First thing we noticed was the little selection of toys - a great touch for families with little ones and sets a welcoming tone. The pizza was delicious... soft where you wanted it soft, firm where you wanted it firm and with some light charring on the crust which was delicious. Very generously topped. The place is small but fun with interesting objects all over and a good selection of wines and beers considering the size. Honestly wasn't too great. The wings tasted like they came straight out of a bag and had a bit of a sour taste to them. The mozzarella sticks were extremely awful. They smelt gross and tasted gross. The pizza itself was advertised on Facebook for pepperoni pizza that was completely covered in pepperoni you can barley see the cheese. In real life it was about 15 pieces on the whole pizza. The pizza was good but definitely could get better at round table especially the wings. We were super excited to try this place and left pretty bummed! I always liked this place. They have pretty good pizza and are friendly but last time I went I was a little disappointed. I had sausage on my pizza with other topping and the sausage wasn't even whole pieces. The had sliced the sausage thin and you couldn't even taste it on the pizza. Hands down our favorite pizza place. We always have anyone who visits try their plain cheese bc it's that good! Not pictured is the Supreme Pizza (comes without red sauce) and we sub chicken for sausage- that's our other favorite! I had someone recommend this pizza place and I drove 30 minutes to go get pizza did the taken bake brought it home and cooked it in the dough was like cardboard. It didn't taste fresh. It had a funky taste to. it very disappointed. Threw more than half of it away!!! read more

WOW! This place is great!!! A true hidden gem! Today is my third time coming and I wasn't leaving the parking lot until I left them a 5star review lol. I started coming here after pizza factory down the street started taking over 2 hours to make a single pepperoni pizza. Honestly I didn't even know Rolling Dough was right here! Or I would have tried them a long time ago, the sign kind of blends in with the laundry mat next door, so u have to really be looking or check the maps for pizza restaurants. ANYWAYS, This place is fresh, friendly, fantastic!! The ladies are really nice, everything we have tried has been delicious. Just an FYI, parking is not great. The only location we could find was in front of the business, there's 3-4 spots to parallel park. Food though? Fantastic. I would add about $1-$2 to the menu posted here, I was not able to get photos of updated menus. Medium Pepperoni was $15.50, Caesar salad was $8 (it was decent sized) small bread sticks were $6, and fountain drinks were $2.50. Salad was fresh with plenty of dressing. Bread sticks were thin, and soft with a nice char. You can really taste the parm, but unfortunately not much else, was hoping for a garlic taste. Pizza The sauce tasted fresh made, very tomato-y, thin, plenty of pepperoni, again, great char. Crust was soft, slight crunch, and good chewy. Plenty of seating, but just hardwood benches and hard chairs - not super comfortable. Didn't get a good look at the bar stools though. Tables were clean, staff was nice and helpful. Utensils on each table in a bucket. Single person bathroom in the back was clean and stocked. read more

My husband and I were in San Andreas and I told him about this place. I've heard a lot from people that it's really excellent Pizza so well I was busy he went and picked up a couple of pizzas and on our way home. I said let's get some lunch, and he said let's go to rolling dough. I said you already picked up pizzas, I don't really want pizza for lunch and dinner. He said they have a lot more so needless to say we went in. We ordered the Italian Panini and it was incredible on flatbread. Came with chips was not too expensive. The service was excellent. Love the vibe of rolling dough, it almost feels like I'm stepping into a shop in Orange County. We've been there 9 times so far, and I've been really happy with the quality of the food. The zucchini and mozzarella sticks have a fresh homemade tasting batter, they don't taste like they came frozen like a lot of other places. I also regularly get the Greek salad which is huge and absolutely delicious. I'm a vegetarian so I've only tried the veggie pizza they have, but the fresh ingredients are consistently excellent. The pizza isn't saturated in grease like you get at some places. Whenever we have friends from the bay come up, we bring them here and they love it. If I could have 2 wishes: full bar and outdoor patio area (although there's no space... but wishful thinking!) Definitely the best pizza around! read more

I think they make a good pizza and I would have given 5 stars. But I ordered a 16 inch pizza, a green salad and a zucchini appetizer it was over $47 bucks! Parking is also a challenge. My family went to go in there one night after a baseball game, and it was about 25 minutes before they closed, granted the restaurant was full so we went in, and as we walked in one of the women working made a rude remark about "closing in 15 minutes so she doesn't know why we were coming in". I ignored it and walked up to the counter to join my family, where we stood there waiting to order and were completely ignored. They then didn't allow my grandma to have her service animal in the restaurant with her and made her leave. So we didn't even get to eat there, and I won't be going in there again. Working in the hospitality business I understand having a long day and not wanting to deal with customers after a long day that close to closing, but customers remember. Just left this restaurant! Will not return! Placed an order and was given the wrong food. I talked with one waitress ( nice young lady)and told her I did not order said food. She said ok and went back behind the counter. I expected the manager to come by the table and talk with me. No one came. We have supported the owners since her burrito days when she used to sell burritos. Her pizza are delicious fresh. Never had a complaint until now. We purchased a large combo pizza and medium breadsticks the pizza was great as usual. However the breadsticks half the order was black burnt couldn't ...be eaten it's not even healthy to eat burnt food.Monday, July 17 in the evening was the order. The following day I returned with half the breadsticks ...brought them up to the counter ..the blonde heavyset girl with the big eyelashes came to the counter. I was very quiet and discreet laid the burnt breadsticks beside the cash register open them up and showed her they were all burnt. You know what her response was ??? oh that's just our oven ...we can only have it one temperature. Oh so the pizzas don't burn but the breadsticks do.? I told her again they're burnt they're not edible ... Told her if you served burnt food every night like this There would be no business ... I worked in one of the best pizza parlors around in the bay area I know how this rolls ...out somebody left them in the oven too long and they burnt .... so obvious ... really ??? She wouldn't take responsibility for that or apologize that's just the way it is she said. ...How rude terrible business practice ...the owners wouldn't tolerate that. That's precisely why I'm complaining.... the staff needs some training in public service. And this isn't it the first time. I thought maybe the owner should look into it instead of not knowing what being sold down there because evidently breadsticks are burnt for your customers.. My son-in-law frequent that place on his way through town ..he stops and has a beer and some breadsticks because they're the best and I guarantee they're not serving his burnt. Best pizza you can get! Not only is it owned and operated by locals homegrown in Calaveras, but they also employ the handi capable. It's so heart warming to see. When talking to one employee (Brittany) she said the owner bought her a helmet to wear and stay safe while earning money. They have absoultly the BEST breadsticks. They also have a bar and a little kiddy area. The staff is wonderful.

Good pizzas and great salads. They have a solid beer selection. I just wish they were open earlier for lunch.
