I celebrated my birthday last night at Muse with my family. I've been hearing about the restaurant for a long time and decided to celebrate here. You have to make a reservation 2 weeks in advance on Resy, and I suggest setting an alarm, as reservations fill up quickly. I didn't realize how small the restaurant is, which is why reservations go quickly. The restaurant is very chic, and there isn't anything like this in LA. We started with the Brioche feuilletée with softened Bordier butter (amazing kind of like a croissant, and the butter was excellent), Market lettuce & herbs dressed with white balsamic vinaigrette (also great; liked the dressing, but it was a bit too much dressing), and the Hamachi with yuzu olive oil & Calabrian chili coulis (very good but not big). I had a glass of Bourgogne Pinot Noir, which was fantastic!! For my main course, I got the filet mignon, which was very good. My family got the rack of lamb, branzino, and Creste di gallo with basil pesto pasta, which they loved. They brought a dessert cart, and I picked the raspberry cake, which was amazing. The Chef/Owner, Fardad, stopped by our table at the end of our dinner, and it was nice to meet him and hear how he started Muse. Everything was great, including the service. I will say it's an expensive restaurant, but it's an experience, and I definitely recommend it for a special occasion! I would definitely come back!

Staff is personal and always lovely to chat with. | O V E R A L L| If you ever want to break the bank with your family or celebrate with that special someone this is the restaurant! MUSE has elevated every part of their dining experience and I have no bad comments. They change items seasonally, but what makes this place top notch is that their staples stay consistent! I will forever crave all their desserts and filet! Can't praise MUSE enough and if you live on the west side do yourself a favor and pay them a visit.

Muse is truly a muse. (One who inspires artistic creativity). Muse amuses and amazes turning out wonderful food attended to by a legion of professional Servers. The Decor: Understated elegance begs patrons to dust off their finery although some showed up in shorts and flip flops. Go figure. They should create a Go Fund Me and buy some classy duds. But, hey, it's Santa Monica. Come as you are is de rigueur. The interior is beautiful and anchored by a small cool/hot Bar. The dining room has a few cozy booths (prime real estate) and the rest mostly two tops so close together that if the guy at the next table wearing Cargo Pants didn't trim his nose hairs, he'd tickle your chin every time he exhales. No matter, it's a small price to pay for excellent food. The Bar: Features a substantial curated wine list along with Cocktails and Spirts. My La Grendade had Pomegranate Juice, Sparkling Wine and Muddled Mint. Have three and a muddled brain. This was as refreshing as the Beach just outside and across PCH. It was a lovely libation. The Staff: Each and everyone a bright Penny. Attentive and helpful whether a Server, Runner or Crumber collecting shards of the magical Brioche which must be ordered. All the servers paid attention is staff prep and can easily orchestrate a wonderful dining experience. You are in good hands. The Food: Blindfolded you could poke at the menu and not make a mistake. Everything that comes out of the kitchen is stellar. Paul Bocuse and Eugenie Brazier are smiling down at Muse from Heaven's Kitchen. As stated above the Brioche should be the first thing you order. If your A1C is a little out of whack to begin with it will remain so plus after you inhale two of these flakey little laminated Soccer Balls of crunch that launch shreds of crispy light buttery crust in every direction as you tear into it. This is not really a Brioche as much as a Croissant calling itself a Brioche. Probably because Croissant harkens breakfast and would tend to be overlooked. Dominique Ansell eat your heart and Cronut out! This is better than that. You will be elbow deep in "Brioche" crumbs by the time you receive your Veal Bon Bons. These were three breaded savory "Truffles" with a Demi-glaze dot and Sauce Verte (aka Chimichurri). Go ahead, indulge yourself. Life is mean cruel and short. Make a dent in your stent and enjoy devouring a Cow's baby. Even though I tend to order responsibly these should be available by the bucket full. Market Lettuce with what's freshest Herbs were dressed in White Balsamic Vinaigrette which was oh so European. It was a lovely composed Salad with a sweet/tart Dressing. Any Brioche left? Get ready to mop and sop. The Salad reminded me of what my sainted Mum used to make for company. My tears added to the enjoyment this sophisticated very French refreshing offering. The Hamachi with Yuzu Olive Oil and Calabrian Chili Coulis would be welcome at any high end Kaiseki experience. The Yellowtail was a soft as Cashmere but tastier due to a slow crawl of heat vibrant enough to tingle the tongue. Moltiterno Mantaletti were actually little Pirate Hats of pasta stuffed Pecorino-Roman Cheese and topped with a ladle full of creamy Xeres Spanish Sherry. A hefty scrap of Black Truffles finished the presentation. This was off the charts good. Get some. The Main Event was Baby Chicken (aka Cornish Game Hen, a fugitive from every Mah Jongg Game during the 60's). This came with Legumes du jour and Jus just for you. Spatchcocked and roasted I toasted it before digging in and left nothing behind. Delectable. The Little Chicken came with Roasted Cauliflower with a Golden Raisin Puree. Alas, it arrived cool having spent too much time on the Pass Through waiting for the Chicken to cross the road, but you know, even so, it was really good. Finally, my Server set up a luggage rack and a Runner brought the Dessert Tray. A tureen of Tiramisu winked at me. Tiramisu is probably on the menu at Denny's and is often passed up for being too pedestrian. The Muse version is ethereal and soared to the clouds. What a fine meal and how lovely to have a credible excellent French Bistro in town. My little muse, I must have all of you.

