    Interior dining room.

I had never heard of this place until my son invited me to dinner here with one of his friends. It opened in 2007 and is located on the busy corner of Highland and Melrose. They offer valet parking for $18, or you can get lucky with a meter on the street somewhere. It was Mon. 6/29 around 7pm, and the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a smile by the lovely hostess (didn't get her name) and she took us to our table. The restaurant is beautiful and chic while still maintaining a casual vibe to it. It doesn't feel pretentious or overly fancy, but it's definitely clear you are in for a special evening. Spotless clean dining room (along with the bathrooms) and a full bar, but we didn't get any cocktails. David, one of the managers, came over to greet us with a complimentary splash of champagne, which was a great gesture. He apparently knew all the restaurants my son had worked at through his OpenTable account and said that we were marked as a VIP table for the evening. How cool is that? Our server Kevin was attentive and professional, as were all of the staff. It was a busy Monday night and everyone was taking care of the guests with such ease and proficiency. As far as the food goes, there is a reason why this is one of LA's best restaurants. Their Michelin star is well deserved and the level of quality, skill, and technique is front and center in every dish. For our starter, we got Nancy's Caesar. My son has eaten it before and warned me it's not like your traditional Caesar salad, but I didn't know what to expect. It was DELICIOUS and so unique. Apparently this is a must-try on the menu and I noticed every table getting one. We were also surprised with a compliment from the kitchen, the Burrata and Peach dish, which also had prosciutto. I love all those ingredients and they worked extremely well together. For our pasta course, we got the Sweet Corn Cappellacci that came with mushrooms and thyme. Absolutely outstanding dish, I had never had a pasta so light yet decadent. The corn flavor was very prominent and you can tell they use the best of the best ingredients, straight from the farmer's market. For the main course, we ordered the Duck Confit and it was a very generous portion. It was a half duck cooked to perfection. It was literally falling off the bone as my son portioned it out for us. It had the crispiest skin I've ever seen and it was also served with some sautéed corn, which was super yummy. My mouth is watering again as I type this! By the time we ate all this, we were pretty full, but there is usually always room for dessert. We ordered the Brioche Tart and Olive Oil Cake, both of which were scrumptious and a perfect end to the meal. We were also surprised with a Gelato trio that really pushed our limits, but of course we were still digging at it. Thankfully, we didn't overdo it TOO much and the bill didn't break the bank after we split it. We had such a great night full of delicious food, excellent service, and lovely company as we celebrated my son's friend's engagement. This is definitely the type of place you go to celebrate something special, or even if you just want to splurge on a random Monday night because you deserve it!

Dinner at Osteria Mozza lived up to the hype. Nancy's Caesar was the standout of the evening. The bright, acidic dressing paired nicely with the crisp lettuce, and serving the anchovies on a crostini was a thoughtful touch that kept the salad balanced rather than overly salty. The Burrata & Peach was another favorite. The peach was perfectly ripe, and the toast we ordered ended up pairing well with everything. We also tried the Orecchiette and Tagliatelle with oxtail ragù. Both were good, though I found the starters more memorable than the pastas. For dessert, I had to try the Brioche Tart, famously known as the dessert that made Julia Child cry. A delicious end to the meal. Overall, the appetizers and dessert were the highlights for me.

Absolutely delicious. Highly recommend coming here for birthdays or anniversaries. I've never had pasta this delicious before. We ordered the Ricotta & Egg Raviolo and the Bauletti. The raviolo was divine, perfect amount of cheese and not too heavy. The Bauletti was also so delicious, it was lemony and so good. I really wanted to just keep ordering these dishes! Then we got the lamp chops and the beef tagliata. The lamb chops were so yummy and the seasoning and tomatoes was really good. The beef tagliata was tender and juicy. We finished off with tiramisu. I liked the cream at the top but I was whatever about the cake itself. It was like a sponge cake but it tasted a bit too wet and mushy. The cream at the top was delicious though. Not too sweet. Service was good and professional. Our waiter helped recommend some cocktails and explained our pastas before we ordered. Highly recommend. I want to go back already!

