I tried to justify three stars but I can't in good conscience. This could easily be 3-1/2 to 4 stars with some simple improvements. 1. Get a smile on. The counter help can only be described as sullen. (No tip.) 2. Put some sauce on the pizza. Sauce is the foundational flavor for all the toppings. It was undetectable. 3. Use some cheese with flavor, in addition to the bland mozzarella. Maybe a sprinkling of Parmesan or the like. 4. Don't charge 5.75 for a mug of beer. 3 dollars, even up to 5 dollars, but when you approach the 6.00 mark for a 12 ounce draft, you might just as well raise your middle finger to your customer's face. On the plus side, the crust was pretty good, and pains were taken to keep it crisp, and prevent sogginess. Toppings were decent quality and ample. This was a great last minute find for us! The pizza was fantastic. My husband and I shared a Medium and it was more than enough for the two of us. The sauce, cheese and toppings were delicious! The crust was amazing! We had pepperonis, bell peppers, green onions and tomatoes on our pizza and all ingredients tasted and appeared very fresh. We also ordered wings and ranch which were good but really what made this place was the pizza. Oh and the beer! Great eclectic beer selection especially for my husband who's into the funkier beers. Great service by the owner; the counter help was alright but not bad just typical unenthusiastic teenage help... BUT we also walked in at about 9 and the place closes at 10 and there weren't many people there so I understand the lack of enthusiasm. We have gone to Murphys Pizza for years and this experience has made us never want to return. We ordered chicken wings and they said it would take 30 minutes. After 25 minutes we checked on their wings and they let us know they hadn't even started on them. We had to wait another 10 minutes for them to "thaw" the wings. We took them to go and will now have to heat them ourselves. We are disappointed to say the least. read more

Very unfortunate experience 9/26. Ordered the same order we've gotten at least 3x the last few weeks. I picked it up- my piezalad was over cooked, actually pretty burnt, was given the wrong dressing for the piesalad; and received peppers on a Big R that were not asked for. Called to inform the staff and the owner answers. I stated I didn't want a refund just to let him know I was simply disappointed and would have much more respected him offering to remake it and wait 20 extra minutes over being served a burnt pizza, after receiving this order perfectly and consistently the last few weeks. The owner did nothing but argue saying he felt it was of serving standards and I was wrong for not checking my order before leaving. Bullsh*t if you want to succeed as a business you need to have consistency. I should not have to check my order is right at a nice little place like this. That's the crap I expect from McDonald's check to make sure it's right before i leave. But I should have saved my money because my piezalad fell apart and crumbled like a hard taco from Taco Bell. I I usually have had great success with food from here, but after the owners belittling experience I will not be back. This is a great place for reasonably priced, great quality pizza with thick, tasty crust. Think of a hip round table with better ingredients and you're on the right track. Bread sticks are really thin and cheesy but taste good and the super R is yummy. read more

Bad service! Cold pizza sat on top of the oven for who knows how long while we were EARLY for pickup and waited directly in front of the register for 20 minutes with no one calling our name. We had to ask and the girl who had been climbing up moving used pans in top of that oven seemed to remember something being up there. Really really bad. Legit pizza spot! We came here after a day of playing in the snow. We were hungry, kids were hungry and the adults needed a beer and some wine. We took a chance at murphys pizza co and we were not disappointed! First of all they have a huge menu with lots of cool exotic pizza toppings and the usual menu of classic pizzas. We decided to get two mediums, one pepperoni and cheese and one rocket pig! Oh man that rocket pig was soo good! Arugula on top (which is also called rocket)and prosciutto with goat cheese and regular cheese with tomato sauce. It was amazing! The crust in these pizzas was addicting and the ingredients were fresh too. We were very surprised at this little a lot that I'm sure is very popular with the locals. We had beer and wine and my husband got his AHA Discount on his beers. The kids had a blast writing and drawing on their chalk board wall. They had buckets of chalk and an eraser for them to play with while we drank and waited for our pizzas. Perfect! They also have a little arcade game room. The pizzas came out rather quickly too. Great pizza, no issue there, but the salad bar needed a lot of attention...it's an all you can eat salad bar but more than half the items were missing on the first pass. Came back to refill 15 min later and there was not even lettuce. The value is not great either since it's pricey and not exceptional. Tried calling ahead to order for pickup...got put on hold and tried calling multiple times with no answer. So I went in, and there was a long line because all the employees were on the phone? Ordered a pepperoni pizza and it took an hour and 13 minutes to get our pizza. Families came and went while we waited. Every employee I spoke to was unapologetic and said there was nothing they could do. No refund, no drinks while we waited, nothing. On top of that they never took our name for the order, and we paid for drinks but they did not give us the cups, we had to ask. Will not be going back here, the pizza is mediocre anyways. read more

Although I absolutely loved the foods there I've gone there twice and been denied the salad bar. The first time I was told they were going to close it down in a minute and then saw them throw everything in the salad bar away. I thought to myself wow I could have had some of that. And then last night we show up at 8:10 and one of the young girls is just getting ready to pull the tongs out but yet we were denied the salad bar again. I asked what time they closed and they said 9 p.m. Well why can't I have a salad? It's summer. Very disappointed. But the calzones are the best I've ever had and the pie salads are the bomb.
