Love supporting this local small business. Their cheesesteaks have this life-changing sauce on them that just brings the meat, gooey cheese, and luscious veggies to a higher plane of existence. I've been here twice so far - once for lunch and the other for dinner. For lunch I placed a to-go order that was ready within 10 minutes (perfectly timed from my house to Murphy's). I met Mr. Murphy himself (though didn't realize it at the time) and he was a very kind man with a big smile. The place wasn't full - there were a couple of people dining in at the time - but there was a comfortable atmosphere I could feel even during my short time. For dinner, my husband and I went as a date. We both got the 6" Phillies and he loved it as much as I loved mine. He agreed the sauce was amazing. I got the cheese fries this go-around and they were yummy; I liked the fries they used and the cheese was shredded and melted on. Their ranch was good as a dipping sauce for the fries. The guy who took my order was trying to convince me their onion rings were amazing. When I ordered the cheese fries, he said he'd give me a couple of onion rings to try so I'd believe him. Well, I definitely believe him now! There are 2 kinds of onion rings in this world: a smooth battered kind and a crunchy battered kind. Think of the difference between Culver's (smooth) and JCW's (crunchy). Anywho, I prefer the crunchy kind. Well, Murphy's has a smooth battered kind that tastes like the crunchy kind - win win!!! Delicious crispy rings without the mess of the crunchy bits. Brilliant!! They will definitely be my side of choice going forward. Overall, I definitely recommend Murphy's 126. Great atmosphere to eat in, very convenient to take out. The owner is great (check out his philosophy on giving back to the community on their website) and so was his staff. Reasons why this is a place that everyone should frequent - 1. The Cheese steak was amazing. Best I've had in a long time. One of the best (if not the best) in Utah that I've had, and I've had a lot. 2. Supporting local business - The owner (Daniel) is an awesome guy, knows his way around a kitchen, even knows the history of cheese steaks, makes an delicious sauce for the cheesesteak, and even made the fry sauces and other items more interesting 3. There are no good places to eat around here that are chain restaurants. I love that this exists and is close by. 4. Some places, the main item on the menu is good and all the sides and peripherals are mediocre. Here, the fires were fresh, the onion rings were fresh, and you can tell that the owner and the restaurant take great pride in good, quality food. 5. Tried this for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised. We were greeted as we came in and the owner was very friendly and welcoming. Even though it was an off time for lunch there were quite a few people there. Our service was quick and the order spot on. I loved the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich and the fries are the best ever. Crispy, flavorful, piping hot and way better than any I've had in years. They were even good hours later after being in the refrigerator. It was free ice cream Friday and I was glad to have the option of sorbet instead of ice cream. And the portion was big. I told them I would be back and true to my word, I talked my husband into trying it for dinner. He agreed with me. I hope they are around for a long time. When I see a sign that says Cheese Steak I have to stop. This is a pretty small place with Cheese Steaks, Burgers and some Tacos. I got a 6" Traditional with cheese fries and medium drink. I ended up paying about $14 bucks which is a little pricey. The cheese Steak was good, but the reason this place gets only three stars is because THEY CHARGE FOR FRY SAUCE!! Went for the first time. I was a little worried because I paid $16 for a six inch combo with fry sauce. But that sandwich hit the spot, it's not your normal Subway six inch. We were really excited to try this place. Had a lot of great reviews and seemed like a good quality place. We got a few dishes to try. Those who tried the loaded fries with chicken ended up getting really sick. Might have been a bad day but that was a bummer. It's pretty overpriced and the service wasn't great. Took about 25 minutes to get our food. I was unfortunately disappointed.
