Instead, there were only a few small pieces of meat, barely any tacu tacu, and the plate was mostly filled with salty broth. The presentation made it look like a substantial meal, but it was not. I am willing to pay premium prices when the quality and portion justify it, but this felt extremely overpriced for what was served. Unfortunately, I would not order this again.

1/5 I was honestly…read morereally excited to try this place after seeing it all over TikTok, but unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. I'm genuinely confused by all the glowing reviews because our experience was completely different. The best part of the entire meal was the bread and butter. For the prices they charge, I expected MUCH better food and service. This is definitely on the expensive side, and unfortunately, the quality did not match the price at all. Lomo Saltado: Very little flavor, barely any juice, and the steak was dry and honestly tasted like it may have been sitting for a while. Lomo saltado is such a staple Peruvian dish, so this was especially disappointing. The fries tasted like basic frozen fries, similar to Burger King fries. Even the rice was extremely dry and had almost no garlic flavor. Peruvian rice should not be this bland. Mondonguito: Again, very little flavor or sauce. There was also a huge amount of Parmesan on top, which was a little strange. The rice was the same--dry, bland, and missing that garlicky Peruvian flavor. Anticuchos: These came out cold and weren't properly charred or juicy. They still had a lot of the marinade/sauce sitting on them rather than having that grilled finish you expect from anticuchos. The Peruvian corn was mostly hard and grainy and seemed undercooked. The ají was okay, but nothing memorable. Papa Rellena: Probably one of the biggest disappointments. The potato-to-meat ratio was way off--it was mostly potato, with very little filling. The meat inside was also cold, and the filling itself was dry rather than juicy and flavorful. Service: The service started off fine. We were welcomed and told we could sit anywhere, but after that everything was extremely slow. It took a while for someone to take our order, and our server had to repeat it about three times. Our drinks took around 20 minutes, and she repeatedly forgot the ice and cups for our canned sodas. I could understand this if the restaurant were packed, but it wasn't. There were two servers and not many customers. Our food took approximately 35-40 minutes, including the appetizers. The appetizers ended up coming out at the same time as our entrées, which defeats the purpose of ordering appetizers. Nobody really checked on us during the meal either. By the time someone did, we were basically finished. We also had to ask for the bill. It was dropped off, but no one came back to collect payment, so eventually we had to get up ourselves to pay. Ambiance: I actually liked the theme, design, and layout of the restaurant. Unfortunately, there was no AC and it was around 103°F outside, so it was extremely hot inside. At the very least, some fans would make a huge difference. Overall, I came here because I saw it on TikTok and was really excited to try it. After our experience, though, I honestly have a hard time understanding some of the extremely positive reviews. It made me wonder whether some of the social media reviews were sponsored or invited visits because our experience did not come close to what was shown online. Between the high prices, bland and improperly prepared food, long wait times, and inattentive service, I would not come back.

We were given menus and a few minutes later asked if we wanted anything to drink, and if we were also ready to order. We asked for a few extra minutes. When I saw the menu, I thought, and should have stuck to my gut, that the "Peruvian style Chinese" is a what the hell does that mean situation. Man, did I go wrong for not giving that a hell naah! The waitress brought out some hot bread and butter, as well as cold iced waters for us. We than placed our order. We ordered a chaufa de pollo (chicken fried rice), parihuela (soup), and a jalea (fried seafood). When the food came, all the smells hit, and I just knew it was not what I wanted or expected. I was expecting awesome wok-charred fried rice. What I got was some barely wok-ed rice, no depth of flavor, but lots of a CHINESE flavor/seasoning. HORRIBLE, why would you do this?!? What the hell!!!! This is definitely not what Peruvian fried rice is. No where near what it should be. The parihuela is something I've never had, so I cannot compare it to any others, but from it being my first time trying this, this is what i think. I think it was actually pretty good. It had lots of seafood umami (flavor). It had great depth. It had lots of crab smell, but why no crab? None at all, just the smell. Lots of fish and squid. The jalea, yucca not fried enough, it was slightly under. Lots of lemon-ny red onions on top, which is great as it helps cut all the nasty feelings of eating fried stuff. Only two pieces of shrimps, that were small too! It had 4 pieces of fish, and the rest was calamari. I am fine with it, but the shrimps should be larger. The batter should be thinner. The pieces should be crispier. Nothing great about this dish. It's so easy, yet it was not thought of well enough to make it great. Don't waste your time or money here. It's not authentic. It's not great. It's just passable food. The best thing of this meal was the bread and butter, and the cold iced water. The service was good too, but the food was not up to par. I feel like they may have made my food according to us being Asian, but who knows and who cares, I don't plan on coming back.

The Beef Tinga empanada has more of a shredded beef consistency, with chipotles, onions, tomatoes, apple cider vinegar and seasonings. I was given the option for 1/2 french fries and 1/2 salad, and I'm glad I did because it was a generous amount of french fries for even half. The balsamic vinaigrette salad dressing surprised me with how delicious it is. Added a lot of flavor to the greens. It took a few minutes of scanning the menu, and looking at the desserts, before we were ready and chose to order. We ended up getting a steak sandwich and the two empanada plate. For the empanadas, we tried the beef and the chicken. The empanadas are not that great. The beef one was ok, but the chicken was not worth trying again. The star of the plate was the french fries. I was charged $6 for a chorizo that was as long as my thumb. In the past their chorizos were much bigger and cheaper. (Do not order chorizos a la carte). 3.