Osteria Mozza is one of the long established Italian restaurants in Los Angeles. The restaurant is owned by James Beard Award-winning Chef Nancy Silverton and Joe Bastianich from MasterChef. Osteria Mozza received one Michelin star in 2008 and maintained its Michelin star in 2025 and is currently ranked #71 on the LA Times 101 Best Restaurants in 2025. In addition to this flagship location, another location was opened in Washington, DC in November 2024. Two sister restaurants, Pizzeria Mozza and Chi Spacca, are located adjacent to Osteria Mozza. [Reservation]: I was able to book a table via OpenTable. There's a 15 minute grace period on the reservation time. A table is reserved up to 1.75 hour for parties up to 2. A credit card is needed to secure a reservation via OpenTable. No-shows or cancellations less than 24 hours in advance will be subject to a charge of $40 per person. [Parking]: Valet parking is $16 for lunch and $17 for dinner. Street parking can be tricky due to restricted parking signs, but I was able to find free street parking on Waring Ave between N Citrus Ave and N Highland Ave. [Atmosphere]: Our party actually missed the entrance door as the door only had directional arrows for Pizzeria Mozza and Chi Spacca. The staff let us choose between bar seats or a table and our party ultimately chose the bar seats. The dinner lasted from 5:45 PM to 7:45 PM. [Menu]: Some of top highlighted dishes are Grilled Octopus, Tagliatelle, Ricotta & Egg Raviolo, Orecchiette (also recommended by the Michelin Guide), Rosemary Olive Oil Cakes (also recommended by the Michelin Guide), and Grilled 8 Oz. Beef Tagliata. The menu is separated into 6 categories - Mozzarella Bar, Antipasti, Primi, Secondi, Contorni, and Dolci. All dishes are considered sharable. *** [Mozzarella Bar] Burrata & Bacon (marinated escarole & caramelized shallots - $25): A complex flavor profile with the escarole enhancing the overall flavor. The chewiness of the bacon enhanced to the overall texture and the oozing cheese was great. [Antipasti] Grilled Octopus (potato, celery, green onion & lemon - $34): An interesting texture as the octopus had meaty and mushy flavors. The celery also cut through the overall flavor profile. [Primi] Ricotta & Egg Raviolo (with browned butter $27): This is one of their signature dishes that many influencers recommend. It was a very cheesy dish and I thought it was alright. [Primi] Orecchiette (fennel sausage & Swiss chard - $36): This dish had a nice chewy texture with an added crunch from almonds. I could definitely taste the strong sausage flavor and I like it. [Primi] Tagliatelle (oxtail ragu - $34): Tasted on the lighter side - a lovely dish with a very balanced flavor profile. [Secondi] Grilled 8 oz. Beef Tagliata (rucola, Parmigiano Reggiano & aceto balsamico - medium rare, $56): S-tier steak - super tender, flavorful, and juicy. The arugula and cheese added a nice balance to the flavor profile. [Dolci] Rosemary Olive Oil Cakes (Monini olive oil gelato & rosemary brittle - $22): S-tier dessert with an amazing olive oil ice cream. The cake was fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. *** Our party was completely full and ended up boxing Tagliatelle (oxtail ragu). In hindsight, our party of two probably should have ordered two items from the Primi section instead of three items and kept everything else the same. With that being said, our party had a great experience at Osteria Mozza and the food lived up to our expectations.

If you love Italian food, this place is a must try. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was amazing from start to finish. They truly pay attention to every little detail and make the whole experience feel special. Of course, you have to try the cheeses -- they are incredible. The fresh mozzarella, pasta, and flavors were all top quality. Great atmosphere, great food, and definitely a place worth visiting. Highly recommend!

Delicious!!! Both pastas were amazing - orecchiette is a must order! Butternut squash ravioli was a delicious sweet pasta! It's definitely a seasonal option. Service is so so so spot on!! They refill the waters quickly and check in the perfect amount of times. Such a good atmosphere for a date or dinner with friends!! Perfect to dress up and have a great time!

