Checked this place out after the typical hour of research on Yelp and was not disappointed! The cheesesteaks are so good and the the onion rings and fries are equally delicious. The owner is maybe the best part of the experience though. After talking to him for a few minutes you can really tell how much he cares about the quality of ingredients and perfecting each option on the menu. My only "issue" is that I foolishly overestimated my appetite and underestimated the portions. I got a 12" Mushroom Pepper Steak thinking I'd save half for the next day. First timer here and I grabbed a pickup order. The first thing I liked was the ease of ordering online. It was very straightforward and I didn't have any trouble doing my order on my phone, as well as submitting the payment. It was very easy if I wanted to add or remove items from my order, or alter the makeup of my sandwich. At no point did I feel overwhelmed, or like I'd lost something on my order. I didn't take in much of the atmosphere because I was in an out very fast. My order was ready for me when I walked in (a few minutes before my pickup time), which is always a plus. The person at the register was helping a couple already when I walked in, and the person behind them looked directly to me and asked if they could help me, so they didn't keep me waiting at all. I also very much liked that my food was kept in what seemed to be a large container for keeping food hot. This meant my food was a great temperature when I got home. I spent about $25 and got the 12" Philly cheesesteak sandwich as a combo which comes with fries, a fry sauce (regular or jalapeno) and a drink. I added on an extra fry sauce so I could try both. This was enough for two people honestly, so I' feel the pricing was fair. I also liked that the cheesesteaks came individually wrapped in foil, making it easy for me to save half the sandwich. Overall the flavor was great. I like that the jalapeno fry sauce had a little heat to it. The fries had a type of decent seasoning on them. The sandwich was very good, nothing really stood out about it (to me at least) from other cheesesteak places, but it was definitely loaded with meats and toppings, which is always a plus. You are getting what you pay for. Location is very decent. I like that there's more than one way in and out of the parking lot, and I didn't feel like I was playing bumper-cars with other vehicles on a Friday evening. The food was fantastic, the employees were really nice. What stops me from recommending Murphy's Cafe 126 is that when ordering food they ask for a tip before they do anything. There are no wait staff and the crew should be paid enough to not beg for more and hold the customers hostage to this. And by hostage I mean I worry that since they ask for more money when at this point no service has been rendered they are holding my order hostage to me tipping. If I don't tip will the drop my food on the floor or trash or spit in it if I don't tip. So because of this I likely won't be back or custom any other place that does this. read more

This little gem is tucked away in a strip mall and doesn't look like much from the outside. But inside the Philly cheesesteaks are the best that I've had in Utah. I hung up figuring they were busy, drove 8 miles, put my order in and Murphy asked if I wanted frry sauce at an extra charge? 2 8 inch beefs and 2 orders of fries, $37.00, really and no fry sauce, paid and waited and waited, 25 minutes, guy in front of me ate and left. Went to counter and asked about my order, guy said was it to go? Stated yes and he hands me a soggy bag out of what seemed like a steamer heater, fries were very soggy as was the buns, never again for that $$$. They really need a better POS system or some way of keeping track of orders, because whatever their current method is does not work. Holy mackerel. After I ordered and sat down, first I was asked if I had ordered it to go or to stay, and I confirmed that I had ordered to stay. Then after a while, my order was brought out and the guy asked, "is this right?" No, in fact it was all wrong. I had ordered sweet potato fries, not regular fries, and the sandwich was also completely different. Turns out that he had given my order to another customer already. So while that customer got the bonus of a second sandwich for free (they gave him his original order and he was already chowing down on mine), I got shafted with the bonus of waiting twice the amount of time for them to remake mine. Then after it did finally come out, he had to ask again "did you order fry sauce?" Why yes I did, but you would think there would be something to tell you that. (As it turns out, the jalapeno fry sauce was my favorite part of the meal.) And all of that struggle was with just 2 customers at the time... I can't imagine what might happen during a busy rush. All that to pay $16 for a sandwich and fries lunch, I felt the value just wasn't there. IF it had tasted amazing, it would have been easier to look past the struggles, but as it was, probably won't be stopping back in again soon. read more

Murphy's Café is my absolute favorite restaurant around! My wallet and waist can attest to that as I go at least twice a week. You will not go wrong with whatever you pick. I'm not a fan of Philly Cheesesteaks yet I love theirs. I'm also not a fan of sweet potato fries yet I would do bad things for theirs. Make sure to pair it with their jalapeño fry sauce and be prepared to slip for a moment into heaven. Their burgers are also amazing. Definitely my new favorite burger. Try the Honey Garlic Burger. Came in yesterday evening with my family to have dinner. My son had a burger, my other son had mozzarella sticks and chicken tenders, my daughter had a burger and my wife and I both had Philly cheese steak sandwiches. The food was really good. The staff was friendly and helpful in helping us with our order because my kids are picky eaters. My sandwich had jalapeños and my fries came with jalapeño sauce. No complaints here! First of all, the owner is so friendly and personable. We felt very welcome and comfortable, and he checked on us to make sure everything was good. He also made sure to let us know about an upcoming deal on their new chicken sandwich. Second, the food was great! Our order was ready really quickly and everything was hot and fresh. The regular cheese steak had great flavor and my husband, who doesn't like onions or peppers or mushrooms, gobbled it all down in minutes. I ordered a basic turkey melt that also had good flavor with wonderfully melty cheese and a nice crunch. The fry sauce was really delicious, and I don't normally like fry sauce! We visited Murphy's for lunch today. Myself, my husband, my son and my mother. Our order was taken as quickly as we could make up our minds (ha!) and our food was prepared pretty quickly. We ordered a cheese steak bowl, cheese steak fries (subbed sweet potato fries - amazing!) and a couple of burgers. We found the prices to be the same as others have posted here and for the portion sizes, more than fair. The burgers especially were so big that my son and my mother only got a little more than half way through them before they were stuffed. The sweet potato fries are perfection. Crispy and delicious. The jalapeño sauce is delicious too. We will most definitely be back! We are still hesitant to dine in at restaurants but we felt comfortable dining in here once we saw that they had tables well spaced and many other safeguards in place and practice. read more