Super cute restaurant. It's really a tiny jewelry box. I celebrated my birthday here and it was everything. Great customer service. The staff is really personable. We ordered the bread and crudo to start, both of which were really good. The bread is so buttery and the crudo melts in your mouth. We ordered the lamb, steak, duck ravilo, and branizo with a side of fries (called something else in the menu). Everything was really good, but it needed salt. The branzeno was my favorite, even though I didn't care for the white sauce. We ordered the tiramisu and some other dessert. The tirasumi is so good but very coffee-forward. So if that's not your thing. Skip

What a beautiful, special birthday dinner. From the moment you walk into this jewel box of a restaurant, it feels special, from the service to the food, I really loved this meal. Started with the brioche and veal bon bons, the brioche was so good, we had to order another. The bon bons were delicious, but I wish they were more than one bite. For the second course we ordered the creste di gallo and mushroom risotto. The pesto was so fragrant and herbaceous, so fresh and delicious and the risotto was great, but the mushrooms were my favorite part. Third course we ordered the filet mignon, baby chicken and octopus. The filet was one of the best pieces of meat I've ever had, truly prime, beyond tender and didn't need a sauce, but it was also delicious. The baby chicken was tender, but very small, with a rich sauce. The octopus was perfectly cooked with char for texture, and a few different sauces and spreads. We also ordered pomme pave, which was salty and crunch and creamy, such a great side. We didn't order dessert because we brought a birthday cake, but they looked amazing. The waitress, staff and manager all came to our table multiple times, changed plates between courses, filled cocktails and water often, and made the night special from beginning to end with birthday cards and macaroons to go as a gift.

The restaurant in Santa Monica has a beautiful modern, and upscale interior. Parking is not easy to find. So I definitely recommend using value parking. The restaurant itself is not very big, so it can get little noisy when it's full. However, the overall atmosphere is amazing elegant, stylish, and perfect for date night or celebration special dinner. The service was also excellent almost Michelin level. From the moment we're walk in, everything feels very professional and welcoming. Food even better well I was expected. Every dish, we ordered were delicious, amazing, creative and high-quality ingredient, and some of dished even surprised me. One thing that really stood out was the owner. He personally came to greet every table, and he was extremely polite, friendly and warm. I can see why this restaurant has so many returning customers. The guests dining there were also very well dressed, which made the whole experience feel even more refined. Overall, this was a wonderful dining experience. The price is definitely on the higher side, but considering on the quality of the ingredients, the service, and the atmosphere, I think it matches the level of the restaurant.

An absolutely fantastic experience at Muse! The restaurant was beautiful, it's small and intimate with excellent lighting but not so dark you feel silly with your phone trying to read the menu. It's incredibly chic. Ordered the brioche, crudo, pesto pasta, pomme pave, lamb, and tiramisu. The standouts were the crude, pomme pave, lamb, and tiramisu. I think the only one that was good but not mind-blowing was the pesto pasta. Everything else was so well executed and stunning.  However, what stands out about Muse is the service. They have impeccable service and memorably so. Cocktails were also amazing. Would love to go back. Intentional, excellent ambiance, fantastic food.

Got dressed up and went for my birthday dinner and had such a special night. Chef Fardad was there and welcomed my husband and I so warmly, he came back to check on us a few times and even helped plate our servings. Thoroughly enjoyed the bread and butter, the pesto pasta, and the lamb chops with herb crusting were a special treat. Didn't go unnoticed that they were served with a sauce that took 3 days to make. I got the lemon tart for dessert from the dessert cart, a seasonal treat that had perfect texture, shoutout to Chef Fardad's brother who he said is the dessert chef. Service really makes or breaks an experience for a celebration dinner and I'm so glad we trusted Muse to make my night!

This is my new favorite restaurant! Muse was amazing in every way. The food, decor, service was all top tier. The way that everyone checked on me was nice. I will definitely be coming back.