Dining at Osteria Mozza was an incredible experience, especially for our group since the kitchen was very accommodating in preparing vegetarian versions of the dishes for our entire table. We ordered à la carte across the menu so we could try a little bit of everything. For antipasti, the Burratina Pugliese was easily one of the highlights of the night -- silky, fresh burrata paired with peppers and olive oil that brought out the creaminess perfectly. The Burricotta with spiced walnuts, radicchio, honey, and fried rosemary was another standout. It had a beautiful balance of sweetness, bitterness, and crunch that made it incredibly memorable. The primi course completely stole the show. Every pasta we tried was excellent, but the Tagliolini "Da Francescana" with 36-month white cow Parmigiano was the clear favorite -- simple, rich, and deeply flavorful in a way that shows how powerful great ingredients can be. The Butternut Squash Tortelloni and Orecchiette Pomodoro were also fantastic. By this point, we were already getting quite full because the pasta course was just that good. For secondi, we were honestly struggling to keep up because the primi had already filled us up, but the dishes themselves were still very well executed. The Roasted Baby Carrots were amazing -- beautifully cooked with spiced seeds and carrot leaf pesto that elevated the dish. The Cipollini Onions were surprisingly memorable: incredibly soft, tender, and flavorful with none of the sharpness you normally associate with onions. Dessert was the perfect finish. The Bombolini with huckleberry compote and lemon curd were light and indulgent at the same time, and the Tiramisu with hazelnuts, espresso, and mascarpone was rich, balanced, and truly chef's kiss. Overall, an exceptional meal. The burratina and the pastas (especially the tagliolini) were the stars, and the kitchen's willingness to accommodate vegetarian requests made the experience even better for our group. I would absolutely return just for those dishes.

Wow. This was probably one of my favorite meals I've had in a while!!! Alyssa was our server and she is a pure comedian, I liked her. So personable, so funny, and just on it the entire night. We had reservations and when we got to the host we decided to sit at the countertop by the dairy/cheese/bread prep area (highly recommend if you can). Watching everything come together made it even more fun. The amount of cedar salads that were made... wow! Okay... FOOD. We started with the burnt mozzarella (added extra garlic toast because obviously) and the grilled octopus. The burnt mozzarella with prosciutto + that crispy, garlicky bread?? Elite. No notes. Octopus (good but not memorable) Then we had this ravioli that was one giant square... and when I tell you we took the leftover bread and dipped it into the sauce that came out of it... unreal. So simple, very satisfying. For mains, we ordered the steak (I think it's the only one on the menu). The steak itself was good, but the arugula was a little too bitter for my liking. The sauce was a balsamic vinegar type? It was whatever but the texture of the meat was reallyyy good. HOWEVER. The duck?? Friggin amazing. So soft, buttery, perfectly cooked and it came with this sweet apricot jam that made it so memorable. You need to order it. We also ordered this pasta w burnt crumbs on top IT WAS SO GOOD Orechietta? so good 9/10 We also went all in on dessert and got three scoops of ice cream: chocolate, salted caramel, and vanilla. Plus the olive oil cake which was so interesting in the best way. Drinks were just as good. We had a white wine that is similar to a Sancerre= super crisp and delicious and a cucumber gin gimlet that was dangerously refreshing. Highly recommend dining in and just going all out. Make it a whole experience. It was such a lovely night. And thank you again to Alyssa for your amazing table service! Love the aesthetics of the place and it was so packed! On a Wednesday night I was so surprised!

Osteria Mozza is 100% worth visiting if you're debating going. It's an LA staple for a reason. The biggest thing we noticed compared to our other favorite LA Italian restaurants was how much the quality of the ingredients shines. You can tell they use the best quality, and I love that the menu is seasonal so there's always something new to try. A huge shoutout to Colina for making our experience so special. She was one of the best servers we've ever had...so lovely, intentional, and attentive. She perfectly accommodated our requests on pacing the meal, knew exactly what I meant when I described the flavors I like, and steered us toward all the right dishes. Every recommendation was spot on, especially encouraging us not to second-guess ordering all three desserts. Not a crumb was left. The Fettunta is a must at any of Nancy Silverton's restaurants. We also tried the Burrata & Bacon. The burrata itself was incredible...I just wasn't a fan of the flavor combination, which is completely personal preference. I'd still recommend ordering one of their burrata or mozzarella dishes because the quality of the cheese is outstanding. We went all in on the pastas: Ricotta & Egg Raviolo, Tagliolini "Da Francescana," Bavette, Sweet Corn Cappellacci, and Orecchiette. Every pasta was unique and let the ingredients shine. The standout was easily the Tagliolini "Da Francescana"...if I could only order one dish again, it'd be that. The Ricotta & Egg Raviolo and Orecchiette were uniquely delicious, the Bavette is the best cacio e pepe if you love salty, cheese-forward pasta without being overly peppery, and the Sweet Corn Cappellacci is a great pick if you love sweet corn. The 24 oz. Porcini-Rubbed Bone-in Ribeye was excellent quality, just not as memorable as the pastas. It may have been even better if it had been a little warmer, though that's because of the way we intentionally paced our meal. For dessert we ordered the Brioche Tart, Crespelle Alla Fragola, and Rosemary Olive Oil Cakes. I couldn't recommend one over another because all three were that incredible. My favorite was the Brioche Tart...the warm brioche with the cold crème fraîche was unreal...but the rest of the table loved the Crespelle Alla Fragola. The in season fruit really shined in every dessert. Ratings: * Fettunta -- 5/5 * Burrata & Bacon -- 3/5 (burrata itself 5/5) * Ricotta & Egg Raviolo -- 5/5 * Tagliolini "Da Francescana" -- 5/5 (Standout dish) * Bavette -- 4/5 * Sweet Corn Cappellacci -- 3.8/5 * Orecchiette -- 4/5 * 24 oz. Porcini-Rubbed Bone-in Ribeye -- 3.5/5 * Brioche Tart -- 5/5 * Crespelle Alla Fragola -- 5/5 * Rosemary Olive Oil Cakes -- 5/5

