lot in the back. I somehow did not know this and parked a block away. At least I got a little post-dinner stroll in!

Zinqué is one of the most reliable and well-balanced spots in Santa Monica for a casual but…read moreelevated café and wine bar experience. The atmosphere is what immediately stands out. It has a relaxed, European feel with a clean, open layout that works just as well for a morning coffee as it does for an evening glass of wine. It is comfortable, social, and easy to spend a few hours in without feeling rushed. The food is consistently good and well executed. The menu leans toward simple, French-inspired dishes done right rather than anything overly complex. Everything feels fresh, well portioned, and thoughtfully prepared. It is the kind of place where you can order a few items to share and know they will all be solid. The drink selection is another strong point. The wine list is approachable but well curated, and the coffee program holds up for daytime visits. It transitions seamlessly from café to wine bar, which is part of what makes it so versatile. Service is efficient and low-pressure, which fits the overall concept perfectly. Overall, Zinqué is not about being flashy. It is about consistency, atmosphere, and quality across the board. A great go-to spot whether you are meeting friends, working during the day, or having a relaxed dinner.

Creme Brulee ($16) - standard dish; would be nice to see a fruit garnish though I felt that the overall dining experience was good, would be nice have the server crumb the table before dessert service. Please bring back the Profiteroles on the dessert menu; I was looking forward to trying that but got disappointed to hear that the chef removed it.

Well, Dine LA is happening and what better way than to try places you've been eyeing. I've heard good things about this place from friends that's been numerous of times and each visit was always amazing. Of course as it's part of Dine LA, it was a given to come and try this place for the first time. We had a reservation on a Friday night which was the start of Dine LA and let me say, this place was packed. Every single tables inside and out was utilized. They've made a name for themselves if it was that lively. Good on their part. It wasn't a long wait till our table was ready. We got seated on the patio side just along the street. Covered canopy with both hi top tables and standard tables. Positive side, there were loads of heat lamps as well as heated fireplaces separating pretty much all the tables. Gotta keep everyone warm during our LA winter. Inside is quite small compared to the seating outdoor with only a few tables. As Dine LA was happening, they offered a three course meal for 45.00 per person. If you weren't interested in that, their regular menu does offer loads of amazing dishes as well. We started off a bottle of their French Pinot which was quite nice. Not too strong and very smooth. Nice pair for dinner. Service was excellent and was taken good care by our waitress which I didn't get her name. She was great and very friendly. Dine LA Menu Starters -Soupe a l'oignon (French onion soup) melted Gruyère and brioche croutons -Ahi tuna tartare- avocado, balsamic reduction and spicy Cajun chips -Escargot a l'ail- 1/2 dozen escargot in garlic and parsley butter Mains -Boeuf Bourguignon- slow roasted beef stew with creamy potatoes puree in red wine sauce -Coq au Vin- braised chicken leg with glazed carrots, pearl onions and bordelaise sauce -Moules Frites (Mussels and fries)- PEI mussels in bisque sauce with garlic, Chablis, brandy Dessert -Crème brûlée- vanilla bean and turbinando sugar -Apple tarte tatin- caramelized apples with puff pastry dough and caramel sauce -Profiteroles- choux dough filled with vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce and roasted almonds. We each went with one of the starters. The French onion soup was perfect. The broth with the melted cheese, it was amazing. The flavors of everything paired together were perfect. Tuna tartare was great. The seasoning with the glaze and chips to paired with was great. Also fish was perfect and fresh. Lastly the escargot. If this doesn't scream French, I didn't know what does. I've had it at other restaurants and I can say this was amazing. The garlic sauce was perfect. Snails had a nice taste to it and quite tasty. Not tough at all. Everything was excellent. Mains, the boeuf Bourguignon was tasty. Nice chunks of beef with a nice thick sauce and pared with mashed potatoes. Sauce was excellent and not too strong. And the mussels, which was a hefty portion. The sauce which was like a lobster bisque was excellent. I'm use to a wine broth but the bisque was amazing. Nice meaty mussels cooked perfectly. We had to order a side of baguette for the bisque. Dessert, the profiteroles which I highly recommend. Two amazing pieces of puffed pastries filled with vanilla ice cream and topped with chocolate sauce. Mouthwatering at its best. And lastly the apple tarte, the right amount of sweetness and baked to perfection also served with ice cream. I can say that my first time here was amazing. The service, the food and everything was amazing. Not only dinner, they're also offering Dine LA for lunch. Regardless, it's going to be a priority to come back for another meal. The full menu looked amazing. Food was delicious and everyone left full and satisfied. Oh, there's some street parking if you could find them but loads of parking structures nearby.

I was easy street parking across the street and the restaurant has nice indoor and outdoor seating. For starter I ordered crab cakes and mussels with truffles & mushrooms. From dine LA menu, I ordered escargot cooked with garlic and parsley butter, I wish they just cook with traditional way, I did not like that taste of parsley in it. Boeuf Bourguignon was the main entree and I had a high hope for it since I really miss eating it. When it arrived the portion was small. It tasted no where close to authentic. I was really disappointed. Crème Brûlée was acceptable. It could be a nice hang out spot with friends for happy hour and live music but do not expect authentic French food.