Chocolate Tarte Dessert with Rose Gelato

I honestly never typically write reviews, but I just had to after my experience at Muse. First of all, it is so beautiful inside. All the details complement one another so well and I truly felt transported. The entire staff from the hostess at the door, to our waiter Josh, to the chef Fardad were all incredibly hospitable, welcoming and truly made the experience. Not to mention the food was absolutely delicious and the drinks were amazing as well! I would highly recommend the Brioche bread, the Tuna Tartlets, Saffron Risotto, the Branzino, and the chocolate tarte with the rose gelato for dessert (one of the best desserts I have ever had). I would recommend Muse to anyone and definitely suggest going here for an incredible dining experience!

Came back after a few months and had another superb experience. Wow, Wow, Wow! This time we were helped by Agatha who provided wonderful service along with the team around her. Hospitality by Mathew and Fardad was also outstanding. We repeated some of the dishes we had last time but also tried new ones and once again every dish was simply outstanding. The attention to detail on every plate and with each ingredient is excellent and that of course results in delicious food. This is food, hospitality and facility worthy of a Michelin star!

We celebrated our anniversary at this place. Food was amazing, top service and great ambiance and vibe! The owner came to check on us. At the end we were so full and couldn't eat anymore dessert. The owner insisted on us eating even just sorbet. We waiting and he brought us a small dessert on the house with a little note for our celebration. That small act of kindness and love made us feel so special. We will definitely be back.

Chef and owner Fardad Khayami created this modern and chic French restaurant Muse with David Gelland. It's art deco inspired with moody lighting and near the PCH. The interior is very classic with velvet and woods. There is usually a serious art collection on display that they change every few months; in the past they had a selection or works by Joan Miró. The restaurant is intimate and only seats about 35 people in total; the bar has 4 seats where you can also dine. There's a simple cocktail menu and curated wine list by Matthew Royal. My favorites were the appetizers. Loved the gorgeous looking brioche with butter and the fresh tuna tartlets. Also tried the "limited availability" caramelized shallot tart with St. Agur blue cheese. The pastries are created in house and are works of art. The pastry chef is the owner's younger brother, Nikdad Khayami. My favorite is the chocolate caramel tart and it's smooth, velvety and fantastic.

Once we arrived, the service only got better. Our waitress, Courtney, was an absolute superstar! She did the work of five people, providing superior service with a warm smile all evening. We also had a minor issue come up, but the manager, Niko, was fantastic and resolved it instantly with total professionalism with his stellar team. We greatly appreciated how well taken care of we were.  The ambiance here is stunning and versatile. They feature a lovely open-air balcony that catches a perfect ocean breeze, with comfortable couch-style seating options as well as standard tables. It feels like the perfect spot for a romantic dinner or a lively girls' brunch (and I think they have a DJ or sort of live music on Saturdays). For logistics, while there seems to be valet parking for the building, we opted for the large self-parking lot right next door, which was highly affordable and convenient. The restaurant is on the top floor (there are elevators and escalators). Now, the food. The chef deserves a massive round of applause! Every single dish was gorgeous, tasted incredibly fresh, and was extremely delicious. Our group had a mix of dietary restrictions, including: vegetarian, vegan, and some gluten-free guests. LouLou's menu offered choices for everyone, and we were able to find something spectacular for every diet. On a previous visit I had the salmon which was delicious. This time I had the ribeye flambée which comes with a show. Have your camera ready! The steak was tender and perfectly seasoned to allow the taste of the beef to be the star. I also tasted the tomato burrata, and the Greek salads. Both were yummy. I can't wait to come back and try the truffle risotto, my friend said it was the best. Another friend got the salmon pizza which looked delicious and I will also have to give it a try! We had an amazing night and will absolutely be back. Thank you so much to the incredible team here!

I am not one for a buffet, I dont care how fancy it is. The food was picked over and that was complete turn off for me. And if im spending $65 to serve myself it better be some damn good food there. I passed on the Brunch. Instead I had drinks, why not! The drinks were good but expensive $20 and up. I personally wouldn't have choose this place for my bday celebration but anywhere my friends and I go it's gonna be a good time. Overall it wasn't bad at all, probably would like to see what's on the menu verses the buffet

Shrimp is an all star dish, wow. The fire char elevates this dish to a lovely level. Filet mignon with peppercorn sauce. Also an incredible dish, so tender. Final dish the burger. I'm a burger snob, a little overcooked but still so good. I wonder if this is cooked on their fire? Go here! Perfect date night. Get the soft serve!