    course #2

came in with my friends today for the pasta bar experience ! our server / bartender was cesar and he was amazing !! so awesome and attentive and indulged all our questions about the drinks he was making LOL and kept our glasses flowing w/ prosecco and water:)) the experience itself was 5 courses (1 being dessert) and was so much more filling than i expected. PLEASEE note that they DO NOT allow substitutions for the pasta bar experience (even for allergies smh) so my friend who was allergic to seafood had to order something a la carte for that course instead. it bugged us a little cause we didn't know the menu had seafood in the first place but bygones and all that. the pastas themselves were delicious !! wasn't a huge fan of the maccheroni alla chitarra (the bread crumbs messed with the texture for me) but my friend loved it so something for everyone LOL. the tagliolini with dungeness crab however was a MASSIVEEE standout for me. sooo indulgent and honestly i feel paired perfectly with the drinks we had (we didn't do their wine pairing, but it is available for an additional $65 !). the service here is impeccable so it does not surprise me at all that they're michelin star rated, and i'd definitely love to come back and try everything else they have to offer:))

I have been wanting to try Osteria Mozza for a long time because of all the great things I have heard, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. We did not have a reservation but were able to get seats at the bar, which turned out to be a great experience. The bartender was incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain the menu in detail and gave excellent recommendations, which made ordering easy and enjoyable. For our entrées, we ordered the braised short rib and the tagliatelle, and both were so delicious. I also had fresh white truffle shaved onto my pasta, which took the dish to another level. Everything was rich, comforting, and perfectly executed. One thing to note is that the restaurant is on the smaller side, and seating is fairly close together, but it did not take away from the experience. If anything, it adds to the lively, bustling atmosphere of the space. Great food, great service, and a classic Hollywood dining experience. I would definitely come back.

I've eaten here twice; and I thought I'd write a review since I visited semi-recently. Thank you Yelpers for guiding me on what to order this most recent time. I really enjoyed the Egg Yolk Ravioli, octopus (so soft and tender!!!!), burrata sampler (ugh! I was in cheese heaven!), orecchiette with fennel (sooo good- texture was amazing), tagliatelle with oxtail (meh, it was good but you can skip this because it didn't stand out- oxtail felt soggy). For dessert, we requested a dessert from their sister restaurant - a chocolate budino- and OMG, that was amazing too. Ambiance was great - not too packed on a week night. Parking is kinda annoying. And that particular day, there wasn't an option for valet. Service was very attentive. I was so thankful that they were able to meet my requests for the special dessert! Food came out reasonably quick. I do think some of their tables are too close together though - which could mess with the vibe. Overall, nice experience. I recommend having a reservation because the place did fill up, even for a week day.

We ordered a lot and everything was pretty heavy. It was easy to get full fast. Ambiance is classy and dimly lit. Everything was flavorful and the wine was good.

The inside is cosy and casual, and it's a bit romantic. There's usually a nice buzz of people in the late afternoon. This intimate bar first opened in West Hollywood in 2013. The entrance is on the side of a beautiful historic Hollywood Spanish Gothic style building on Westbourne Drive, off Santa Monica Boulevard. You could almost miss it from the street as it's kind of hidden which is definitely part of its charm. About a century ago it was a studio for silent film star Charlie Chaplin and later a library for Sherman, which was the name of West Hollywood before it was incorporated. So this is a beautiful and historic location with a fascinating history, V Wine Room serves about 30 different wines by the glass and a large selection by the bottle, mostly small California wineries from the Napa Valley. The menu also features sparkling wines, natural wines and sakes from small Japanese producers. They have food to accompany the drinks as well: delicious Roman-style pizzas, cheese boards and charcuterie, fish and even chocolate. I've always managed to find free parking on side streets just up the street like on West Knoll for a couple hours, but there's also valet parking right in front and a city parking lot about a block west

Everything is so overpriced it feels like they are intentionally letting you know you are not good enough to be one of their customers. You can get this type of food and wine at 99 other places with nicer employees, easier parking and much less attitude. The staff behaves as if this was a high school not a wine bar. Do yourself a favor and don't come here. I highly recommend the classic LA ambience at other close by establishments such as The Oaks on Bronson, the Alley in Silverlake or The Cara on Western instead. This place is like a bad Ryan Murphy series. It takes itself way too seriously. I've given them over 4 chances to change my mind since I live around the corner, and they never cease to amaze me when it comes to their entitled snotty staff & overpriced alcohol plus the parking is absolutely impossible! I even had to help customers break out of the parking lot one evening because the gate closes at a particular hour, and the restaurant doesn't even bother to tell you the gates shut at a particular time way before the restaurant closes. you're on your own, good luck getting your car out! avoid this place like the plague. I wish I could get back to $500. I've spent here over the past two years.

I didn't make it here until March 2026 and after my first visit, I'm sorry I didn't come earlier. My husband and I came here on a Sunday night, with a last minute reservation I'd made on Resy. The restaurant wasn't very busy when we came in around 5:30ish. A lot of the tables were empty. They had both indoor and outdoor dining available, but the majority of the seats were indoor. The ambiance here is dark and chic, it reminded me very much of restaurants in NYC. It would make for a good spot for a date night or girls' night out. We made it here in time to order one thing from their happy hour menu, the tater tots. These were heavy but moreish, it was hard to stop eating them even when my stomach was telling me I was full. We also shared the corn, which I believe may have been a special/seasonal dish. It will go down as one of the best corn dishes I've ever eaten in a restaurant. My husband got the burger for his main and I got the mussels. The mussels were pretty fresh and silky, and were overall excellent, but I didn't love the broth they came in. My husband's burger was fantastic. It's one of the best burgers I've eaten at a restaurant in LA. Service was lovely and efficient. I'm looking forward to dining here again, and would highly recommend trying it.

We went with a wine tasting, which wasn't on the menu but we asked if they offered it. It was $30 for 3 wine choices (2 oz I believe). Either the somalier's choice or your own. But they definitely help you with picking the right options. The staff was super nice and friendly and knowledgeable about the wines. The appetizers were pretty good too. We had the fries, brussel sprouts (best choice), tater tots, olives, marcona almonds and hummus. This place is perfect for either date night, cute meet up with a friend or after work with co workers.

All the dishes were delicious and all the flavors meshed well when mixing sauces with different items. Steak was thick but somehow still remained perfectly juicy and medium rare, one of the few steaks that I think are good to eat in one bite without cutting because each large piece had so much nuanced flavor per chew. Loved the caesar beef tartare too, and how it was already cut into small pieces! Housemade caesar dressing was hitting with the anchovies, and the sourdough was perfectly toasted. Parking is metered or neighborhood parking, can be a bit tricky but we always seem to get lucky in this area. Service was so friendly and sweet, water was constantly refilled even on a busy night. I love how efficiently they've used the sq footage and even though there are many people dining in at once, it doesn't feel crowded due to the layout. Both bathrooms were clean and we dined in around 8:30 PM.

They've got indoor and outdoor seating. My party ended up getting seated right away. Our server was super friendly and walked us through the menu. Food came out fast and was paced perfectly. The Caesar beef tartare caught me off guard in the best way: great flavors with a nice hint of acidity. The steak frites was solid too, though the steak-to-fries ratio was off and the aioli came out a bit cold. The vibe is great with tons of natural light, but the tables are crammed way too close together, so it's tough to hear your own party's conversation when others are having conversations near by. A little more breathing room would go a long way. Still, glad I checked it out.