The place is small and I went around 6pm so right after happy hour so it was a bit loud but it calmed down after. There is a 3 for $33 deal that is pretty amazing for happy hour. Pretty much all the appetizers. You are allowed to pick 1 drink and 2 food items. I got the classic aperol, it had a little too much aperol for my taste but still good and refreshing. We got the Zucchini bingets and they were tasty, cheesy. Almost like a fritter but not so much. Also got the fries as well. They were good. I got the mussels marinere with the coconut cream sauce and honestly I love when places offer mussels in a different kind of sauce than just white wine and garlic. The toast was perfection. My friend got the grilled chicken Paillard and she liked it, came with a side of red sauce. I'll be back for the happy hour to try the apps with seafood. I didn't get w chance to since my friend doesn't eat it. They even gave me a the chocolate mousse with a candle.

The atmosphere was absolutely fabulous--cozy, classy, and giving major French bistro vibes. Now let's talk about KYLE! Our server was AMAZING. He normally works the bar, but tonight he was serving us with a smile, great energy, and enough personality to make us feel like VIP celebrities. Kyle, you understood the assignment! The food came out fast and did NOT disappoint. The Big Mec: My son ordered it, and Kyle told us it's the 2nd-best burger in the country. After one bite, my son went completely silent. I think that says everything! Steak Frites: Delicious! Great quality, flavorful, and cooked just right. BANANA PIE: Oh. My. Goodness. I have no words. Actually, I do... ORDER IT. Everything from the food to the service to the atmosphere was a WIN. Don't believe me? Go try it yourself! And when you fall in love with the banana pie, just remember... I told you so. Until my next food adventure... STAY TUNED! Loving good one laugh at a time Millie. The food freak"

Two of my friends and I visited this restaurant on Sunday, the 9th of this month. Reservations are required, but we went in around 5:20pm and the restaurant was pretty empty. When we were leaving, the crowd started coming in around 7:15pm. They also serve brunch in the mornings (only on Sat/Sun). We got a very nice welcome from their hostess and she took us to our table. We ordered their French Onion Soup, Omelette-- that came with Black Pepper, Boursin Cheese, and Boston Lettuce. We also got their famous Big Mec Burger (Wagyu Double Cheeseburger, Bordelaise Sauce with fries. I love to have salad so much with my meal, that we also shared an Endive Salad that came with: Avocado, Anchovy, Walnuts and Sherry Vinaigrette. I told my server Karena & Rachel who replaced her when she went on break, not to put Anchovy on my salad. The dressing was well balanced. For dessert, we got Chocolate Soufflé and for cocktails, Adam, the bartender made delicious, not over powering cocktails for 2 of my friends. They were: Martinez Cocktail, and Hemingway To Your Heart. Even one of their managers Sierra checked in on us along with both of our servers. Shout out to the chef and their pastry chef. Food is super delicious, fresh and just yummy! Prices are not cheap, portions can be a little bigger. Only street and metered parking. Gender neutral restrooms were also very clean. It was a very memorable evening. They also have another location in Hollywood, if you are in that area. Thank you all very much for a lovely dining experience! Will definitely return, but not any time soon.

It's such a great spot to sit outside on a sunny day. They also have an amazing lunch prix fixe menu, plus happy hour and daily specials that are honestly hard to beat. Since it's a French restaurant, we had to try the escargot. The texture was great, it was super flavorful, and dipping the bread into the sauce it came with was chef's kiss. I got the Bistro Burger, and wow it was so good. The Wagyu beef was juicy, the bun was soft and fluffy, and everything just worked. I know you don't usually go to a French restaurant for the fries, but these were genuinely some of the best fries I've ever had. I also found out they have bottomless mimosas and weekly jazz nights, which immediately made me want to come back. Overall, I had such an amazing experience here. Great food, great service, and great atmosphere. I will 1000% be returning.

Service here is great though so I would maybe come back for happy hours drinks and small bites. The best thing we tried was the Wild Mushroom Tarte & the Creme Brulee. The tarte was the only item that was perfectly seasoned and balanced. It's rich, for sure, but it's a small plate so it's not overwhelming. Other dishes: - Soupe a l'Oignon Gratinee: burnt cheese that taste burnt in a bad way, onions not well caramelized (they seemed rushed), and flavorless broth - Boeuf Bourguignon: beef was tender but flavor fell felt, needed some salt to enhance the flavor - Moules Frites: perfectly crispy and seasoned fries, mussels were cooked well, but the broth needed salt At one point our server took the salt from our table and brought it to another, so not enough salt seemed to be a theme with their food. We came for DineLA and I'm glad we got to check out a place we hadn't gone before. Ambiance wise, it does remind you of a Parisian brasserie. But at $100+ I wanted a great meal and it was just okay.
